Thanks for the video, just fixed my misfiring 1999 1.6 megane by changing the coil as it was corroded. This video gave me the confidence to do it. Spark plugs need doing but I don't have the correct tools yet.

Thanks for the good video! It helped me change the spark plugs on a Megane III Coupé 1.6 16V from 2009, that also uses the K4M engine.
Only difference: instead of Torx T30, the coils are held in place by M10 hexagon bolts.
If you have a torque wrench, Renault recommend 25-30 NM force for tightening the spark plugs.

Thanks for the video! I tried this today on my clio 1.4 16v but was unsuccessful. Every bolt that's holding the ignition coils was either overtightned or seized. Will need to drill those bolts out to access the spark plugs. And that's how simple job turns into a nightmare lol

What are the symptoms of bad coils? My girlfriends car cuts out when it's cold but seems to be ok once it warms up. I'm thinking possibly a fuelling issue or something

You should put grease between the coil and the spark plug

maybe the spark plug's manufactor recommends you to add some grease in there. sometimes there are different recommendations for the same part, cause they're made differently (it's only a suggestion)

No it's by factory, while installing you need to add flouride grease or else the coil packs will break down prematurely.
