Woodturning - Pine Live Edge Bowl

I picked up some pine logs from along side the road a few weeks ago. They are still so wet that it feels like it is raining while I turn them. I thought I would make a live edge bowl out of a piece of it, but when I got to the bottom of the bowl I found some issues with the grain. Good thing for superglue. Very pretty bowl! Just goes to show that you can always find wood to turn! I turn mostly Black Walnut because I have a lot of it but you may have inspired me to keep my eyes open for some pine to try

Hard to get a nice cut, but sands easy to get a nice finish. Good luck and thanks!

Very good job on that piece. I haven't had much luck turning pine, not very forgiving. Shows how you very good skills.
