Yeah, it really has the potential of Star Wars level of storytelling throughout different ages and eras of the Avatar universe. Like, Avatar is the original trilogy, Korra is like the prequel trilogy, and the story of Wan, the first Avatar is like the Old Republic which goes back like millennia in the Star Wars timeline.
I wish they would do one for the Avatar just after Wan. Someone who had to figure things out as they went and try to show how the avatar cycle really got started and established...Or at least a book series. A apocalyptic avatar series showing technology falling through and people having to go back to a bare bones primitive existence with no real nations would be a good place to go as well.
Ngl that would be cool. The Avatar after Wan would be in the same boat than the newest one only having one Avatar to consult and i like that idea. Defo want the connection to be restored though...
The 2nd avatar would've been an air bender, who have a strong spiritual connection so wan could've easily connected to him/her. Obviously the struggle part would be the major war and convincing people about the cycle, but figuring out he/she is the next avatar doesn't seem like a problem. The series would be cool non the less. But what about a series on the pre Wan era? Like it was implied that humans lived on lion turtles because so many spirits moves from the spirit world to the human world, they could explore why did that happen in the first place and how humans started living on lion turtle cities.
Which I hope remains rumors. I think the idea of a futuristic avatar universe with flying cars and robots everywhere ruins the antiquity feeling that the OG show had. I could excuse the tech in Korra because most of the world was still relatively tribal and primitive, but I want them to keep the ancient temples and huts and wooden palaces. Makes it feel more magical.
@@controlman7490 and also i want alines invading earth, alternate universes, genetics, holographic tech and laser weapons. Would be nice avatar world on a sci fi setting
@@raidenstark315 Nahhh pleaseeee I can't😭 The problem with a futuristic setting is that the more technology they introduce, the less bending matters. To me it could only work if technology works *with* bending or something
Here's what I hope for for all the projects. Aang/ Zuko movies- I hope they dive into the questions fan had when Korra came out, What happened to Sokka and Suki,Mai,Ty-lee etc, who is Su Lin's father,The red Lotus, Iroh, the fire etc. Kyoshi movie- I hope they use the novels and expand on them, also I hope we find new stuff too. I also hope we learn more about Kuruk and Yangchen too. Korra movie- hope they expand on the comics like the Kyoshi movie and add more, also find a way to either fix the connection to the past lives or have it so the new avatar would have to speak to Korra,Aang,Roku,Kyoshi,Kuruk, Yangchen and Wan.
One thing that really makes me mad is the fact that there was a character in the last airbender comics who could SHADOW bend and her power was driven from vaatu but nobody ever talks about it. It would be really cool if they went into further details about these niche bendings
I hate the technology progression. There are sooo many prior avatars they could be doing whole movies and series on. I get that originally the creators wanted a futuristic theme for their idea..but Avatar just plays out better in a preindustrial world..
I think the technology progression could fit in well in the world of Avatar, especially if it went more in the direction of like Arcane or Nimona more than Cyberpunk 2077 or whatever. We saw in LoK how they managed to start utilizing spirit energy, and the rapid industrialization after the end of the 100 Years War. Benders being so in tune with the natural world + the scientific advancement could easily advance them far past our world, and faster. I mean like metal benders creating computer chips, waterbenders and earthbenders and airbenders creating sustainable energy sources like hydroelectric plants, windfarms, etc. There's also the fact that firebenders are technically plasma benders, as they can also bend lightning. Which we saw in LoK use them to farm electrcity in power plants, but also could be used for cool shit, like screens. I think it would also fit in with the progression of themes in the stories. ATLA was a focus on colonialism (16th-19th century problems) , while LoK tackled topics like eugenics, accelerationism, anarchism, and facism (big in 20th century). A more advanced future would be interesting in handling topics like climate change/sustainable energy/deforestation/destroying habitats, rise of consumerism, political corruption, and other issues that coincide with rapid industrialization. Especially because it would be an earth Avatar.
An earth avatar would be cool, but a fire avatar post war could also be really interesting. Or a series about the second avatar. There might be a future air avatar that has to deal with a new sub cultures of airbenders, restoring balance in ones own home? Some sort of civil war done well maybe? The sub categories of all elements is a cool thing to explore in general. They really do have endless possibilities
not sure if sub categories is the right word? But I mean blood bending, ice bending, sandbending, lightning, metal. New cultures focused on a specific part of bending, emerging within each culture. (These already exist, but a deeper dive into it as the future changes, could be interesting.) Best example of this is the Beifong family. There were new airbenders emerging in Korra, but all airbenders might not be pacifists in the future and we could have a very deadly gang of airbenders. Maybe something to do with sound as well. And I'd love to see more crossovers. Like Katara using ice to mimic earth. Maybe the "ice focused" water benders would develop a closer relationship with the earth kingdom, or maybe the opposite with animosity forming. Who knows? Just throwing out half baked ideas.@@joesunday199 🤔 With a lot of categories in each element, each clan could start to mimic the avatar, by having to travel and learn. It could also be the reason the world is thrown out of balance again.
