Man shit hits so hard. I grew up only guy in the family, dad was gone, everyday I was told be respectful to woman while my mom, sis, and grandma treated me like less than human. I wasn't a man if I complained about something. Anyone got in a fight/bickering with a girl and always had backup in those fight/bickerings, yeah that's how it was growing up, shit was annoying every day constantly being instigated until I snap then I have 3 girls yelling in my face. It may not seem like much but shits wears you down, everyday for multiple decades. Everyone's pain is valid there's no competition.
@@Khantrast It has, I hope the same for you, found your music back in 2021 first song I listened to was tokyo revengers, I was watching the anime at the time and the song popped up in my recommendations, since then been bumpin your music in my playlist.
only guy in my family besides a dad, who's relapsing every few years with a few issues in his head(messed up childhood), a mom that has way too high of expectations for me, and a grandma who's depressed for who knows why, i'm constantly stressed with 5 or more suicidal friends i'm always worried that they followed through about on top of all of my family stuff i wish the best you you man, stay strong and the only advice i can give is find a friend you know you can trust and vent anytime you need to
Khantrast, I been with you for 2 years gang. Love all your music no matter how you approach it. Clear Skies is my favorite song of yours. Stay Positive, love you brother.
I really believe this is one of the best songs ever. Not even kidding, everything about this song is perfect. How he describes his problems, how he met rap, his ambition to make it out for himself and his best friends, everything with excellent execution, references and detail. I shed a tear listening to this. If you have ever struggled with life before, you can actually feel this song deep in your chest.
Fellow Asian here. Grew up in a Filipino family, my mother's side is Chinese. This is insane. I was never expecting to relate to your songs, yet here i am, feeling melancholic dude. I will never forget when my mother told me I'll never reach my dreams. Keep it up Khan, much love from PH❤
Been here since 5k. I like the direction Khan is going. He's so versatile. The song right before this and now this. A whole different vibe. This made me cry ngl. Keep going Khan! YOU'LL MAKE IT BIG.
As a Korean American growing up in Atlanta surrounded by hip hop culture, I can 100% relate to this. The cultural differences with having strict stern Asian parents and how much you realize that your parents are just as broken as you are as you get older. Accepting that was the hardest part for me. I just found you through your other drill songs but this song was actual art. Keep going Khantrast
bro went from anime rap to this. this is art in its purest form no flexing no girls no drugs just speaking from the heart about his struggles and what hes been through this shit is fire khan i hope u make some more shit like this word is bond. P.S drop this shit on spotify asap pls
Rap needs you to speak, Kendrick has spearheaded a new era with more people becoming conscious and I genuinely see you in it, u got that passion and I love that, rap NEEDS that 🔥
this is one of the most beautiful pieces of artwork the world has to offer. I am genuinely thankful you brought us with the joy of hearing this, and sorry for the ones who are yet to listen until they do so. Much love!
discovered him because of 'landed in brooklyn' and trust me, i will never regret visiting his channel. no unnecessary cusses or swear words, straight emotions to the paper and to the throat. love your hustle keep grinding.
I can tell you put a lot of work and emotion into this one Khan, this is the rap I want people to hear about. Rap that is about family, struggles, love and life, it doesn’t have to be women, money and drugs. I am really liking this new era you are going towards, proud of you. I want to see this side of Khantrast more. 🙏❤️
Khan Bro, this literally hit my feels like a wrecking ball! Strong vocals accompanied with that Smooth beat and the Cinematography just an immaculate Masterpiece overall! I hope this Hits the charts in the same way, it hit our feels ❤
Genuinely have no idea how much i could have ever related and internalized with a song. Made me cry. My mother started treating me almost slave like, insults being thrown for everything even when I didnt do anything, yelling matches everyday basically, always disapproving anything i did. I met a music teacher who forced me to make songs and perform on stages. This cleared my mind and i eventually had a habit of writing down raps for all my life experiences good and bad. Music saved me as well. Kedrick, joey, steez, MF doom, Madlibs, Tyler, Lauryn Hill JID and wayyyy more got me through some of the worse times. Thank you for making this song. It reminds me that people also struggle in life similarly to me and im glad you doing better man. You have always been such an influential figure in my style of rap.
Damn bro i feel you, life hard sometimes, its never been fair for those that need it, and when you find something that takes you out of the darkness people always try and send you back 💔 🙏 ❤️
Yo, this song is incredible, man, you can really feel the heart and soul he poured into it, especially with the way he talks about the bonds he has with his friends, family, and his desire to grow and improve, beautiful work 🙏
a complete different side to you that we don't see behind all the hype beats and quick words. This was a beautiful way of expressing how rap saved you and pushed you to not only help yourself but those around you. showing you don't take anything for granted
Bring back rap like this, words that got actual meaning and conveys a message, not just shooting and drugs. Khan got a real skill and happy too see you using it man, never give up 💯
A love letter ❤. I cried. As a fellow yellow who grew up poor and made something of myself. Now we have to bring up our village. Our village in NYC has no color. Community ❤🎉.
