Just to let you know, this is called a 'single piped/jetted pocket' in British English. A welt pocket is different, usually found on the chest of a suit jacket. As far as I'm aware, I think this nomenclature is what most tailors use, regardless of nationality.

By the way, it'd be so useful to see a new video for applying ribbing to hem/cuffs/collar, it's really hard to achieve a professional look with this area. Or even better, a step-by-step showing bomber jacket/ma-1 construction. Many thanks!

The seamstress is using a white strip while sewing. Why, what is the purpose of that?
This tape (hard interfacing) is in order not to slide while sewing (sewing gap). When the thickness of the fabric is different, the pressure of the presser foot and the feed dog are not stable. Putting this tape means adding the height, this is very useful.
So when you are sewing materials of a different thickness, you would always need to adjust the pressure of the presser foot. But with this trick, you would set the pressure for the thick material, and when you want to sew something thin, then you would just use the tape making the thin material thick. Very nice trick. Sería bueno que hagan un tutorial como este pero con audio y allí se explique lo que se hace en cada paso, y las medidas que se utilizaron para los moldes del bolsillo

Creo que algo aprendí desde mi experiencia en lo que respecta a diferenciar alguien que hace una muestra de su trabajo y alguien que comparte cómo hacer algo.
