@@ChildofYAH Why do you hide behind that cowardly diluted buzzword of "dangerous"? What a privileged anthropocentrist misanthrope move. Come on, just call our species "evil". I know you want to, I know you think so, and in ignorance judge us so. Deceit, resentment, cruelty, extinction, even wars and pollution. Those things aren't unique to us. Many species have caused extinctions. Squirrels deceive their peers. Crows hold resentment for years. Felines and many other predators display cruelty, partake in recreational sadism. Tribes of chimpanzees wage wars, often very brutally. Even the ancient microscopic algae combined together polluted the world beyond recognition, and thus caused the great oxidation event - something that to us, oxygen-breathing lifeforms sounds great - but which was a death sentence to majority of the life that existed back then. Sure, the sheer magnitude of the destruction that we wreak is often beyond what any other animal could be capable of, because we happen to be the apex species, Yet, Is there any other species on this planet that you know of that has even the potential capacity to within 50 to 100 years protect the PLANET ITSELF from cataclysmic cosmic debris like asteroids? Is there any other species on this planet that you know of that has A CHANCE to extend our biosphere's lineage and legacy beyond Earth, when the Earth will inevitably be engulfed by the Sun entering it's red giant phase? Do you know any other species that gather to decide to allocate x% of their community's resources to EXCLUSIVELY protect OTHER species from abuse BY THEIR OWN? Or any other species that *tries* to protect other species from extinction? no. You dont. We aren't perfect. We never will be. Neither is any other animal nor lifeform. The worst case scenario? We're like the algae, we might kill ourselves in the process of our own expansion, but at least we shall pave the way for something greater :V The best case scenario? We stick through the mud, solve all the mysteries of this universe and we level up to some different plane of existence xD Regardless, we can either get depressed about it and hate ourselves and GUARANTEE that this biosphere's story ends with us, entombed dead for four billions of years before being incinderated into oblivion by our parent star... or we can accept our imperfections, accept the randomness and fate, accept the inescapability of it, accept this cruel gamble of existence with dignity, and in contrarianism to existential hopelessness and nihilism, carry on against all odds. To for one more day laugh about some stupid shit together. ...and, to understand that: we will never catch infinity - but what we will see along the way will be worth the chase anyway.

Hi. Hi. HI! HI! HI!... *cough*
"good bird!"
He did indeed! They do, mostly, understand the meanings of the words they use (if the words are taught to them by correct use). Watching budgies use Alexa is endearing as hell.

I have a cold right now and am lying in bed with fever. Hearing the raven cough and say "hi" and interact with you, and listening to your beautiful laughter at his cute and funny responses and the whole interaction is strangely comforting.
Woman: "Can you say hello?"
Raven: "Hi!"
Woman: "No, hello"
Raven: "Hi!"
Woman: "No, i mean..."
Raven: "Jeez, i'm telling you hi! it's the same"
Yes the raven was there for an interview. It was unprofessional to say "hi" in response to "hello".

Ravens being able to mimicking human voices probably contributed to norse mythology where ravens fly around the world and tell all information to odin
They used them on ships to find land. They can't land on water and are easy to tame so they'd come straight back if they didn't see any land.
100% . They believed also Odin would transform into a Raven to travel around earth and leave signs into battle. So there ability to speak, probably gave the people the impression Ravens were actually Gods in a mortal vesel.
Ravens were also used to deliver mail in ancient india. They used to fly to different kingdoms to deliver mail, pigeons were also trained in that.

thats actually a good assesment...she does not need to correct its behavior because it was doing something even more engaging than just mimmiking. he understood the connection to "Hi" and "Hello"...it was not repeating her,it was Answering her greeting directly.
a normal parrot will reapeat a "how are you" but a well cared for a socially adept parrot will reply with "i am fine" the same applies to ravens
Imagine if he gets loose lands by you and says hi

Yep, stupid humans.....
I picked up on that too. I have 2 ravens who visit my yard trees at certain times of the year. Now I now when they go "brrr", their saying hello, what's up, how you doing.
LMAO underrated comment
I just imagine a raven flying above a neighborhood saying “HI!”
they would classify them as UFO!
You mean when they shit on you and when you look up they're like "hi!"
hahaha
Hahaha that'd be classy
lol lol lol
He clearly knows "hi" is an appropriate response to "hello" and the pretty human doesn't.
That is the most amazing thing in the video, the ability of the bird to know that both words mean the same. She isolates the word when the bird understood the meaning and react to it. Look how after that response checks in her hand for the treat
The bird cannot understand the meaning of word, it just copies the sound after human
@@jumaso6982 Do you really think the crow understands the meaning of any of the things it says? humans are awesome.
@@TxustoXGusto humans aren't awesome, we're dangerous.
Sure, the sheer magnitude of the destruction that we wreak is often beyond what any other animal could be capable of, because we happen to be the apex species,
Yet,
Is there any other species on this planet that you know of that has even the potential capacity to within 50 to 100 years protect the PLANET ITSELF from cataclysmic cosmic debris like asteroids?
We're like the algae, we might kill ourselves in the process of our own expansion, but at least we shall pave the way for something greater :V
The best case scenario? We stick through the mud, solve all the mysteries of this universe and we level up to some different plane of existence xD
Regardless, we can either get depressed about it and hate ourselves and GUARANTEE that this biosphere's story ends with us, entombed dead for four billions of years before being incinderated into oblivion by our parent star... or we can accept our imperfections, accept the randomness and fate, accept the inescapability of it, accept this cruel gamble of existence with dignity, and in contrarianism to existential hopelessness and nihilism, carry on against all odds. To for one more day laugh about some stupid shit together.
...and, to understand that:
we will never catch infinity - but what we will see along the way will be worth the chase anyway.
Quoth the raven, -Nevermore- "Hi!"...? No, that doesn't work, does it... and Poe knew it. 😂😉
