I listen to all different genres of music, literally from the 1920s to now. This it's one of my favorite songs still to this day for so many reasons. I can tell you right now that your ears have just been blessed. I'm a former singer and there's reasons why he brought in the choir as a background when it comes to his composition. First off he wanted to juxtapose the violence with something so beautiful. He wants you to hear the violence with the imagery of the versus of the lyrics. But he wants to counterbalance that put something absolutely angelic. And your mind goes to the risks of what will happen on the other song continues on this path. The flip side of this is that you will hear a choir singing at their funeral. Do you understand how this is TWO sides of the SAME coin? This is just one example of why this is such an amazing song. This song actually makes me cry still to this day and people don't understand how it is. I can't even say how many times it's amazing. I want to say THIS is amazing a million but the word amazing doesn't do it justice. The way that he does his lyrics and comes down on the LAST DOWN BEAT... it's almost on a 1/2 beat behind at the closing off for each line. Listen to it again.... You hear it clearly when he says the world FOOL! That's because with that break it actually lasts a little bit longer about 2 seconds longer than the other ones do. I have been a long time Coolio fan and yes he's been my secret boyfriend in my brain for a long time too but that is neither here nor there sweetheart. People for some reason many ways I feel underrated his music he seem to fail off after this with a couple more hours Go off into his own direction. Those of us who loved him stuck around, the others just took off and you don't see them decades later. They kind of knew about him beforehand, but then they became real fans when this movie came out. Honestly, I never saw the movie... I don't even want to. I don't want to ruin what his music is to me by watching it used in this movie. So yeah for as long as this movie's been out I've never actually watched it. The clips that you see here of this movie is exactly ALL of what I've seen of it. I understand the premise because I understand what was going on at the time cuz I lived through it. I'm probably one of your oldest people here because I actually came from the LFR FAMILY page. #NYGenXBIKERLady

The song, Gangsta’s Paradise, would also make some people think of airplanes taking off, flying in the stratosphere, and landing when listening to it. It is also a very epic song to listen to while going plane spotting and flying on airplanes when air traveling. That song is very epic to play while seeing amazing night views of city lights and the views of the stratosphere seeing the stars and moon in the sky when flying on planes. It’s very nice during night and evening flights when that song plays to airplanes as they takeoff and land while flying over beautiful cities. So nice when cities have airports when people see airplanes fly over the lovely buildings of cities. It’s so cool. The choirs of that song make it so special for airplanes flying at night and evening while seeing lots of lovely views in the stratosphere and troposphere and moon & stars while flying high in the sky, and the city lights from the ground when taking off and landing.
I love that y'all are visiting classic rap again. I would still love to see you react to Lost Boyz - Renee!! 🔥 🔥 I know you'd love the song! It truly is 🔥! The beat is hard and the story is heartfelt. Please consider reacting to it. Love y'all's reactions!!
It is a scientific fact that if you grew up as a teenager in the 90s, you know every word. Doesn't matter who you are. Doesn't even matter if you were a big fan of the song. You just know them anyway. But it's also a scientific fact that there is no such thing as a human that will say they HATE this song, too. Another fun fact was that Stevie Wonder wouldn't be involved with the song if there was profanity. You don't even realize the lyrics are 100% squeaky clean, because the song is so damn good. LOL! There are live versions where Stevie actually performs with Coolio and does the chorus vocals instead, which is badass.
They all got together for the awards show. They sampled Stevie's tune for the track. ( Coolio Feat L.V. & Stevie Wonder - Gangstas Paradise (Live @ 1995 Billboard Awards) ua-cam.com/video/ZhJUDN4CwnM/v-deo.html )

One of the strangest mysteries concerning Coolio, is in the song Gangsta's Paradise he references being able to see the age of 24. Coolio was 32 at the time. 2Pac was 23. And this is the same time they appeared on Yo MTV Raps and did a freestyle together and rumored to have recorded a song 🤔 However the song may be totally lost to history as there was a dispute over a payment with the producer. The producer asked 2Pac to pay for being on the track. And with 2Pac being the bigger artist and being cool with Coolio, this didn't fly with him. Reports say that 2Pac demanded his verse to be deleted. The title of the song is not confirmed but has been said to been called; Survivin' - DJ Skandalous
i know old ass people who dont listen to hiphop ; who still know the lyrics of this song ; it's just one of those tracks that EVERYBODY knows nomatter who you are or where you come from

