Also, in rare interview from April of 1996, recorded shortly before he passed away, Tupac apologized to Janet for taking part in the PR stunt, and even mentioned her song in his song "My Mind Made Up" asking for her forgiveness.
"She met me at a time in my life when I was real immature. I was coming up, going through a lot. You know? Now, she'd probably see me in a whole different light. Maybe not, maybe she will. But I want that opportunity. So, when I see Janet I'm try to make right what we made wrong" - Tupac, April 1996.
Unfortunately, he would never get a chance to apologize to Janet face to face.

That was so irresponsible of John and Pac. All because she was not checking for either of them? She did not owe either of them anything! At least Pac did apologize for his part in the foolishness before he died. A guilty conscious and a lost friendship is no joke. Smh.
I honestly don't think Pac was in on it. If you listen to all the interviews. I think this was solely crafted by John who is known for lying. I think Pac apologized cause he stated in an interview that it was difficult working with Janet, but he later clarified those comments in later interviews many times.