I Do And Don't. I Like The Concept Of A Sandbender And Genji Himself. But I Rather The Original Creators Write It. And I Believe As Good As Genji Is, They Would Like To Create Their Own Project Which I Can Respect. Hopefully The Earth Bender Is A Sandbender
I don't. I'm glad that the Gengi creators had a chance to express their creative vision but it they are simply are not apart of the Avatar creation team. Mike and Bryan started this. Not them or any of us. I get it. I write fanfiction and have actually started writing scripts about future and past Avatars but at the end of the day I recognize that what I create is just fanfiction....not part of the actual story.
I feel like they went into it full steam ahead then realized that all the animation and lore building was gunna take a lot more time than initially expected. Honestly im glad about it. Id rather them take their time and make good content then just pop out movie after movie like marvel
Would love if they made an online avatar game. One set during aang’s era post war where you can create your own character and what nation you’d want to be apart and then what element you’d want to bend (if you want to be a bender). Then exploring the world, getting a pet, levelling up bending and everything. Idk what the story line would be. Aang would probably be an npc and apart of the story line. I was wondering if maybe the online game should have something like allowing you to be the avatar or bend all elements but I feel that would take away immersion.
@@chent5463 oh yeah. If it was set in aangs time then you could be an airbender or it would ruin the lore. Unless it’s set in Korra’s time instead. Though you could just make it an alternate reality where what korra did happened during aangs time to bring back the airbenders. Or have the story be set during Roku’s era instead.
For anyone hungry for content and hasn't read the kyoshi or yangchen books, you should. There's a Roku book coming out in July and they're telling great stories. Highly recommend
I don't like the idea of involving too much technology in the avatar world. It seems that certain things are not done to keep up with the evolution of the real world. This is one of Korra's flaws, with giant, flying robots, mechas and things like that. This takes away the magic...Anyway. It's a fantasy world, and there's no need to keep up with the world's evolution (Not that we have giant robots running around, which means they really went hard on Korra...) I sincerely hope that this thing of Dragon Ball style fighting and cyberpank thing is just a rumor...
I agree with you. I didn't like the introduction of mecha tanks in Korra either. Even humans in the real world don't have that kind of technology. The cars, blimps, planes even the telephones(although I would've preferred the bird letter system from TLA to remain) I could accept because these things were basically hinted to be created eventually, especially since TLA already had blimps. Hopefully, if there is a new show they realize the mistake they made in Korra and regress this universe's technology back to the carriages, bird delivery system, and no more skyscrapers and modern buildings. I prefer the ancient temples, huts, and wooden palaces. I want to see the avatar riding on a magical animal, not the avatar calling for an Uber.
@@controlman7490 you know there would be no way for it to make sense as its literally the Industrial revolution as well and no not rlly once u have the technology and a steady society like the city it's not Ganna happen
@@Billy-tb5hv Wrong, there are many ways they could get rid of the technology. A post-apocalyptic event could occur that rids the world of technology. That's number one. Second option is certain tech just gets banned. For example, after all the terrorist attacks involving mecha tanks it'd make perfect sense for mecha tanks to get banned. They post a massive danger in this world. I don't have an issue with the cars or planes, but the robots are too much. The creators could get rid of it and it wouldn't be a problem.
Yea didn’t korra plasma bend kuviras robots energy beam? Causing it to open a spirit portal? Or was that spirit bending like when they exorcised the curried spirits? Cause now that I think about it, they did harvest the energy for the robot from the spirit vines… idk🤷♂️
@@ThatFunnyGuyXx nah ti's spirit bending. Plasma bending is confirmed ppl by the founders themselves. I got the inside source from them. We will have light saber battle like darth vader in the future
"TLDR: here's a timeline I'm gonna shove into the last 2 seconds of the video that will 90% be covered by the recommended videos that I put up" 10/10 😂
I want a series of the first and second avatars. Either or both. We saw bits and pieces of avatar wans life but there’s sooo much more we can learn. And the second avatar? I want to see how they figure out their the avatar, did they name it “avatar” or was that later down the line? Do others know of the avatar from wan? Or does no one even know the avatar is a thing? I want to see what happens after avatar wan, after he trapped what’s his face bad spirit in the tree. Did any other avatars pick up sub elements? And were they just lost throughout time? Or did they actually not know of them till the atla series? Cause that’s A LOT of time to never figure out sub element bending
I honestly think they fucked up advancing technology that much within the two series, by this rate the next avatar after the earth one is gonn be in the present which just doesnt sound great. Like the most fascinating point of avatar was how each nation faired with its element and the mystery and well uniqueness of the world. But the modern world just doesnt have space for that, like guns ….. so yeah so eh i wouldve loved a slower technological advance like, korra being set in the early 1800 like the vitorian age, having the next avatar set in like the late 1800 or even 1900. Wouldve been amazing….but he had korra fighting literal mechas by the end of her series like wtf …..
