Lovely vid.I knew I had a great model when I purchased it plus the boom extension. Saw new full size cabin in shed at Mammoet before their lamented open days in Rotterdam came to end. NOW I have to find mine in the garage and actually assemble it at last ! Amazon Guy - crane nut.
Much enjoyed your stop-motion video, it added to my crane educational. The constant background noise l had to mute, try Wagner next time. Reading through the many comments, l'm amazed at the cost of these models and l'm much impressed with your fleet. Cheers.
Hey, its a great presentaion of the cc 8800! It's a amazing 'monster crawler'!! well i have at the moment the 'little' cc 3800 from the germain crane bilding 'baumann'. so......lift up. 🏗 😀 Frank 🦇
I dont know what to say man. You`re the absolute best to make these incredible awesome stop motions! And that is seriously the biggest hook block i`ve ever seen, you must have spend a lot of time on reeving that one. :D
Very well made and entertaining video, a lot more fluent than a real life video, and I think that keep us viewers watching till it ends. Years ago, I watched a video on TV about how they used to bring down big cranes from the top of skyscrapers in the 1930's after the job was completed, I've been looking, but I haven't been able to find it in UA-cam, If you kow where I can find it, I'd appreciate your help. Thanks for sharing.
That was a fantastic video, I worked for a crane co.as a trailer driver back in the late 60s' our big Crane was a 200 ton P&H truck crane that took about 20 loads to move it On a scale of 1 to 10 Video10+ Music -1 A couple of those cranes would look great model modle RR layout.
I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for taking the time to make them. What type of camera/software do you use? I want to show my 5-year old how stop motion is done. I made a 3-minute film in 5th grade, but on 8mm film. I bet it is a lot easier nowadays. One suggestion: Invest in some lighting in order to stabilize the exposure and eliminate shadows. Keep them coming!
Efrain Gonzalez thanks, any still camera would work i think, i used a Nikon p500 i think. As for software, i used windows movie maker. I think you can use final cut pro but i havent tried it yet. The trick is the more photos you take with the smallest amount of movement, the smoother the video will be. Then you just edit all the stills to last a fraction of a second and it comes out as a video. Very time consuming to make. Which is why i havent made any recently. Don't have time like i use to
its a liebherr lr1300, as for a starter, a good crawler crane would be a liebherr hs855 or a manitowoc 4100, a good truck crane would be a grove gmk 3055, or a terex rt130, or a terex ac100
Give you alot of credit man. Wish all jobsites were that organized. Took the crew 4 reeaal days to put together my 1300. Awful conditions. Not the men's fault. Funny that you used it as assist rig. Haaa
Very cool, I kind of wish I didn't see this, I don't need another expansive hobby. I never knew any of this stuff even existed. Looks like a lot of fun. "The only difference between men and little boys, is the price of their toys."
Great job. Looks like alot of work to make this video and it was well worth it as for as I'm concerned. Keep it up, worth the watch more then once. : )
@spettacolo78 umm, they are really hard to find nowadays, i got this from ebay, but evot-usa or adm vintage might have them, they are pretty expensive now

@CrazyNathaniel Thanks, the weights are pretty heavy, I didn't want the video to take 10 minutes just to add the weights so I lifted a few at a time
