- Some of my 11 Meter QSOs using the Radioddity QT40.
You may notice that I'm new to CB radio DXing. I am very pleased with this radio so far.
My Radio Bio:
I procrastinated getting into Amateur Radio for several years. In November of 2021 I started my journey. With the help of UA-cam and the ARRL License Manuals I passed my Technician/General exams in one sitting.
By March 2022, I had passed my Amateur Extra exam and was awarded KE8TQZ as a call sign. I immediately filed for a vanity call and submitted my reciprocity to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. In April 2022 I received my vanity call of WV7MS, as well as, my RMI call sign of V73MS.
From April 2022 thru December 2022 I operated as V73MS from Roi-Namur Island located in the Kwajalein Atoll. What an excellent place to learn the DX side of Ham Radio. I returned back home in January 2023 and have since been on the air from West Virginia as WV7MS.

AWESOME!!!🌍💯
Thanks for the view and support.
Thanks for the video 1984. I as recently in WV, and tried to make contact with anyone, and had no luck. Around Fayetteville, Gully, etc- and only saw one CB Antenna, and one was a PDL 2. I hit your buttons and am following. Maybe next time I visit WV Hillbilly (my Son) I will try again. 73 from Dirty Diaper 21 South Carolina
Thanks for the view and support. I am a newish Ham and brand new to CB. I have fond memories of riding in my uncle's big rig listening to the chatter.

Ive noticed recently a lot more people on side band and lower some on channel 31. Been into the hobby for over 15 years now and glad to see more people using cb

Awesome. Haven't had much luck finding ragchews with new people on CB. I'm sure I'll stumble onto them one day.

Sounds like a plan! Let me know when your around and we'll try to make contact.
Are you running barefoot? I can't seem to get over 12 watts on SSB. Also, my radio squelches when i turn the control all the way counter clockwise, when it should be "wide open".
Yes! Completely barefoot with a stock radio. I do have the NPC on, power almost all the way up and mic gain at about 2 o clock.
I can't seem to get more than 12 watts SSB out of mine.
Why does your display change to "11" when you transmit?
@@captdavec590 I have the radio setup to display my SWR on transmit.