Yup, have heard that the technological evolution in Korra is actually slower than in real life, i guess beside mechas and stuff like that, but yeah, 100% prefer Avatar just as a straight down fantasy, so rather want to see more stuff from before Aang
i agree 100%. i always loved the traditional aspects and cultural aspects of the show. Not to say modern day has no culture, but it is much more scarce and is much more western, as the east is heavily influenced by the west. i just don’t really want to see phones, guns, crazy cars, flying ships and such. i guess we’ll have to see.
Well, the good news is there are a plethora of ways they can rectify the technology problem. The next avatar show can have some sort of cataclysmic event that turns the world into a post-apocalyptic state, which would mean no more advanced technology and characters would be forced to revert back to using bending and primitive tools like spears, swords and rudimentary transportation like animals and carriages. Or they could have mecha tanks get outlawed globally. This would actually make perfect sense because after events like Kuvira almost vaporizing an entire city with those things it'd stand to reason they get banned. Another option is the next show could focus on an Earth avatar who came before Korra instead of after. Logically, this should be a Kyoshi show and in Kyoshi's time obviously all this ridiculous super tech didn't exist. If the creators are smart they will implement one of these idea's.
Earth King Kuei & Fire Lord Zuko realizes there’s a lot of fire nation colonies in the earth kingdom so they make a movement to make the colonies back to the earth kingdom and zuko agrees. Sokka names it the Harmony Restoration Movement. Zuko tells Aang to make a promise to kill him if he turns like his father and Aang agrees. year later while Fire Lord Zuko is sleeping he gets ambushed by a girl. She says zuko is a traitor so they go to Yu Dao which is a fire nation colony where she is from. Aang & Katara gets romantic and calls each other sweetie. Toph has a metalbending academy. Zuko realizes that these people doesn’t want to go back to the earth kingdom and how the fire nation culture there will be ruined and turned to the earth kingdom. The Earth King realizes Firelord Zuko changed his mind so he sent his army to Yu Dao. Zuko visits Ozai for help and Ozai tells Zuko that The earth king will send his army to Yu Dao. Zuko’s spies informs Zuko that Ozai was right. They arrive and they battle blah blah blah. Aang convinced Kuei to stop because the earth king is now facing all people from the 4 nations. Fire lord Zuko falls in a hole caused by Avatar State Aang but Aang saves him. Then Zuko wants to find his mother so he goes to Azula.
I’m definitely not a fan of a cyberpunk avatar with many people energybending and even flying, though I don’t doubt that it’s likely real. ATLA was originally brainstormed as a futuristic cyberpunk series, after all.
That tweet saying ‘except something more like dragon ball’ I really don’t want. I love dragon ball and it’s style of fighting, but that’s its style. Avatar has always had a different style of fighting, less flashing and grand specifically and more down to earth and well choreographed. I don’t want everything to just lean towards that light show 100 impact frames per minute type of anime fights. They tried doing the same with one piece, making it more like dragon ball and people didn’t like it.
@@felixowen2693Yup, I'd rather not have more fights like the end of season 2 in Korra, it was boring in comparison to their normally beautifully choreographed fights! Same with the giant laser at the end of season 4...
Am i the only one thinking that the creators of ATLA said that we will have more projects of atla, immediately after they left the live action project just to go against Netflix? I mean....they left a project concerning their own show, supposedly to work on their own show. That to me explains why they haven't' announce anything so far. Also they could not even stay work with Netflix only for one project, and they said that they will give us more on their own? I dont know, im just worried because i was 17 when they talked about the live action and then they left and then they said they will be other projects and im like... im almost 30 now. You understand my point?
Always was suspicious of the timeline of all of that happening. They leave for “creative differences” and almost immediately announce their own new studio with projects coming years down the line? Sounds like you got a better deal but didn’t want to say it
@@LIFEcjsyeah to me it sounds like they were given a better deal where they could make even more money and have more creative control imo they sound like control freaks
The fact that anyone gives any credit to the thought of "Original Creators" is laughable. The Kyoshi novels are a thing! They are also great novels. It COULDN'T take them longer to adapt the novels to the screen than for Netflix to adapt, write, cast, produce and release their show. The novel is a standard Y.A novel it adapts itself to the screen. My guess is Aaron Ehasz was the real machinery behind the animated show and probably led the behind the scenes, thus why Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have produced absolutely nothing.
it would be sick if by the end of the cyberpunk avatar the main badguy wins and basically destroys everything, making the world be like how it was in atla but more broken. it'll be like a cycle and personally, I think the whole old country thing works better than otherwise
Honestly, I was a huge fan of the medieval type setting that the original show took place in, it made it feel like they had to fight with skill and honor. I just hope they try to keep that same ideal in play when they go for the futuristic show, seeing as it is a bit hard to keep that same honor when the technology advances. But I trust the developers so I’m exited to see what they will do
I dont want the next earth avatar to happen. The old world charm will be lost. Lok was already pushing that. And lets face it, in a modern world the avatars not going to matter as much as technology will make them obsolete. At least to a big degree. Give us kyoshi or yangchen or literally any other past avatar but please dont make avatar modern. Ugh. .
