Thank you very much ladies. I am thrilled to have won and to knit the daily pullover sweater with the lining quill. Love to see you. So much inspiration.
I just bought the pattern for the shawl behind Caitlan. I just love it. Don't have yarn yet. Love you guys. Knitting give us so much to hold onto. Our love of fiber, color, creativity, and not the least of which is friendship that is unbreakable because of our mutual love of knitting. You and Caitlan are entwined because of knitting. Separate but a single unit united. I love that. Your love and respect for each other shines brightly. Love from Virginia.
Hi! It’s me again. Love everything you both shared in this podcast. Great incentive to finally get off traditional Aran sweaters and start playing with super floozy bubble fluff in bright colors. Thanks! 😊
There were moments in this video where the two of you sifted into a glorious bit of brainstorming and imagination about yarn and color and future projects and it was wonderful. I LOVE watching creative minds at work and those moments feel so organic and inspiring. I don't have a friend to sit and knit with in this way and your videos --- zoom or otherwise -- are the closest I come to it. Like you, I found myself both engaged in your conversation and simultaneously dreaming of color and pattern and new projects in a way that feels alive and present. Thank you for sharing yourselves in this way.
Great episode ladies, thank you. Your gift shawls are stunning and are what I call "prayer shawls" which I got into this past year. I'm a healer and I started knitting shawls for people and saying a prayer before I started knitting or a blessing. When I finished knitting it I would put my hands on it and ask for positive healing energy to flow into the shawl. Then I would gift it to someone who needed it to offer them support and comfort. Our energy definitely goes into the fibres so if we hold a loving thought in our minds about the person we are knitting for, they definitely feel it when they wear it. 🙏❤️
I love your practice of gifting shawls. I’ve done a few too and they carry love in the stitches. So much fun to knit thinking of the person they are intended for. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for another magical podcast. The opening poem moved me to tears. All the projects are so inspirational. But most inspirational of all? Your love and affection for each other.
I’m new to the podcast. I heard about you from Amy Palko and The Gentle Knitter’s podcasts. You’ve inspired me to be a late arrival to the Half and Half Triangles wrap. Your easy way with each other is inspiring. I’m also an educator and loved your reading and shoutout to Louise Rosenblatt! Covid has enrolled us all in a marathon. Thanks for the encouragement and support as knitting critically involves mind, body, and spirit in a positive space along this journey 💕
Lovely to see You Both HNY 🥳🥳 Jackie Thank You for showing the Nomad Hood. It’s perfect for those that don’t suit knitted Hats. Caitlin love the Wrap using Minis just Gorgeous… xx🌹🌹
Wowowow!!! I know you usually show you FO’s on each episode and know I’ve watched all of them so I’m assuming you two have been knitting way more than you’ve been showing! I gasped with each item at the end! They are all stunning!! You’ve made me so inspired to knit longer, faster and start more WIP’s 😆😆😆
Caitlin you look wonderful, love your hair and you look very thin, in a good healthy way. I can not say which of your knits is my favorite, I LOVE THEM ALL....... Jax really enjoyed seeing all the sweaters and the wrap that you knitted. You two ladies have been very busy. Jax, the color of your mom's sweater looks good on her, maybe adding a bright light scarf on the neck would make her like it better. Enjoy watching your videos, would really like to see how you knit and put the pieces together.
You will love your ball winder! I have a motorized one from Fiber Artist Supply Co, which is made in the US. Mine also has a foot pedal so I knit while winding all my yarn.
Oh what joy 🥰 I just adore you two so much. Just what I needed after such a rough Christmas 😢 the video at the end ….. wow that was so good. Loved seeing everything in action. So inspiring and I want to knit all those things 🤦♀️🤣 I’m now ready to knit again after 3 weeks of not knitting a stitch when I had knit daily for almost a year and a half. I’m so happy to have this desire rekindled again. I have no knitting friends and never been to a lys - none anywhere near me. Thank you both so much you have no idea the joy and inspiration you have bought to me this past 18months. Happy New Year to you both 😘
Just want you to know that I thoroughly enjoy your podcast. You got me through 2021 so well. Your sweater patterns and yarn choices really agree with my taste and I’ve also learned a lot about both. Your injection of poetry has into the podcast add a really thoughtful dynamic. The video at the end of this podcast is superb. I totally agree that knitting can save your mind and heart during these times. Well done. Let’s do another year together!!!
Happy New Year beautifuls 🌸🌸 thank you so much for every episode I feel I am knitting with friends. Let’s hope for better and brighter 2022 with lots of moments share with family and friends and lots of yarn and new projects 😘
Thank you for another enjoyable knitting chat! Also, thank you for staying on ZOOM 😘 Sally, if you make a Daily sweater change the neckline to suit what YOU LIKE BEST! That's why we knit our sweaters, to get the fit we are happiest with!
So MUCH inspiration today!! This was one of my favorite podcasts this year. Thanks for all the content and the work that goes into putting all this together. I will be doing my own 2021 knit review and reflect on what I “see” for 2022. Happy New Year, stay safe and be well.
