assembly of the model with full extension kit, it took 87 truckloads to haul in each piece, worked on it off and on over a years time. To see photos, go to cranedude07
Truly amazing. you should be proud of yourself. 6 months of work by far paid off. Music fit great to. I cant think of any words to describe how awesome this turned out
My goodness, what a massive dedication you've had to do this. If there was a nobelprice for model crane building stop motion video editors I'd say: we have a winner. RESPECT CRANEDUDE.
Amazing video love all the attention to detail [like the men using a ladder to get onto the trailers]. Thanks for all your hard work that was a pleasure to watch.
PTC35 is one of my favorite machines. I have worked with them many times and helped to assemble them. The video production is great. Although few items during assembly shown are not exactly how we assemble it in real life but overall close to reality and video is great.
Awesome! Thanks, yeah I know some things are not exact, as this is a model, not 100% accurate to the real thing but pretty close, I know the 2 main side beams split into 2, the model doesn't though. And the powerhouse comes off, model doesn't. But I tried to break everything down as far as it would go with breaking stuff.
Holy crap that is an awesome video. U need a bigger house. Can’t even imagine how big the real one is Need the space shuttle just to get to the top of this thing Great work really good really liked it. Oh and the ground crew did a great job too. 👍👍👍👍
forgot the service vehicles and contractor containers but love how you did the stop motion on the building of the crane also i got to say holy shit that is huge
Hi Brandon, This is not to say your other films were terrible, but rather to say that this one is pretty special! And what a beast, even in Model form, this is. Thank you so much for all your hard work, I for one appreciate it and it seems so do many more! I have made three small stop motion films, though where they are now I have no idea, they were only 2 minutes long but took half a day to make, so thumbs up for your achievement ok! Take care. mrbluenun
Was on a job in Westlake Louisiana LACC MEG 1 project it had the PTC 200 DS for the heavy lifts almost unexplainable the sher size. It was setup for 5,000 ton lift the heaviest it did was 1,600 ton lift of a wash tower probably didn't know anything was on the hook lol it made the LR 1750 and the LTM11200 look like tiny toys
Cranedude you are a champion. I work for a construction/heavy lift company and you have done an astonishing job with your stopmotion crane assembly video!! Congratulations!! Are you in the construction industry as well?
ik vind het een enormeklus om die kraan op te bouwen maar ergleuk om te zien mijn groodste kraan waar ik me ge draaid heb was een 300 tonner type 9999 van american op het eiland neeltje jan even 350 cub betonstorte groeten Martien
That must have taken you a hell of a long time to do this entire video. I really appreciate what you do. I recognize the efforts involved in your video and the hard work you put into it. Koodos!
This is AWESOME!!! Until 3 weeks ago I had no idea there was a 'following' of crane lovers! And, I'm 49! Impressive! The time spent to move the 'workers' and make it fluid!
Cool video cranedude, the real heavy ptc liftingcrane's were build here a few miles away where i live, near Westdorpe and Sluiskil, almost in my backyard, it was an awesome sight to see those Giants build and in working condition.
Oh you need to stop bragging! It is not fair to us who can never hope to see such a beautiful sight. Christian, I am just kidding. Lucky you, I am truly ENVIOUS, humbly......well maybe not so much. : )
Wow! This crane is nothing short of brobdingnagian !!! Seeing one in real life must be awe inspiring ! The assembly seems endless, I lost count of the truckloads bringing parts and components being brought in. Thanks a lot for the vídeo, I see you put a lot of good effort here, the end result is amazing!! At first I despised vídeos of miniatures, Always preferred to see the real deal, but what you do changed my mindset. Thanks again and keep posting !
Don't encourage what could very well become a wife. Can't you see he has enough HEADACHES doing videos like this. We want videos of cranes, not nagging wife ones. : (
My friends swear that was 28 mins of wasted time. I swear it was 56mins of enjoyment and appreciation of your dedication and hard work. How long did it take you to do this photo video? Judging from the light in your room I would say around 3-4 days of picture taking.
I worked on it off and for a about a year. Some days I'd work on it for a couple hours, others a few minutes, some days not at all. Just whenever I felt like working on it or had the time. I'm glad you enjoyed it
I am sure you've been asked this a million times. After all assembly how tall is this and since your using stop motion this isn't RC? I would like to talk to you more about this if and when you have time. How can I contact you? Thank you and what a great model you have too. How long did it take you to put it together the first time, being retired I know I have the time to do one as well.
it's about 14ft tall when all the way up. no its not rc, all manually operated by using my thumb to turn the drums. other models use drum keys that slide into the drum and can easily turn with that or a screwdriver. it took me about a day and a half to assemble the first time. this was one of the more complicated, fragile, and more expensive models out there. I wish I could display it fully assembled but it's too tall and I have to lower the jib down pretty far to where it's almost flat to fit. just too much weight to let it stand like that by itself, I'm afraid it will fall. don't want that to happen!
If you haven't gotten one by now you can forget it, as they don't make them any more they were a limited run item as a lot of them are...! But I know what you men as I am retired as well, and I would love to build one...
You should have a background to use besides the wall. Other than that it's simply amazing. You should receive a reward or something for cinematography or something. Keep it up.
you should make it where you have a crane at the yard loading truck then if you are useing a crawler crane to building the other crane make the crawler crane then you start to make the crane you are makeing for the video other wise great video!
wow ... your videos are always amazing but having one of the original PTC models myself I assume you were hugely brave and actually took the main platform apart to make this? ballsy or what !! well done
You should win an award for this video.. the detail is just amazing
Thank you

A video that leaves you speechless, I have never seen such a thing, for us it will take hours and days of extreme patience, really fantastic!
A really impressive effort. I don't know which is the bigger challenge, assembling the crane or assembling the video! Great job.
Hey Brandon. Hats off !! You actually helped me vizualise the shipping sequence with this video. 87 loads is a lot of trucking😁
Holy crap that is an awesome video. U need a bigger house. Can’t even imagine how big the real one is Need the space shuttle just to get to the top of this thing Great work really good really liked it. Oh and the ground crew did a great job too. 👍👍👍👍

You never cease to amaze me with your videos, this model is totally awesome in every way!! Congrats on making yet another great crane video.
the crane itself was $1636 and the ext kit was an extra $415
That is less expensive than I had figured...
Without knowing the price, I figured $3-4k...
It is absolutely beautiful.
How many photos did you take?
riggers....mad ....Mothers,dont worry bout ya kids being cowboys....focus on them NOT being cowboy riggers!!!
What's wrong with riding the ball?.

This was just incredible to watch. I personally really like how you built this in a room, and the outlets acted like a gage for height comparison.
Hello can you tell me the difference of a TWH MANITOWOC PTC mammoet twin Ring crane 1/50 1st EDITION and your MAMMOET PTC35 DS? Thanks Tony
you should make it where you have a crane at the yard loading truck then if you are useing a crawler crane to building the other crane make the crawler crane then you start to make the crane you are makeing for the video other wise great video!
Absolut das allerbeste was ich jemals gesehen habe.
Suupper ❤❤❤
wow ... your videos are always amazing but having one of the original PTC models myself I assume you were hugely brave and actually took the main platform apart to make this?
ballsy or what !! well done
thanks!
yeah I took every thing completely apart to do this video. wasn't too bad really, everything was screwed instead of riveted.