@@BohemasTheTravelingMerchant always a fan of things set in the past. It was more about skill and honor back then. Ill still watch whatever they create but it would be the last thing id want from them. 🤷♀️ Any other avatar would be better. They have a goldmine of good endless content with all of them.
@@codyhughes1147Agreed. The setting of republic city bored me and bending didn’t feel as special. It kinda reminds me of attack on titan (if you’ve seen it), where the titans used for war are just on the cusp of being obsolete and humanity is nearing 1930s level tech.
The Avatar world has so much lore and holds so much possibility, this could be like the next Star Wars. So glad they're also keeping 2D animation alive, too.
Bro you needa write a script or guidelines draft in regards to how you share information. I had to speed this video up to 1.5x just to get through it because there's so much you go back on, you say things out of order in spite you clarifying you're gonna go step by step. Its super audacious that the exact things you claimed peoplemay have been "told wrong" were all theories YOU SHARED on UA-cam. I admire and appreciate creating content on such an amazing story. I would just create a script cuz you bounce back and forth A LOT. It also feels like you're constantly vocally building suspense to reveal some thing you're talking about just for you to reveal nothing. Once or twice OK but throughout the whole video? This probably works on kids for content but for a normal adult like me it's frustrating. You start the video talking about how you're going to go into all this information that people probably don't know and then I watched the entire video just to realize you're talking about the same stuff you've been all the time all you did was basically update the dates but all the theories are the same are all the assumptions are the same and even at the beginning you were like oh you probably thought that the next Avatar would be from the earth Kingdom sing in a tone that would bring a shock to viewers to realize they're wrong when in reality it's the same theory that you end off what?? So all that previous talk about "starting from the beginning" is nonsense or literally a waste of time. You must love the show cuz in so many videos you try cover way more information then necessary and fail to do so. I think you do that cuz in your mind with all that information the dots connect in an amazing and poetic way. Then you try to share that discovery and you're all over the place. Create a script and adhere to it. I want people like you on youtubeand I'm trying to stay attentive it's just hard to focus and understand when you start jumping everywhere or saying filler words or are saying the exact same thing but in 3 different ways.
Valid criticism. I will admit I’ve let the watch time stat change how I make videos in order to retain the most viewers until the end of the video thus increasing the reach. I can see how this would be annoying to an adult audience but my main demographic is and probably always will be kids But I’m still confused on what you mean by me ending off on the same theory I started with. The earth avatar is not and has not been officially confirmed (outside of the recently deleted listing). There were no theories lol
@@MinktheStorykeeperthe video is information that can lead to the answers and about them. If you want the answers only then go ahead and skip to the end.
The only 2 franchises that feet the description for job in nick/paramount archives are avatar and and Danny phantom which is a lot more action focused than adventure but could still fit slightly if the plans are to also have a bigger exploration of the ghost zone And honestly I really hope we will here more from avatar studios soon
It’s crazy to think that avatar of all franchises is having this many delays and speculative rumors, you would think that the creators would be given enough freedom and time for at least more official news to be public, because I barely know what to believe these days. At least we have this channel to keep us posted.
I really hope they don’t go further into the future. The strength of most fantasy projects is the immersion of the world. Harder to immerse yourself in fantasy world with mobile phones and airplanes. Korra was borderline. Anymore would ruin the vibe.
Truly excited for the upcoming movies to expand on the storylines of Zuko, Sokka, Aang, Toph and Katara. I hope the Korra movie somehow involves other previous avatars like Kyoshi and Roku which imo may have more in common with her than she has with Aang in terms of personality. Hope that one expands more on other characters like Jinora.
Avatar Studios are Genius’s, they know how to build up suspense. You are wrong they are not doing a terrible job. They are doing a great job Better then Netflix.
