Poor Blade, it got a hammering in this video, but great testament to Honda, and yourself of course, for making it up there. Looks like your fear of riding on gravel was overcome that day.
Nice on roxy!! Riding bikes in Himalayas is much fun and it gets better with those signs by Border Roads Organization (BRO) ... I did this trip back in 2016... made me remember my bike trip, after watching ur video!
Sure... nothing great is ever achieved without great enthusiasm... thank you very much Roxy.... we really enjoy that you are sharing with us these great moments..... the beautiful nature... and the great people.... we are looking forward to meeting you when you arrive in Kenya on your Round The World adventure...
I think because your CBR Fireblade has a sportbike engine, the powerband has more oomph at the top end, so you had to rev the engine harder to extract usable power and torque to climb the mountain roads, making you struggle to drive the bike. The Royal Enfield Himalayan, which was rented by Mark has a cruiser engine, which was tuned specifically to give more low end power and torque, so he could easily climb the passes without struggling. I know of a few bikers who managed the same trip on Bajaj Avenger 220 cruiser bikes, which has 220cc engines tuned for bottom end power and torque, and they too could do the climb properly. Also, don't feel bad about Mark taunting you, Royal Enfields are basically built to be able to conquer such mountain passes. In fact, I think you would have seen Royal Enfields all over the region doing the trip like its just another day at the office.
desire to go out the world just like you on a motorcycle, to know places, landscapes, people, cultures, congratulations on the channel, congratulations for your courage.@Marcio Reis - Goiânia - Goiás - Brazil
Wow amazing trip my friend keep it up. Old friend here just visiting, watching and sending my support once again. Always take care my friend. See you in my house😊
Have you tried ro turn the fuel airmixture screws a little bit inside? But remember the position. There is less air at high altitude and the bike get too much fuel. Greetings from an Sc28 driver in Austria 😀
I would probably mess it up :( I tried to balance the carbs once and totally messed it up, so I think that if I tried even adjusting the screws I would forget the position or turn too much / too little and wouldn't be able to get it in the correct position again. But I guess considering how bad it was running at high altitude it wouldn't really matter if I didn't do it exactly right... Maybe I'll try next time!
Possibly, depending if I would need to balance the carbs after changing jets or not? I would basically need to change them almost roadside as I would need to run standard jets on low altitudes and change to bigger when I get higher up which I can do but wouldn't be able to balance them
@@RTWRoxy I think you would be ok, no computers etc pretty basic system on the rrw. Lyndon Poskitt mentions taking things like that with him on his travels.
Another fantastic adventure. but now i have a problem, how can i see others in their big ADV complaining about the struggles and problems in their journeys. 🤪
Haha! Yes I remember meeting someone in Tajikistan on adventure bike telling me I can't do Pamir Highway on a fireblade because they struggled on adventure bike... And it was mostly easy even on a fireblade! :D
