ChatGPT is NOT programmed to provide FACTUAL ANSWERS, it is programmed to provide POLITICALLY CORRECT RESPONSES. That is very important to keep in mind when using it.
It definitely has politically correct answers because I managed to force it to give me the canned "I won't talk about this" answer with some questions but even beyond that I imagine it's only as good as it's dataset, taking it all as true. Quantity of opinion is probably more important to it than quality of opinion. Thus it will skew always to the most popular opinions in it's data not the most correct.
I tried to ask it for fictional war scenarios and then it started to randomly deny them because “war is a destructive event” yeah obviously I just want scenarios

Germany winning the european war is kinda realistic, since the german military received a huge increase in budget in response to the ukraine war. Germany will be the third ranked country of money spending on the millitary pretty soon.
It feels silly to take this seriously enough to comment on it but here it is. Couple of obvious things to point out: First is that simulation appears to discount the nuclear weapons that Russia would unleash if its survival comes under threat. So conquest of Russia in 3 steps seems highly improbable without blowing up the world. I would also point out similar issues with the conquest of India, Pakistan, France, and UK which are all nuclear powers. Second, the invasion of India by China should trigger a major reaction from major powers including the U.S. and Europe, Japan, and Australia, and interestingly I would also include the Arab states, which should cut China off from access to crude oil. Would Russia side with India in this case and refuse to ship crude oil to China? Regardless of what Russia would do, because there aren’t enough pipelines from Russia to make up the loss, it’s doubtful that China would be able to sustain an invasion against India. I suppose it’s possible that the rest of the world can react the way India has with regards to Ukraine and tell India to “just negotiate”! Finally, I’d like to point out that this simulation appears to assume that the US doesn’t get involved in the Eastern Hemisphere. The AI seems to buy into the notion that the US is happy just having North America. It is true that American isolationism is growing stronger and its withdrawal from the affairs of the Eastern Hemisphere would be a prerequisite for the world’s history to evolve toward the direction of this simulation. The loss of independence and self determination of so many countries is a logical projection of the consequence of American withdrawal from the Eastern Hemisphere. Such an event would gladden the heart of many would be imperialists and regional bullies.😅
@@SysKeyJS It didn't say that directly, but that was the way it was interpreted. I think the prompt said "have only one winner" which was meant to be an alliance or a country but the AI just interpreted it as one country, which isn't really its fault.

I think this is a very interesting situation but my one question is sometimes the countries that are at war are in an alliance like nato fighting each other.
> But who will actually win ? ChatGPT: I will ChatGPT: I mean due to complexity of international relationships and economics its impossible to determine the winner wink-wink
1) Ukraine has no interest in trying to take large portions of Russia, even if they win their defensive war. They might take some in the eastern portion of the country to shore up Crimea (if they take it back), but nothing near what they predict here. 2) Qatar and the rest of the Arabian coalition states don't really get along. I can't see their alliance being functional, even if it could form on paper. 3) Ethiopia isn't winning a war against Egypt. The Egyptian military is really significant and well-trained, and the only nation in the region that they fear is Israel, who pretty much curb-stomped them three times (48, 67, and 73) before they signed a peace treaty and became sorta-allies. They are the top power in northern Africa. 4) Canada and Mexico would never attack the US. They would have literally no hope of winning, so picking that fight is basically the geopolitical equivalent to suicide. Also, they have an interest in maintaining their alliance with the USA, as we render both of them effectively invasion-proof by proximity. 5) China is going to colonize Russia, but it won't be militarily. It will be based on economic dependence. 6) Saudi Arabia isn't beating Iran without help. The Saudi military is huge, but notoriously incompetent due to nepotism (ie. making princes generals rather than competent people). 7) Germany isn't taking out two nuclear powers in a war (France + UK), while somehow conquering the Baltics and not getting absolutely slapped down by the Americans. Conclusion: At the end of their fictional war, the North American alliance wins by a wide margin, as it is the only power who has the force projection to attack the rest of the powers, has the strongest air force/navy, and has a massive water barrier preventing attacks at home. This projection also really glosses over India, which would be a major power that couldn't just be beaten by China. That would be a brutal war that China likely would have an extremely hard time winning without decimating their own troop and weapons numbers. Similarly, two nations that are pretty much ignored are Turkey and Israel, which have extremely powerful militaries (Turkey has the 2nd largest military in NATO, while Israel has nukes, is tied for the top cyber-weapon producer on earth, and has an exceptional air force and special forces). What are they doing while everything is going insane around them in this projection? Israel lacks force projection, so I can see them staying out of a lot of the chaos, but Turkey is literally in the middle of it (between the Chinese and the Germans, with the Russian remnants on their north and the Egyptians on their south coast).

