Elfi Arkus Duntov, The First Lady of Corvette - 2022 Corvette Hall of Fame

Elfriede “Elfi” Wolff married Zora Arkus-Duntov in February of 1939 just before the outbreak of World War II. Throughout his career with Chevrolet as the Chief Engineer of Corvette, Elfi was a constant companion, impressing everyone with her grace, enthusiasm, and knowledge of Corvette. After his retirement in 1975, Zora and Elfi would attend many Corvette shows together, often sitting for hours to sign autographs. After his passing in 1996, she became a source and principal enabler behind the definitive biography of Zora’s life.

Zora Arkus-Duntov was rumored to be in the closet. Shame he never came out and there is such a stigma to it. I really don’t think anyone would abandon their Corvettes. Not like it’s bad tasting light beer.

Everyone has a public life, a private life and a secret life.
I and many others don't need to throw a party because someone comes out gay, we have more important things going on in our lives, than worrying who sleeping with who, I for one could give a damn
