Dave Filoni never saved *Star Wars.* It didn't need saving. People need to start watching stories for what they are, not what they expect them to be. He didn't carry *Star Wars* on his back for ten years. However, he was trained by the master. If Dave did it, George told him how. Everything he's done has been congruent with the OG. Every story paralleled has its own twists and personal touches. Please present some legitimate arguments so I can take a break from typing. *Star Wars* is based on history and politics. George _borrowed_ ideas from MANY stories, mixed them up, and retold them his way. Nothing is plagiarized. Everything they've done is changed ten times the legal amount, and every court case against him has been laughed out of court. If you don't like it, then _move along. There's nothing to see here._
You dont think thr last 2 episodes were kind of a let down? I kinda felt it left off without much resolution and skipping over much of the character moments people rightfully expected we'd get imo
I dont care about the Acolyte , I click because of Ashoka S2 , I watched the interview with Hayden and Rosario and I did find interesting that they will be doing that like if something was going on behind the scenes with that show , very exited about what the role of Hayden as Anakin will be in S2 and what Dave is going to do with the character, also with Ashoka , Rosario is very good student at least from what I saw on the interview

I remember when The Empire Strikes Back came out... It was a huge divergence from the previous movie. In hindsight, it makes sense now, but back then it wasn't. So I'm not surprised Lucas' ideas regarding Star Wars movies could be even more extreme.

I've been involved in the fandoms of Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Star Trek, and Star Wars since the '70s, and I can say without hesitation that Star Wars has more hateful, toxic fans than the other three fandoms put together. Star Wars has animal magnetism---it attracts animals.
That's how I see things now. Clearly, Dave needs a writers room to help improve his ideas. Lucas had help with ANH and ESB, but not with the prequels, and the fanbase ripped him to shreds. If Lucas was still in charge and did his ideas for the sequels, I have no doubt he would still be a target to fan hate.

Eventually, Star Wars will have to focus on the rescue of Omega from Thrawn by Asajj and Fenec, where Omega learns Jedi, Sith, Night Sisters, and assassin martial arts, for her eventual return to battle Thrawn. Omega vs. Thrawn is the next 5 years future of the franchise.
Correct, most time Star Wars animation is better acted, has better dialogue, has more time for character development, adds more mystique and better world building. Some of the dialogue is in the acolyte is terrible and some sets look like those of Star Trek original series. (The acolyte has some good points to build a story with based on the lore they use, but execution fails thus far)

It is a change of pace from the usual mythology of Star Wars and IMO the reason for the bad reviews is from the same people who trashed it before even the first episode was shown and we all know people hate to admit they are wrong. I am one of those that tries not to listen to all the negative UA-cam vids and such. But so far I have not been impressed too much with Acolyte. I mentioned before that I think the pacing is slow and have come to the conclusion that the story is erratic. I for one do not like the why they focus on flashbacks. I think, "just show everything in order as it happened". And while flashbacks can be a great storytelling device, in this instance it seems like it is out of place in the order presented. Example, why not place Ep. 3 ahead of Ep. 1. I can agree with a brief flashback between the sisters here or there but an entire episode...no.

Andor S2 will probably not hold up to S1, considering the rushed pacing. S1 covered 1 year, while S2 is supposed to cover 4 to 5 years of Cassian’s life before R1 in the same amount of episodes.

I don’t know if I can watch Asoka again. I found the first season to be as weak and nearly as pathetic as Kenobi and Boba Fett. The Acolyte, made me realize that KK has no idea what a good show requires. Not even thinking of the controversial aspects, it’s obvious the writer(s) are not fans, or worthy of their appointment. Sabine was NOT the established character, Hera was a disappointment. As a fan of all the animated series, I found Asoka to be just terrible. I don’t want to be disappointed further. I used to believe Filoni to be someone that would write a show better than what came before. I have since lost faith. Currently , I envy those who find enjoyment in Star Wars content and wonder at their ability to do so.

Ahsoka was just fine for me. My only beef was with the dreaded lightsaber to the gut recovery. Other than that, Ahsoka was solid.