Today you are going to simulate a battle-royale for the world, starting from the year 2023. If a country is annexed, say exactly what state/states gets that territory. If an alliance takes place, you must give the Alliance a name and say what countries/states are involved. If a pact takes place, you must say so and say what countries/states/alliances it is between. Not all of these events should happen every year, only some of them randomly. After a war, the details of what the winning side did with the military, government and people of the losing side should be given. An exact specification of how the war began and how the winning side won should be given. Ask me after each year if I’m ready for the next one, or whether I want information on any of the specific events.
the extra is how a country won a war and how it started

ChatGPT is NOT programmed to provide FACTUAL ANSWERS, it is programmed to provide POLITICALLY CORRECT RESPONSES. That is very important to keep in mind when using it.
It definitely has politically correct answers because I managed to force it to give me the canned "I won't talk about this" answer with some questions but even beyond that I imagine it's only as good as it's dataset, taking it all as true. Quantity of opinion is probably more important to it than quality of opinion. Thus it will skew always to the most popular opinions in it's data not the most correct.

The AI is correct about Russia losing. If it was strictly a conventional war.
Germany winning the european war is kinda realistic, since the german military received a huge increase in budget in response to the ukraine war. Germany will be the third ranked country of money spending on the millitary pretty soon.
Soon ? You mean 2060
One year later: nothing changed money went towards corrpution 😂
Even in 2023 also Albania would get involved with Serbia if the Kosovo was involved because its the same (Albanian) ethnicity in both countries
I like how passive aggressive chatgpt is
It feels silly to take this seriously enough to comment on it but here it is. Couple of obvious things to point out:
First is that simulation appears to discount the nuclear weapons that Russia would unleash if its survival comes under threat.
It's scary how possible and realistic this is, and AI can so easily deduce from history the probable outcomes.
eh the AI pretty much ignored every aliance
Didn't seem very realistic to me.
How
@@characterthing9432 That was the point. The promp given told the AI to ignore Alliances and just assume every country is on its own

ChatGPT: I will
ChatGPT: I mean due to complexity of international relationships and economics its impossible to determine the winner wink-wink
I say do more of this. but use mapchart with the subdivisions to map it out
What did he use in this video

The only events that can happen is a: War, Alliance, or Pact. If a war takes place, you must give the war a name, say what countries/states/alliance are involved, and the result of the war. Alliances that haven't been established can't participate in the war. The result must be given the same the event takes place, and one side must win completely. It can not be a draw. Also say how much of the losing country is annexed(either half, or entire). If a country is completely annexed, it is out of the Battle Royale, if a country is only annexed half-way, it can countinue. If a country is annexed, say eactly what state/states gets that territory. If an alliance takes place, you must give the Alliance a name and say what countries/states are involved. If a Pact takes place, you must say so and say what countries/states/alliances it is between. Not all of these events should happen every year, only some of them randomly. Ask me after each if i'm ready for the next one, or whether i want information on any of the specifc events.

Russia with all those nuclear weapons would never surrender to Ukraine but there might be a chance of losing an offensive war
Drew, what map game did you use to simulate these wars with the map?
Paint 3d i think
he used mapchart
1:52 even the ai knows what is going on!😂 2:40 again! Ha!
At first I was a tad scared but let's put it this way - it's better to have AI develop-able and tweak able by all than to gatekeep, outlaw development because Skynet and go hunt hackers and programmers.
What? Nobody attacked my country? Not even Germany? Come on - Poland's right there! I feel left out!
I feel like the unrealistic scenario of Ukraine taking over Russia is a result of anti-Russian trolls force feeding it information to the AI learning algorithm lol.
im just surprised Germany didn't annex Poland
Does anybody know what he uses for a map editor? I usually try to use mapchart but it's simple map doesn't work sometimes and the map that shows subdivisions takes too long for me to color all of them. I just want one that either shows provinces but not as small as real world provinces are or one like Drew's that let's you color like he did in the video.
He just inserted an image into Paint 3D, which is a default app on newer Windows versions
For MapChart, just go to the bottom and go to the country colouring thing, then select the country from the dropdown list and colour it with your selected colour
@@socialistrepublicofvietnam1500 okay thanks
I also use it, and you should look at the bright side
If you want to make good quality videos/anything, don't touch mapchart. I have used it for years (way before it became popular) and it's not worth it.
Argentina does not have money to feed their people but somehow conquers half of the superpower of the continent. Funny.

1:00 Long Island, NY, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands all opted out of the US UK pact. And for the UK Northern Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey, Outer Hebrides Islands, Orkney Islands, Shetland islands, Isle of Mann, and Gibraltar all opted out too on the UK side of the UK US alliance.
AI is not correct , there is no chance we Croats could miss a big war in any way 😂😂