Im so happy and amazed that the Avatar community is very active and on fire these days because of the Live action! As a result the creators and studios are now planning to further create the future of the franchise. I love it 🤩🤩 Thank you guys, from an avid avatar fan here🥰 I really hope someday Avatar after Korra will really be created
Hopefully they keep the name Genji for the Earth Avatar and he would be the first ever Avatar that can't ever look at the past lives of all the Avatars so that's gonna be interesting
It's so odd that such s famous IP basically only had two animations and a few comics and books so far. For s series that is almost reaching 20 years, it's oddly little
I am truly disappointed by the creators it's been 10 years since Korra and we didn't even get a single animated series in the ATLA universe. They are just releasing comics
We need a dragon of the west series. General Iro when he was young, his adventures, obtaining lighting bending, and even obtaining the dragons fire and lying about it. I would pay to see that
Why do they even make live action, i literally hate it....they should focus on animated series and movies as there are so many stories they could portray
I just found out there was a Legend of Korra game for the PS4 and it looks better than the one we got recently, sadly you cant play it because it was delisted years ago and was only digital, with all the new projects we're getting it's the perfect time for it to be ported to switch
Honestly, I would love to see how a Cyberpunk setting of Avatar would be like. The clash between the Fantasy Aspects of Avatar and how Down-to-Earth the Cyberpunk genre can be would be so interesting, especially when the Avatar would have to serve as the bridge between the 2. Now, other than that, it would also fun to see other Avatars from previous or even future eras rather than just "the next one in line" so the writers have more flexibility in what kind of story they want to tell. I can easily see one in a Post-apocalyptic version lf the world, the one just after Wan... Hell, maybe even one who has to deal with an Apocalypse rather than after one.
@10:07 sounds like a send or show to nick thing. Like nick engages with fans irl a lot. Example kids sending videos for icarly. I can see asking for creators for their take on a prompt, using that as inspiration. Finding martial artists, designers for citys, a fresh character design, musicians, sfx making spirits or monsters. Seeing large fan feedback on each in comments. Fresh perspective. Like in the best things ever created, fans become experts with high respect from the creators. Long running series will really utilize that, even hiring. You want someone that passionate to work on it with you.
Same. There’s so much to explore especially with Kyoshi. We can at least have 6-7 seasons with her since she live for about 230 years so they have plenty of stuff to based on.
“You must never give into despair. Allow yourself to slip down that road and you surrender to your lowest instincts.” Uncle Iroh I still think an earth avatar will happens because there still so much to explore. I want to see how the next avatar will deal with the Earth Kingdom after they decided to become a democracy now. Also, I want to explore how he/she will deal with how Korra severe the link with the previous avatars and will try to find a way to reconnect with them and not only relying on Korra (since imo she’s not the greatest one to ask advice for 😂)
i really hope they start telling new stories as well with new characters- otherwise its a speedrun to genre burnout which would be unfortunate as there are so many previous avatars to make stories out of, and stories of characters in the universe that arent the avatar would be interesting to see as well
Thank you for setting us all straight lol I've heard the male earthbender rumor so often I ended up believing it Cannot wait until later aang and gang tho
They need to make a series about one of the older avatars, the ones way before Aang. I always thought ATLA took place in the late dark ages, and I feel like one of the best parts of the show is the traditional/old eastern (except Watertribe) setting, with ancient China, industrial Japan, Monks, Inuits and so on. I just think that's part of what made the old avatar series so unique and nice, and I think it would be interesting to look before that. Heck, maybe even an Avatar just after Wan's time, since the world in his time seems so interesting, it would be nice to see an avatar in his time, or a bit after. I don't like the fact that the franchise is losing it's unique world setting and just getting modern over time.
After seeing the red lotus being like a dark avatar team, I'm excited for an adult Aang movie. And Dragonball Z cyberpunk sounds sick if it's got the original creators involved. Wonder what the main arc will be considered Aang was about stopping war with fighting, and Korra was about keeping the peace without fighting.
Eh, that leak about flying airbenders and energybenders sounds more like an early concept. That particular leaker is credible sure, but they've leaked marvel info before that turned out to get heavily changed. For example they mentioned that in Dr Strange 2, the movie would begin with Mordo challenging Wanda, and then immediately getting defeated when she cuts his head off. The movie ended up not happening that way, but we learned in a later interview post-premier that the movie really was supposed to start that way in an early draft. So yeah, while that info might be real, I dont think it will come to fruition. At least not exactly in the way he described it.
Why are they so bad with creating new content and being cryptic about it? The new game that came out looks like it was from the early 2010s and they can definitely create something amazing it just seems like they won’t
I wish the avatar series didn't depend so much on technology personally, but ig it would be very cool if they can incorporate the bending into the technology well (yo nobody listen to the telegram scammer in the comments)
I really like watching your videos on my phone or listening while I’m driving but unfortunately when you put up that timeline with and without the rumors at the very tail end of your video thumbnails for your other videos just popped up in front of it and I couldn’t read some of it. if you wouldn’t mind next time anytime, you have a graphic display with Text maybe read it out like you’ve read most of everything else or just have a plain JPEG attached onto the end of your videos for a few seconds to be a backdrop for those thumbnails. Thank you.