Violent protests going on across the world about everything. COOLIO was right on this song . Ain't no gangsta living in paradise period. Rest in peace COOLIO
In this song, one feels all the sorrow and pain of a person who is in a vicious circle and he understands this very well. The state does not need such people, they are on the sidelines of life. And not everyone will survive this struggle. He himself was in not the most pleasant places, for quite a long period of time. Therefore, I perfectly understand the whole injustice of life, someone has everything and someone is trying to survive. And those who have tried only sugar, under no circumstances will understand the taste of salt.
this is somewhat a cover of stevie wonder, pastime paradise, and theres even a version with just L.V. whos in this version, with none of the raps but features the chorus
I have to agree with some others here, this song in the mid 90's completely changed people's opinions on rap and placed it in a much better light especially to white people on both sides of the political aisle. All while telling it how it was and getting their point across.
My middle of my 3 amazing daughters has Asthma and their mom and I are divorced so I’m always worrying about my middle angel when she’s at her moms. It really scares her and terrifies me when she’s had an attack and I don’t think most people know what it’s like to not be able to breathe or see your child in that state.
This song never gets old.
The movie this song is based on…Dangerous Minds…is definitely worth the watch!
Some old school rap Self Destruction - Stop the Violene Movement, Heavy D and The Boys -We got Our own Thang
Yes Self Destruction
Some things leave a mark. They never leave us. This song is one among them.
Hey guy’s this such a cool song Coolio gangstas paradise your reactions was cool 😊😊
When I moved to Nevada my asthma has been completely under control. I liked that you brought it up.
You should watch the version where they sing live on Howard stern no auto tune or nothing it’s straight gold!
This is not the original video for this song but the original has probably been erased enough now that you couldn't find it.This version was made for a movie called Dangerous Minds.
Coolio appeared in one original Battlestar Galactica series episode and this song was playing in the background.
Hard as song
My mom passed from asthma at age 54 way to young . She had a rough medical history with bad lungs and had a heart attack and never recovered. I miss her everyday so take care of yourself. ✌ ❤🇨🇦
Rip coolio... brother
Love this song sounds like old time rap 10
One of the strangest mysteries concerning Coolio, is in the song Gangsta's Paradise he references being able to see the age of 24. Coolio was 32 at the time. 2Pac was 23. And this is the same time they appeared on Yo MTV Raps and did a freestyle together and rumored to have recorded a song 🤔
However the song may be totally lost to history as there was a dispute over a payment with the producer. The producer asked 2Pac to pay for being on the track. And with 2Pac being the bigger artist and being cool with Coolio, this didn't fly with him. Reports say that 2Pac demanded his verse to be deleted. The title of the song is not confirmed but has been said to been called; Survivin'
- DJ Skandalous

Rest in peace COOLIO and we still spending most of lives living in a gangsta paradise. Violence rate up since 2020.war is going on in Ukraine.
This song is a top 10 hiphop track of all time type of song. Legendary song
this is somewhat a cover of stevie wonder, pastime paradise, and theres even a version with just L.V. whos in this version, with none of the raps but features the chorus
I have to agree with some others here, this song in the mid 90's completely changed people's opinions on rap and placed it in a much better light especially to white people on both sides of the political aisle. All while telling it how it was and getting their point across.
Still gives me goosebumps!!!
No disrespect
I have said this for years
I do not know the name of the man singing that back up vocal , the chorus
That man got the voice of an Angel
RIP Coolio 🙏 I'm glad you guys reacted to this jam 💪
Rest peacefully Coolio. ❤
Came out when I was about 13 and was everywhere!!!! A great piece of music.
you two are amazing
Stevie! This song and the lyrics evolved over the decades.
Happy for ya it’s going better!
