I like the look of this episode. I assume it was one of those episodes that went through digital ink and paint. And yes, several years before The Bob came around with its second season. Angry Beavers was another show I remember episodes with that sort of process.
I really do like one but the more I watch it, the more the episode feels tired. It was the Games crew’s last episode and they wanted to just be done with the show but they still made a fun holiday ep. This episode’s story is completely all over the place and it’s the clearly the cartoon’s biggest fault. You don’t really care about Stimpy’s journey (outside of the great freakout scenes) but it still looks great especially for S5 standards. The best aspect of the special is easily the dialogue and situational humor, tons of very funny scenes in this one like the scene of Stimpy and the oaf together, the police destroying SW’s motel, and the entire Yaksmas song are all great moments. I especially love the joke of Ren nonchalantly betraying his best friend while Stimpy is emotionally destroyed by it. Overall, I think this special has a vibe to it that I quite like. Probably an 8 or 8.5 out of 10 cartoon.
That was the same thing with Reverend Jack. They were just finishing the quota for the last season. There were things that Nickelodeon didn't care about that would be censored in earlier seasons. It was just do what needs to be done to finish this last season
Kind of boring episode. But I like seeing Muddy's wife Gorgo. That's like the third or fourth time we saw her. Maybe they could have had their own episode and we find out how they met... would be more interesting than this I think.
It's strange that iconic Stimpy's iconic catchphrase "Oh Joy!" is rarely used in Games Animation era, I just remembered this catchphrase exist after watching this episode, wow (by the way nice video).
The last special in the original Ren and Stimpy show and I am unfortunately not a fan. I feel really bad for Stimpy here. Everyone is so mean to him. Especially Ren, I did not like him at all here. The worst thing about it is, this episode was one of the few Season 5 episodes the ex-Spumco crew seemed to put most effort in. It is one of the better looking Season 5 episodes for sure, but not a very enjoyable one. The reason A Scooter for Yaksmas is seen as Ren and Stimpy's series finale is because Nickelodeon refused to air the last 2 episodes. MTV aired them in October 1996.
An alright episode, though the story was pretty cliché, it was still well executed & the visuals were pretty good. Though (for the umpteenth time) the episode wasn't too funny & the facial expressions looked rushed. Still; I would put this Christmas special above the previous one, but not by much. I'll give it a 7/10
I must say that this is probably the most random episode comparison I’ve ever seen within this show, not helped by the fact that Stimpy’s Fan Club is an S tier Spumco cartoon while A Scooter for Yaksmas is a more of a low B tier Games cartoon. No disrespect if you like Yaksmas over Fanclub as you are entitled to your own opinion but I couldn’t fathom it personally.

We're in the end zone! This is normally considered the final episode by Nickelodeon themselves.
Your name for Ren's Fez is better. I love Smart Hat.

9:39 Stimpy was frantically upset that Ren refused to afford the expensive scooter for Yaksmas. Would that be a total drama?
Noooo ill miss this series
He's going to do retrospectives on Adult Party Cartoon after he finishes the fifth season.
Isn't he going to look at the comics as well?

They didn’t use it a lot in Season 5 but it was used consistently in Season 3 and showed up a good amount of times in Season 4.
The phrase happy happy joy joy, the show’s big catch phrase, is said like once after season 2; such a dumb decision honestly
“he’ll play with me…”
*”JOOOOOOYYYYY!!!”*
I like your profile pic. 🤣🤣

You find this one better than Son of Stimpy?
Just by a bit
Great video keep up the good work
4:30 Fine by me.
This was a great episode. The final special of the series, and it was done right.
Is it better than Stimpy's Fanclub or not in your opinion?
AHHAHAHAHAHA
What is so funny?
Lemme scooter that in - sounds like an Annoying Orange joke 14 years before AO
Is that even a question? Stimpy’s Fan Club is better

16:33 LOL
I actually did enjoy this episode, even though it’s not really top tier and there were a lot of filler scenes
Ill bet youre dreading the next episode...
Sammy And Me, Why?
