Once you are 15-16 you can ask your parents for a pc or laptop for your high school and college. Your parents will be convinced as you are more mature. I'd prefer for a good thin and light laptop.

First dont buy 60hz monitor, you probaply want to upgrade from that pretty soon. ( I did that mistake) and buy headset so you dont need to buy microphone and headphones separately.

Update for those watching in 2021. I highly recommend cross checking your your parts list with pre builts. Due to GPU shortages you’ll end up either not being able to get a gpu or overspending for a gpu while maybe able to find a slightly more expensive prebuilt at a slightly higher price.

im gonna start a job in about 2 months that pays 12 dollars an hour, and ill be working for around 40 hours a week, ill be saving up all my money so I can buy my very first pc and this video was very helpful as im gonna be on a budget. ill be doing music production, gaming, and streaming on the pc and ive already chosen my stuff for it (I went with a alienware prebuilt pc since I couldnt find any good gpus) and I chose 2 asus monitors. I know its gonna take me a long time to save up all the money I need for my setup, but im excited and determined to do it!

I have a $300 lazboy chair that I got at Big Lots as the last display model for $50. It’s so comfortable I lean back in it and fall asleep all the time.
Sometimes it is easier to sleep that way rather than a bed just due to bad sinus problems, but yknow, young people don’t have those issues.
I am pretty sure even 3 years ago you could use either g sync or freesync with NVIDIA cards. So kind of weird advice here