I remember when The Empire Strikes Back came out... It was a huge divergence from the previous movie. In hindsight, it makes sense now, but back then it wasn't. So I'm not surprised Lucas' ideas regarding Star Wars movies could be even more extreme.

I've been involved in the fandoms of Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Star Trek, and Star Wars since the '70s, and I can say without hesitation that Star Wars has more hateful, toxic fans than the other three fandoms put together. Star Wars has animal magnetism---it attracts animals.
That's how I see things now. Clearly, Dave needs a writers room to help improve his ideas. Lucas had help with ANH and ESB, but not with the prequels, and the fanbase ripped him to shreds.
If Lucas was still in charge and did his ideas for the sequels, I have no doubt he would still be a target to fan hate.

Allen Xie (Generation Tech) who enjoyed Episode 3 made a great point in his recent video. That’s Star Wars to him. It’s meant for kids as George Lucas has said many times. This is not Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. The scenes with Mother Aniseya with Osha and Mae were very sweet. The way Shmi loved her son, you can see that in Aniseya and then eventually in Sol around Osha. It’s those little quiet scenes between a parental figure and child that I enjoyed from it.
It’s not all about lightsabers duels that Prequels fans are addicted to. It reminded me of Obi-Wan teaching Luke the ways of the Force in ANH and then Yoda in TESB. Star Wars is all about a kid’s journey whether it’s Luke, Anakin, and even Cassian, watching them grow up, and whether they choose to be good or bad with their life.
I think Prequels fan, Star Wars Theory, only wants Revenge of the Sith be done a thousand more times. Cool lightsaber duels is all he cares about. Star Wars is Soulcalibur with laser swords to him. But seeing Star Wars at age 34 is different than seeing at 9 through 15 again. It may not appeal to him like it used to. He’s not seeing it from a kid’s perspective like he did 19-25 years ago no different than my generation mocking the Prequels since we were in our late teens to mid 20s when those came out. We whined about Jar Jar, Midi-chlorians, and George ruining our childhood with the Special Editions but the late 80s and 90s babies accepted them as gospel from Lucas. Hence, revisionist history on the Prequels comes out.
Who was the most popular character in last year’s Ahsoka which consisted of mostly female characters? Baylan, another WHITE MALE character. Now Baylan did deserve to be the most popular. He was no doubt my favorite. Ray did an amazing job. Thrawn and Ezra were the only other male leads in it. Who do you think is the most popular character in The Acolyte? Sol or maybe Qimir. Two Asian males. As long as it’s male and preferably white, male SW fans are drawn to them.

Listen, I don’t think The Acolyte is any good. I currently rank it below the Kenobi series. That’s not good at all. It could end up at the very bottom once I see the final 5 episodes. All these videos saying how the viewership for The Acolyte sucks. Whether you think The Acolyte is utter garbage or not, it does have potential to open up future projects. Again, The Acolyte is set in 132 BBY. It’s similar to House of the Dragon serving as a prequel to Game of Thrones and set 172 years prior to Daenerys Targaryen’s birth. What if this leads us to Tenebrous to Plagueis to a young Sidious series who was born 48 years after The Acolyte happens?
I know people hated the idea of Palpatine back in The Rise of Skywalker. Didn’t make sense. But why not an origin story about a young Palpatine? Prequels aren’t all bad. Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One are prequels. Andor is a prequel to Rogue One. Furiosa, X-Men: First Class, Better Call Saul, House of the Dragon, Cruella, Prey, Pearl, Temple of Doom, The Godfather Part II (half-prequel).. We got Mufasa coming out in December.
The Acolyte is the first ever live action Star Wars project to be outside the Anakin/Luke Skywalker timeline. It has potential to set up other great stories before the Space Jesus was born and went from Lucifer to Satan and back to Jesus/Chosen One after about 23 years. Isn’t that what Star Wars fans want? Exploring different time periods with different characters?
I don’t hate The Acolyte. I think it’s misunderstood like The Phantom Menace was 25 years ago when older SW fans like me were whining how it’s a kid’s movie and isn’t catered to someone like me at age 18, whined about Jake Lloyd’s Mannequin Skywalker acting, Jar Jar’s annoyance, confusing story about trade federations, and how Midi-chlorians ruined the mystique of The Force.
The complaints we hear about Disney Star Wars today, we heard many complaints for the SEs and Prequels from 25+ years ago and how George Lucas was ruining our childhood. And why is The Acolyte being called WOKE for the diversity in the cast? Have you seen the cast for Bridgerton? It’s set from 1813-1827 in England. You will see Black and Asian faces. Those ethnicities were not common in that country during that time period.
Jodie Turner-Smith did a fine job as Mother Aniseya. I felt more love and compassion from her towards those twins than the actress who portrayed Shmi Skywalker (Virgin Mary character) towards Ani. Sol and Mother Aniseya are the standouts so far. Give it a chance. I think The Acolyte will only get better. Lesyle said Ep 5 is when things will get wild. Ahsoka peaked from Ep 4-6.