Here's what I'm hoping for the earth Avatar series- 1. Have the Earthbending Avatar to be male as we would have a Earthbending of each Gender, one male one female. Like the Air and Water Avatars. I also hope if they are making a fire Avatar series after the earth bending one the we need a girl. 2.have them look like Asami. 3. Make the Avatar Bi like Korra and Kyoshi but end up with a guy at the end. 4. Have more bending styles like Spirit and more airbender lore. 5. Have the Fire nation, Water tribes and earth kingdoms expanded on. 6. Have a good team Avatar Consisting of an Earth bender,Fire bender,Water bender,Airbender, Spirit bender and the Avatar. 7. Cameos of Korra characters like Mako,Wu,Bolin,Asami,Jinora,Kai, Opal and Ikki as well as the baifongs. 8.new Avatar powers. 9. Learn more lore from Yangchen, Kuruk, Kyoshi, Roku,Aang and Korra
What do you mean by "have more bending styles like Spirit"? Spirit isn't it's own Element. Waterbenders can Spiritbend. Do you want to see new Primary Elements or just see Spiritbending get more?
Avatarist I've been thinking for some time of creating a completely different world and lore but keeping some fundamentals of the avatar the same i know a ton about this I've read so much and know a lot of lore we could create something with the help of others and use your platform to see what people think just an idea that could turn into reality would be a dream come true I'm sure you could say the same and anyone who sees this let me know on how you feel about this
Id really love to see open world game in the avatar world. Start as any of the factions and have four different potential playthroughs. Maybe even a morality system. Im surprised there hasnt been one like this yet with how big avatar is
I feel like it's gonna be similar to final fantasy. Where there's a bunch of movies and shows expanding on such a large timeline that they may not have anything to do with each other.
Okay so i think by now we either get everything by surprise. Or we get nothing and it dies like it did after Korra. For now only Netflix seems to put in some effort
I would say that a Cyberpunk version of the Avatar could be interesting. We could see the resurgence of the Equalist movement to a global scale because the technology is bypassing the usefulness of the Bending. Several exemples: Like the invention of the Firearm who will give the Non-benders a devastating weapon who can kill instantly any benders, giving a decisive advantage on their adversaries. Modern construction sites like ours employing massive amounts of non-benders workers instead of relying on Earthbenders. Oil, Charbon, Nuclear energy or anything like that will replace the reliance lightning generation of the Firebenders (if they exist in the first place). Modern medicine make the healing of the Waterbenders obsolete. For the Airbenders... well, since planes and airships are already a thing in the Legend of Korra, let's say Sky Bisons will be forbidden to fly in certain places or even outside of the borders of the Air Nation, we can even think that the Airbenders are forbidden to fly at all. The social and political turmoil will reach such an extreme between Benders who has been set aside by the Non-benders who are part of the majority of the people and so, profits from the technology but sees it as a subtle revenge against the Benders who has bullied them for millenias. And so, the Avatar of this era will try to appease a situation who seems to be unreachable. Between the Benders Extremists who tries to have their influence back while the Neo-Equalist will try to "Equalise" the whole population and achieve what Amon has begun by targeting the new Avatar.
I NEEED NEW AVATAR SEQUEL NOWWWW PLZ LEGEND OF GENJI WAS SO GOOD PARTNER WIT HIM ALSO THANK YOU AVATARIST FOR ACTUALLY PUTTING INFO INTO THE VID INSTEAD OF CLICKBAIT LIKE TITANFALL 3 SPAMERS.
I personally have watched the entire Avatar series except for the new movie and the advancement gap was very wide like how do you get only fire-relied ships and balloons to entire cities and cameras a time gap to what Genji's time is wouldn't be surprising but I can't wait for them to make a animated show.
Gonna be tweaking until we get that series of the avatar after korra. Korra arguably is one of the most influential avatars ever since she opened the spirit portals, I can’t wait to see how the world fully adjusted to that.
Ok very hot take here. I wanna see a TV-14 story about Avatar Kuruk. Hear me out. His life was so unbelievably tragic. He started as a good person, a bit of a womanizer and gamesman but good natured, but spent his entire life battling dark spirits, sort of cleaning up Yangchens mess, and this led to him becoming completely torn up. He literally started rotting from the inside out after a fight with one spirit, and all of this horrible energy was draining his vitality. He turned to alcoholism and hedonism to deal with the horrible depression he was feeling. And he told no one about this, meaning that despite his good deeds, everyone just saw him as a terrible disappointment, an Avatar that didn’t care at all about the problems of the world. And when he finally found some happiness in his wife, Koh took her away, and he passed away at the age of 33, and everyone remembers him as a terrible avatar. I think this would be an awesome story to tell that would really be something different for Avatar.
Avatar universe is so huge theres a lot of story to tell, they can literally release 100 movie or show and people wont get bored watching it.
I’m planning on getting one of their paperback
comic books this weekend
Yeah true there are thousands of avatars and you can make a show about literally any of them
Yeah, it really has the potential of Star Wars level of storytelling throughout different ages and eras of the Avatar universe. Like, Avatar is the original trilogy, Korra is like the prequel trilogy, and the story of Wan, the first Avatar is like the Old Republic which goes back like millennia in the Star Wars timeline.
