That's the problem with Steve Harris. Now a days he feels every song has to be unjustifiably long. Long songs are great (hard to get away from them in metal of course) but only if they don't outstay their welcome.
Many times I like his solo work better than his recent work in maiden. I love the first 6 maiden albums they’re all a 10 in my opinion. But since then to me it’s been hit and miss. They’re in my top ten best bands forever but their catalog has weak and sometimes quite boring tracks in it.
All is solo albums are completely different to any of maidens work, I love all his solo albums apart from skunkworks which I thought was to pro rock very lame. My favourite bruce Dickinson solo albums are. 1. The chemical wedding. 2. Tyranny of souls. 3. Accident at birth. 4. Balls to Picasso 5. Tattooed millionaire. A bit hypocritical of Bruce at the end of what he said that he wants people to be less mean to each other, for a start he should start from himself, since the people who come to his concerts travel from various countries, they set aside a considerable amount of money for this, they take precious days off on at work to watch and enjoy his music and he treats them as if they were air when they normally and politely approach him to take a picture or sign something, there are a bunch of videos on yt and I myself have witnessed a couple of times how he passed with disgust, always with an angry face and on the other hand, as Steve.H can always meet everyone and stop to take pictures and sign autographs, I have never once seen him reject someone..
@@stephenclarke4505 Honestly, I've never approached him, even though I've had the opportunity a couple of times, and if he rejected me so nonchalantly, it would be a hundred times worse than having a picture with him, because I've been listening to him and following them for many years and I know the whole band very well and I know his reputation among fans he will only look out for you when there is some scheduled meet and greet meeting and when they have a tour and you see him passing by in the hotel and somewhere like that, he will never stop you, at least for a few seconds, that's just the way he is, and those platitudes about world peace that it's funny, peace in the world has never existed since the beginning of humanity, since then there have been wars and it will last until the disappearance of humanity if that ever happens, but you as an individual can make an effort to be better towards people and that is a kind of peace in the world and moreover, if you know that those people made you a multimillionaire and provided for at least the next five generations, and because of them you traveled the world and experienced such experiences that we mere mortals probably won't in three lifetimes, then I guess it's time for you not to turn your nose up and act like yes from the royal family..
