Acoustic amplifier phone stand with Iron-wood Reflectors

- This is a smartphone speaker made with a focus on sound quality.
Holes are drilled in the solid walnut wood to create a sound path and amplify the sound emitted from the phone.
If you like it, please subscribe to my channel.
====== Details ======
The sound path gradually increases in diameter from 15mm to 20mm to 25mm, amplifying the sound efficiently.
At the bends of the sound path, reflectors made of Ipe wood, also known as "ironwood", which is very hard, are installed.
High frequencies are directed to the right side of the sound path by the second reflector.
The right side sound path is shorter and amplifies the highs.
The mid-bass sound goes through the gap around the second reflector to the left side sound path.
The left side sound path is longer and amplifies the mid-bass.
The last reflector has a large diameter and directs the sound to the front.
The final reflector is visible from the side and is a key point in the design.

13:46 Perhaps my camera's auto-gain control has been activated during recording.
The change in sound when the phone is removed is consistent with actual hearing.

Excellent crafted work - best from Germany
Thank you!!
Very nice! …one thing to ad may be a small hole so that the phone can be charged while on the device
Thank you!
I often get that feedback, but it would make the unit much thicker.
I am trying to think of a better way to do this!
Best sound quality among others I have seen. Congrats!!!
Thank you!!!
Beautiful looking , great sound !

I’m sure it’s nice and sounds great; in person - but the skill and ingenuity of craftsmanship… I could watch him build anything just got the ingenious ideas and jigs.
And bonus; some great music I looked up and found some free for content creators songs.
Thank you!!
It is really nice!!!!
Thank you!

Dude!!, What great craftsmanship you're showing. I like your use of equipment too. Next to the splendid result.
Yeah.
Amazing.. such creativity with the jigs. Truly a master.
Thank you!!
I put my phone in a small ceramic bowl on the table when I cook, it also acts as a nice passive amplifier
I think that sounds good!
quality meets perfection 🤩😍🥰

"how many drills do you need?" this guy: "yes"
4.
I have no talent so I just put mine into a tapered pint glass where it doesn't quite reach the mid point.
Thank you!
That sounds good too!
😂
I had to settle for buying a used JVC MP3 player, and patch my phone into Audio In.
Beautifull!
Thank you!!
God Bless you!

Береги пальцы, Сеня! Все это хорошо, но здоровье важнее, говорю как инвалид, которому тяжело что мастерить, но жуть как хочется! Good luck!

@@7chome_seisakusyo Parabéns!
Entertaining to watch? Yes. Two things; Who has these tools? and Why if they are not for sale? Anyway, very cool.
Thank you!!
Gotta have one! Only, I think I'll use a router and make the chamber in two halves so as to make boring a lot easier. Will have to make a video of my own. Thanks for the inspiration.
I think it is a good idea!!
for water... and for sound, eblow are better than curve.
Thank you!
This guy over here builds jigs for his jigs!
I must be an idiot.
There must be something lost in translation. I am complimenting you on your jigs. Good Work!!
Oh,sorry maybe it is translation error.
Thank you so much!!
Impressive.. I really want hear it up front..
Thank you!!
very good & owsome project ty
Thank you!!
Excelente 👌

Wow, I didn't know there was ype in Japan
It's sold for wood decks.
This is made from the scraps of wood.
@@7chome_seisakusyo Interesting, ype is a very common tree here in Brazil, we separate them by the color of flowering, including the pink color is very similar to the flowering of the Japanese cherry tree.
parabéns pela criatividade.
Thank you!!
nice❤🎉
Thank you!!
Great craftsmanship. May I purchase this amplifier? I believe this would help me, I don’t hear as well as I used too. Please answer this comment!
Thanks for the comment!
Unfortunately, it is sold only in Japan.
It seems that an overseas forwarding service has recently started, but I am not familiar with it.

Patenta el invento antes que te lo copien. Y vendelo, vas a ganar mas que en youtube. Yo sin duda te compraria uno. Realmente amplifica los sonidos. Es un poco tenue con los graves pero para eso ya estan los dispositivos electrónicos.
Thanks for the comment!
I'll consider it.
You could have bought a used mini lathe for all the labor you put into that dowel jig brotha.
My labor charge is almost free.
Amazing
Thank you!!!
Should try finishing with carnauba wax.
Looks good! I'll check it out.Thank you!
Вот это аналоговый усилок!
Yeah!
Good design sound same sony qualty .ı hope phone too sony xperia :) hello from turkey
Thank you!!
If you vary the 2dn reflector depht, can you "equalize" the sound? I mean, get more or less bass or high?
I think it's possible, but I'm not sure.
It is interesting to try to make it an adjustable type.
Elegance
Thank you!!
genius
Thank you!!
the sound is more linear without your acoustic amplificater, you add resonance in mid, kill the high and don't get more bass
but it's louder yes
Good.
Молодец 👍 привет из России
Thank you!!
EXCELLENT, CONGRATULATIONS.. IF IT WAS NOT SO WORKING I WOULD ASK YOU FOR ONE AS A GIFT....
Thank you!!!
super cool i love it, i designed resonation systems in my younger days for musical instrument makers, you should check out helmholtz resonance theory for amplification I think it could help you with your next design iterations and it would also help to add some well place sticky back felt in the cavity to absorb some of the higher frequencies.
Thanks for the comment!
I'll consider it.
amazing , 2 things , please could you do a video on your dowel maker , it is of interesting construction , and the second , Konnichiwa from Australia .
Thanks for the comment!
I'm thinking about updating the lathing jig, so I'll shoot a video at that time.
ua-cam.com/video/pc1ExHc80cg/v-deo.html
What was the very first material you cut? It looked similar to a wood I salvaged but I don’t know what it is.
Ipe wood. Also known as "ironwood."
Decking material used for boardwalks in public facilities.
Very hard and heavy. Sinks in water.
I use the leftover material from when I built a wooden deck at my home.
Magnificent !
Are these for sale?
Thanks for the comment!

AMazing Job! I have only Pine, Maple and Walnut which one I can replace with Iron Wood sound Reflectors?
Thanks for your comment!
The harder the reflector, the better, so maple would be a good choice.
For reference, I felt that lighter and softer wood for the main body would give better sound quality.
( This was surprising to me! )
@@7chome_seisakusyo thx, I do not drill press so I will make with rectangular channels to the time being, Great Job!
@ 5 minutes you fumbled quite a bit with the vacuum shroud interfering with changing the bit.
Please consider removing the screws and hold the shroud with rare earth magnets or with hook and loop tape.
Thank you!
Actually, I didn't have much trouble.
I need a drill bit with a longer shaft than that...
Holy shit dude. Have you hand made all your equipment?
Yes, it is mostly handmade. I enjoy doing that.
tem o projeto deste torno ? gostei dele muito interessante

By the time you finish this project, they’ve already come out with a new phone that won’t fit in your stand anymore
If the phone is that big, it's loud enough to be okay.
Splendid. And where can one buy them?
Thanks for watching!
Sorry, this is only available in Japan.
wow
Yeah!
how did you figure the 37 1/2 degree angle?
I just looked at the scale and roughly adjusted it.
It is not that accurate.
Congratulation
Thank you!!
Do you have one available for sale?
Thanks for the comment!
Unfortunately, it is sold only in Japan.

Agreed that it makes the sound louder, but the sound quality worse, very tinny sound.
That's unfortunate.
👍
Thank you!!