For real. It’s ripe for a huge Star Wars like expanded universe.
Agreed. And no avatar story will be similar due to the avatar and their past lives existing
I never really thought about that! That's indeed a great idea to see how the second avatar found his way to connect with wan
Ngl that would be cool. The Avatar after Wan would be in the same boat than the newest one only having one Avatar to consult and i like that idea.
Defo want the connection to be restored though...
Avatar Tu 😂 for real though, that'd be cool.
His name is aang not wang
as soon as I heard the rumours about a cyberpunk avatar all I could think was "wake the fuck up avatar we have a city to burn"
Imagine new types of techniques like laser control, plasma control, atom control
All the crazy tech like flying satomobiles
Which I hope remains rumors. I think the idea of a futuristic avatar universe with flying cars and robots everywhere ruins the antiquity feeling that the OG show had. I could excuse the tech in Korra because most of the world was still relatively tribal and primitive, but I want them to keep the ancient temples and huts and wooden palaces. Makes it feel more magical.

Korra movie- hope they expand on the comics like the Kyoshi movie and add more, also find a way to either fix the connection to the past lives or have it so the new avatar would have to speak to Korra,Aang,Roku,Kyoshi,Kuruk,
Yangchen and Wan.
I know its already been revealed in the comics but I wanna know more about Zuko's mom and possibly Azula too and her journey to a stable mental health

@@claiku how? The past avatars being lost was bad writing
Finally was looking for a comment like this
Yes very much so
I think the technology progression could fit in well in the world of Avatar, especially if it went more in the direction of like Arcane or Nimona more than Cyberpunk 2077 or whatever.
@@KimonoSukiyou literally flipped my entire perspective
thank you
Been saying this since Korra...
I want to see the old world. The older avatars. Other problems that plagued the avatar.
What did you have in mind when you say "The sub categories of all elements is a cool thing to explore in general."?
not sure if sub categories is the right word?
Did he regain the connection to the past avatars?
I feel like they went into it full steam ahead then realized that all the animation and lore building was gunna take a lot more time than initially expected. Honestly im glad about it. Id rather them take their time and make good content then just pop out movie after movie like marvel
Would love if they made an online avatar game.
One set during aang’s era post war where you can create your own character and what nation you’d want to be apart and then what element you’d want to bend (if you want to be a bender). Then exploring the world, getting a pet, levelling up bending and everything.
Idk what the story line would be. Aang would probably be an npc and apart of the story line. I was wondering if maybe the online game should have something like allowing you to be the avatar or bend all elements but I feel that would take away immersion.
this would be soooo awesome
Obviously you shouldn't only have three bending options hahaha
@@chent5463 oh yeah. If it was set in aangs time then you could be an airbender or it would ruin the lore. Unless it’s set in Korra’s time instead.

The next big sub bending is plasma bending. Air and fire mix so we might get light sabers in avatar in future. Confirmed
Yea didn’t korra plasma bend kuviras robots energy beam? Causing it to open a spirit portal? Or was that spirit bending like when they exorcised the curried spirits? Cause now that I think about it, they did harvest the energy for the robot from the spirit vines… idk🤷♂️

Vaatu is the name of that Spirit.
My pet peeve is when people put tldr at the end instead of the beginning.
But you will still watch and most likely love it coming from them‼️
i agree 100%. i always loved the traditional aspects and cultural aspects of the show. Not to say modern day has no culture, but it is much more scarce and is much more western, as the east is heavily influenced by the west. i just don’t really want to see phones, guns, crazy cars, flying ships and such. i guess we’ll have to see.
@@rlmackie no
Well, the good news is there are a plethora of ways they can rectify the technology problem.
Damn I can't wait for the Gaang movie, I always wondered what was happening after the end of the show
Probably will be about how Zuko and Aang created Republic City or the Gaang encountering other foes that we have not seen before.
And they changed it which ended up bieng for the better
That tweet saying ‘except something more like dragon ball’ I really don’t want. I love dragon ball and it’s style of fighting, but that’s its style. Avatar has always had a different style of fighting, less flashing and grand specifically and more down to earth and well choreographed. I don’t want everything to just lean towards that light show 100 impact frames per minute type of anime fights. They tried doing the same with one piece, making it more like dragon ball and people didn’t like it.

Am i the only one thinking that the creators of ATLA said that we will have more projects of atla, immediately after they left the live action project just to go against Netflix?
I could imagine some kind of Reset. It could have even been what Vaatu's original purpose was.

The Avatar world has so much lore and holds so much possibility, this could be like the next Star Wars. So glad they're also keeping 2D animation alive, too.
But why does it feel lol all this new avatar content will never ever get released?