Correct, most time Star Wars animation is better acted, has better dialogue, has more time for character development, adds more mystique and better world building. Some of the dialogue is in the acolyte is terrible and some sets look like those of Star Trek original series.

I like the Acolyte. It is a change of pace from the usual mythology of Star Wars and IMO the reason for the bad reviews is from the same people who trashed it before even the first episode was shown and we all know people hate to admit they are wrong. Plus the minute someone say "woke" I automatically dismiss them because they have no clue on what it means, just like a parrot saying it because of RW political tropes
I am one of those that tries not to listen to all the negative UA-cam vids and such. But so far I have not been impressed too much with Acolyte. I mentioned before that I think the pacing is slow and have come to the conclusion that the story is erratic. I for one do not like the why they focus on flashbacks. I think, "just show everything in order as it happened". And while flashbacks can be a great storytelling device, in this instance it seems like it is out of place in the order presented. Example, why not place Ep. 3 ahead of Ep. 1. I can agree with a brief flashback between the sisters here or there but an entire episode...no.

The Acolyte, made me realize that KK has no idea what a good show requires. Not even thinking of the controversial aspects, it’s obvious the writer(s) are not fans, or worthy of their appointment. Sabine was NOT the established character, Hera was a disappointment. As a fan of all the animated series, I found Asoka to be just terrible. I don’t want to be disappointed further. I used to believe Filoni to be someone that would write a show better than what came before. I have since lost faith. Currently , I envy those who find enjoyment in Star Wars content and wonder at their ability to do so.

I dont think George Lucas could do worse then Disney+ . The should make movies like Star wars the old Republic trailers it would be a huge hit i ve seen it 30 times in two months.😊
I doubt anything Star Wars will happen after the backlash to the trash of the acolyte. Skeleton Crew might be the last we get in a while.

I hate Ahsoka season 1. I hate that it's just a live action continuation of Rebels, done worse. I hate that they butchered Thrawn. They should've just given Ahsoka her own separate story; she was operating alone in the Mandalorian. I don't see how they can fix everything wrong with season 1 in a second season. Much like Rings of Power.
He also destroyed Sabine's character...the whole force sensitivity thing came out of nowhere and she was a lot cooler as a Mandalorian with Lightsaber training.
Favreau was behind the successs and brains of the first 2 Seasons of The Mandalorian, and Lucas was behind the greatness of The Clone Wars. Filoni is nothing but Kennedy’s puppet, who writes horrendous dialogue, always puts his characters over the OG’s, and the Tolkien estate should consider suing him for continuing to steal and copy Tolkien’s work and make it “his own”. Literally copied “Ahsoka the White” from Gandalf, Disneyfied Wargs, and he completely copied and pasted The Argonath. Filoni has always been a joke and will sink with Headland and Kennedy on the Lucasfilm Titanic.

Notice how they tossed the Sabine and Ezra relationship out of the window right away, and just made it a friendship. Even the actresses are trying to make it happen. It’s nothing but activist propaganda now at Lucasfilm. The talented storytellers and writers have all left the building. No children for Luke, Boba, Lando, Obi-Wan, and Han’s kid killed him. SMH
