Start with: Tour of Entrance, Regular guest check in, theater, Martini Bar (*Vidal* makes the BEST Coconut Martinis!)
3:02: Tour of Excellence Club Swim Up (Room 1001)
6:00: Top of Excellence Club Waterfall Pool
7:10: Tour from room 1001 / Excellence Club check in to Theatre & Magna (*Joan* was the best & was incredibly helpful with check in and check out through Excellence Club)
8:27: Tour from Theater to Main Pool (pass Lobster House & Las Olas)
10:21 Bottom of Excellence Club Waterfall Pool & Cielo Bar
10:58: Magna restaurant & food (*Elinizer* was an excellent server! The sports mix juice is very refreshing!)
11:16: Sports Bar (playing the LSU Game!!)
11:32: The Kitchen Table - Buffet Breakfast
12:51: Tour along the shops, mini market, pharmacy, & spa (located behind the restaurants)
17:27: A very long way around to get to the beach… past Tennis Courts, outside Pool Table, Mini Golf, and Buildings 3 & 4
22:08: Excellence Club beach section & pools with hot tubs
23:18: A shorter walk from Waterfall Pool / Building 1 to the beach
~~ A few notes:
o There is 100% humidity all of the time. The room, sheets, clothes feel damp all of the time. We are from Louisiana and we are used to humidity but this was way more humid than expected.
o Our favorite room service food: Lasagna, Cheese Sticks, Chicken & Fish Fingers, Pizza, nachos.
o Our favorite food from The Kitchen Table lunch: Cobb Salad, Crab Cakes, Alfredo & Philly Cheese Steak
o Our favorite food from The Grill: Fettuccini in bolognese sauce, Taglioni in carbonara sauce, Beef Tenderloin (best steak at the resort)
o Very minimal seaweed in the ocean. The water temp was a little chilly in November but was very refreshing. Several people were swimming and playing in the waves.

Hi Laura, I am just coming back from there on March 1st. Loved it. Now i am looking at your video and it's so familiar. I loved seeing everything on the resort. I miss it already. I wish i will be able to go back there one day.

This is flipping gorgeous. Oh em gee. Just a few questions: Is there a curfew for the pool? Did you have to make reservations for the restaurants? Is your swim up actually connected to the other pool? Seems like the Excellence club was worth it. Is there any reason you chose this resort over El Carmen? Last question, do they take payment when you check in or before? I’m so terribly sorry for all these questions. Lol
Awww! Thank you!!! I think there was supposed to be a curfew for the pool but it did not seem like it was very strictly enforced. There were a couple of people that were in the Excellence Club waterfall pool in the evening but they were quiet, not causing any problems, and were only there for a short while, so no one said anything to them. We did not make reservations for any of the restaurants we went to . There was one evening were we waiting about 20 mins for our table at the Grill but it was no big deal at all. We sat out in the chairs right in front of it, had a drink from the martini bar, it was a great weather, so it didn't bother us at all. Our room was a swim out to a pool that was on the top part of the waterfall pool and it was connected to the other rooms up there as well. There are some rooms that have a plunge pool or their own private swim ups that do not share with other rooms. We fell like Excellence Club was worth it. The check in and check out was a breeze, the alcohol was top shelf and they had no problem at all for switching it out to what we requested. Also, having direct access to that waterfall pool was the absolute best! We went to Excellence Riviera Cancun and did the Excellence Club there and since it was so great we decided that we wanted to do it at Punta Cana also. I think we picked Punta Cana over El Carmen because we heard that El Carmen was more contemporary and Punta Cana was felt more authentic. I’m not positive about the payment question… we had ours paid before we arrived, but I’m pretty sure they would accept the rest of the payment when you arrive. The people in the Excellence Club check in were so very nice. Joan was beyond helpful and always smiling!! Hope I answered your questions … ask me anything if you have more!

I liked the swim up but I want the option of getting into my swim up whenever I want (I understand not being too loud), so I’m a bit worried about that. I will come back if I have more questions.
Hello! Question: how does one become part of the excellence club and what is the cost? I tried to find information on the site…
Heading there this September, did you find the noise from the hallway to be excessively loud in this room?
We were there in march this year, nice place but the wind very stong . Beach most the time close because off the wave 5 feets high.

We were in Building 1, room 1001, directly across from the Excellence Club check in room . It was the perfect placement for us! Our swim out was at the top of the Excellence Club waterfall pool and we had quick access to the main area of the resort - the main resturants, theater, sports bar and coffee shop.... We would love to go back & would pick building 1 again if we could! So glad you enjoyed the video!

We loved the beach. Other beaches we've been to have a ton of seaweed & this one was very clean. We spent more time at the beach there than the other resorts we've been to. We felt the Excellence Club was worth it mostly for the pools - we loved the waterfall pool. The personal service on the beach was great. They changed the alcohol on our room when we asked. The Excellence Club for breakfast was really good. We are actually going back in April & we're doing the Excellence Club!
@@lljbreedlove going for the first time in April as well, but we aren't doing excellence club. Do you think we will miss out at all if we plan on going 7 days? We had thought that the extra savings could go to excursions instead
@ToastyMcNuggetLuvr ( I love that name, btw! ) I think y'all will still have an incredible time. There will be a few places - part of the beach, couple pools, and one restaurant - that's y'all won't be able to go. A few small things will be different in the room, like the alcohol and toiletries. I don't think y'all would be disappointed if y'all did excursions instead of having those other things at the resort. I think yall would still have a great experience at the resort regardless of the Excellence Club.
How deep is the pool by the swim out suite ?
Ranges maybe 4 - 6 ft depending on where you stand.

How was the food? Top shelf liquor included or have to upgrade to club?
Food was fantastic... Chez & the Grill were by far our favorites. I'm not sure about the liquor. We were in the Club so we had top shelf. I don’t think everyone that we met was in the Club & don't remember any of them having trouble getting top shelf. They didn't check names or room numbers so I don't think the bar tenders know who's in the Club & who isn't.
hi how did epc compare to erc? I want to go to mexico but my wife prefers dom rep. been to eec but want a change
We loved both a lot! There wasn't anything that would keep us from going to either. We felt like the staff was a little more attentive at ERC. My hubs thinks the food was better at EPC. We were actually planning to go back to one of them soon - for us, it's whichever one has the best flights to get to.
@@lljbreedlove thanks, I'm surprised as I've usually found even medium priced Mexican resorts better for food than even eec in dom rep.
Hard to tell, but did the sports bar have a barrier around the bartop??!!
And no more pooltable?
There is a pool table and there was not a barrier around the bartop. All of the staff wears masks.
Did the have activities schedule
Yes. There is an activity board and you can see what the schedule is on the App