I can see how this would be annoying to an adult audience but my main demographic is and probably always will be kids
But I’m still confused on what you mean by me ending off on the same theory I started with. The earth avatar is not and has not been officially confirmed (outside of the recently deleted listing). There were no theories lol

Hell, maybe even one who has to deal with an Apocalypse rather than after one.

i really hope they start telling new stories as well with new characters- otherwise its a speedrun to genre burnout which would be unfortunate as there are so many previous avatars to make stories out of, and stories of characters in the universe that arent the avatar would be interesting to see as well
Gosh I want to know the romantic ships that made family, like Zuko's wife or Toph husbands
Thank you for setting us all straight lol I've heard the male earthbender rumor so often I ended up believing it
Cannot wait until later aang and gang tho
I wanted the adult Team Avatar one first honestly. I'll watch everything, but that's what I've been waiting 15 years for.
I’m so excited for Aang to fully awaken his Karma marking
I like the Thumbnail
(I forgot the name)
I NEED a Kuruk series at some point, or maybe even just a movie I just wanna see Kuruk's story
Why are they so bad with creating new content and being cryptic about it? The new game that came out looks like it was from the early 2010s and they can definitely create something amazing it just seems like they won’t
This is so exciting 😌
Exciting stuff man!👏
I wish the avatar series didn't depend so much on technology personally, but ig it would be very cool if they can incorporate the bending into the technology well (yo nobody listen to the telegram scammer in the comments)
Thank you.
And when can we see avatar legend of Genji tell me can this? New avatar become even more much more stronger powerful than korra
Genji is fanmade...
@@even803 please don’t tell me that don’t tell me that bullshit
@@YayoHernandez-b1j legendofgenji.wordpress.com/faq/
Avatar Genji is fan-made though lol, unless they somehow decide to adapt it
@@Bitterime that’s right
Here's what I'm hoping for the earth Avatar series-
The avatar always loves women!!
@dawert2667 what about Yangchen? Also Roku seemed to be into Sozin lol
@@novatedder8644when was roku into SoZin?
I headcanon every avatar as a form of bisexual
What do you mean by "have more bending styles like Spirit"? Spirit isn't it's own Element. Waterbenders can Spiritbend. Do you want to see new Primary Elements or just see Spiritbending get more?
I was really starting to enjoy the legend of gengi by just reading the comics I wish they could make it official
Avatarist I've been thinking for some time of creating a completely different world and lore but keeping some fundamentals of the avatar the same i know a ton about this I've read so much and know a lot of lore we could create something with the help of others and use your platform to see what people think just an idea that could turn into reality would be a dream come true I'm sure you could say the same and anyone who sees this let me know on how you feel about this
Or we could even just do like a story on an avatar but a fan version that would be cool we all know good lore too would be a good project
a cyberpunk Avatar would be a dream come true though
Id really love to see open world game in the avatar world. Start as any of the factions and have four different potential playthroughs. Maybe even a morality system. Im surprised there hasnt been one like this yet with how big avatar is
A vr game where you choose one of the 4 would be amazing
Like the game rumble which the shave now, but that is only earthbending
The original creators left for creative differences was the death sentence for the live action show.
All i want is them just continue after zuko becomes fire lord like from the comics, then move on to the, being adults and so on
I want that too
I feel like it's gonna be similar to final fantasy.
But there’s gotta be a villain like amon or better
I NEEED NEW AVATAR SEQUEL NOWWWW PLZ LEGEND OF GENJI WAS SO GOOD PARTNER WIT HIM ALSO THANK YOU AVATARIST FOR ACTUALLY PUTTING INFO INTO THE VID INSTEAD OF CLICKBAIT LIKE TITANFALL 3 SPAMERS.
Legend of Genji just isn't high enough quality to really be worth making canon.
If they make a cyberpunk one, I really hope that they address, improve, or even subvert the orientalist angle a lot of cyberpunk works of art have.
I personally have watched the entire Avatar series except for the new movie and the advancement gap was very wide like how do you get only fire-relied ships and balloons to entire cities and cameras a time gap to what Genji's time is wouldn't be surprising but I can't wait for them to make a animated show.
Look up what the world was like In 1800 vs 1870
Gonna be tweaking until we get that series of the avatar after korra. Korra arguably is one of the most influential avatars ever since she opened the spirit portals, I can’t wait to see how the world fully adjusted to that.
They need fix all previous mistakes that was in LOM to make good movie and story. This universe characters deserves much more
Oh wow I thought the earth Avatar series was confirmed all along. Thanks for the clarification!
I’m worried about the delays because if they end up taking like 10 years to release a show, idk if i’d honestly care anymore by then
I feel like the whole disconnection with the prior avatars and Korra was just plain stupid. I hope they “un-write” that into the new series
Finally the time has come for new avatar content, man i love this franchise
I really hope they don't do such a large timeskip. Avatar's identity lies with Asian Fantasy. I really don't want it to go into modern territory.
