This little hidden gem is perhaps one of the most insightful interviews of understanding a band and how it works to be successful that I’ve ever seen. Bruce is so passionate about what he does.
Thank you! I think we got Bruce and Adrian really in a special moment without a promoter in the background saying they should hurry up. They knew they are talking to fans who just love to promote their favorites on public access channel.
Adrian, was very good to begin with, but in terms of his metamorphosis over time, I believe maybe he's the greatest ever songwriting guitarist, since his body of work with Richie Kotzen has been released, especially when you hear Richie's testimony of how their songwriting development pannedout
It's a shame they didn't keep this lineup of Bruce , Adrian , and Roy for a longer period . I remember Bruce saying in 99 , he would only rejoin Maiden if he could continue with his solo lineup . Sadly Maiden was a bigger name and made more money . But imo the album Chemical Wedding and AOB , is just as good as anything he ever did in Maiden .
Adrian (thinking): All good with the journalist friend ... But ... It just comes to the note, when I'm having lunch! (The discomfort of trying to eat, answering and thinking that the food is getting cold)
Saw the tour at House of Blues on Sunset Strip Hollywood. So excited to see them together. Bruce laughing at pit during Power slave. Top of my list shows
The interviewer made some very weird/uncomfortable questions, like when he asked Bruce if he considered himself a dictator or a "band Hitler"... that was awkward. Good thing these two guys are so easy going. When the interview was over and the conversation started the mood got so much lighter, good stuff. Bruce tells the funniest stories. Too bad the camera guy didn't keep filming.

Honestly, Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding are better than anything Maiden have been able to produce after the reunion. Still love Maiden though, but Bruce's solo stuff really was heavy as F and these albums are still kickin' it.
I agree. Accident sounded like Powerslave taken to the next level, the same way Priest would always try to take things a bit more extreme. Maiden themselves never really went this direction for some reason, which is disappointing in a way. Brave New World had some great stuff on it though.