Thank you for a wonderful podcasts even though you couldn’t be together.. it worked on zoom! Both of you knit such lovely things! I love the nomad hood .. yes for walking!! Will be perfect .. instead of hat I must say I am knitting with linen quill worsted in kettle black.. I am in love … it makes a wonderful fabric so nice to knit with.. I live in Texas so this may be my go to for worsted weight!! Give it a try by itself Jackie!! Happy NewYear you two!!
I’m sitting here in Calgary with my knitting wishing I had a knitting partner or knitting friend to share all the fun and happiness with! It is minus 24 degrees Celsius, plus windchill, so just a tad cold. We’ve been in a dangerous deep freeze for a week now. So your vlog has lifted my spirits. I wish we had a Purl Soho here, I would love to get my hands on some Linen Quill. I have admired that shop from afar for many years. But with shipping, duty and exchange, it would be too expensive. I love all your choices and colors and I hope you continue with these videos. Have a wonderful New Year!
@marie landry thank you for the detail, I am thinking of ordering 3 balls and see how it goes. I ordered spincycle from a shop in Kelowna to make the night shift shawl and it was absolutely worth as I knew it would be, just addictive that pattern.
Thank you for sharing yourselves with us. I always enjoy joining your visits. It’s perfectly okay that you’re “together” through zoom and not in person. Safety comes first. Caitlin, your red flower photo is still on my huge screen tv screensaver. I just love it. 💗 ~Colleen
Happy NY! 🎉Another lovely episode full of inspiration. I would encourage Sally to try a v-neck for her Daily Pullover. I find them very versatile in that I can layer with a t-shirt (crew, scoop, or v-neck) and both necklines sit well, giving great options to play with colour.
Thank you for the inspiring words about our process of knitting and life, beautiful. Love the poetry. Love the exquisite knits. Am going to look back and make a story for last year either in journal form or video. Can't say how much your videos help me connect, so grateful to you and to our making together. Onward into the new year...
You two are so lucky to have each other as knitting buddies! I can’t get any of my friends interested in knitting, so I have to find like minded people online. I’ve just discovered your podcast, so I will also go back in time to watch your past episodes. Thanks for your company while I work on a few projects and for inspiration for starting something new!
I look forward to your podcast. I don't always respond but have watched and enjoyed everyone. You always inspire. I'm also not a fan of zoom so am impressed that you've managed to keep going despite the challenge. It is always exciting to see what you create. You are fabulous knitters. Wishing you a safe and happy new year! 🎉 😊 🥰
Whether in person or zoom for me it’s all about the content. You are virtually together on zoom. It’s fine. I respect your decision to use that modality rather than depend on funding from your patrons to get you together. That’s nice too and fun but for me that’s not the most important part. Maybe I am unusual in that regard. The knitting, the advice, the recommendations, and exhibits of your knitting products and Pattern recommendations are what I personally enjoy. Of course I enjoy your family episodes as well.Podcasts even if in person that are bereft of content Are boring For the most part. You are both fabulous knitters and I’m sure you have great technique and experience to share. During these difficult times zoom is less expensive for everybody and you’re getting the gist of it by now. Thank you for everything! I would love to see some yarn reviews. Objective differences between all of the varieties of kidsilk mohair blends. Is there a difference is there a difference in price does the price make a difference? All of those things so many yards are blends. It would be nice to get some comparisons from real live knitters. It seems that most podcaster‘s are afraid to And rarely give constructive info about Yarns.
Thanks for articulating this. I’m content driven too. Yet, I adore the process most of all - the inspiration, the connections. My paternal grandmother was such an accomplished sewist, yet I remember her being so self critical. I have that demon too. I think I always need to balance my interest in the craft, the details, and the mechanics with my joy in the making - the friendships, colors, silhouette play. However, you’re right: and I’ll be sure to share my thoughts too on the actual yarn. A learn as I go education. Melissa and Lisa were always so good at sharing those yarns insights. 🥰 J
Oh my-YAK AND CASHMERE!!! divine! . I love needle felting and the amazing things you can create- sadly my arthritic hands don’t love it, so I can’t do it often. I love the muff idea! I had a little velvet muff when I was a little girl! It had a velvet cord that went around my neck so I wouldn’t lose the muff and my wool coat had a matching velvet collar and cuffs- I LOVED it! I love your banter and your wonderful knits. Someday, when I win the lottery, I may get to knit some of them.
What a beautiful childhood memory! Thank you for sharing Jennifer. Wishing you hands free of pain and full of things you love. Blessings and love. J & C
Love the linen quill worsted FO. The Norah Gaughan pattern on the pull soho site is a fun knit as well, the sleeves are fab! Wherefore Art Thou Pullover.
I love seeing a new podcast. Fun to watch you. I wish you weren’t so upset about not being together. That’s a way of life now for everyone. You’ve been more fortunate than some. It’ll get better. 😊
Watching this on New Year’s Day. What a great way to start 2022. The two of you are amazing! Thank you for sharing your friendship with us….and your knitting. I loved your videos showing your 2021 makes. I don’t have the words to describe how beautiful they are! Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
You will LOVE Bainbridge Island...my son and his family live there, and my husband and I bought a condo there recently because we are there so often from California...I wish I could go visit with you and show you around!!! The Lamb and Kid is a beautiful store and the staff are so wonderful!
So good to see both of you. Jackie, I remember when you were wearing the yarn around your neck at Wool and Honey and was just wondering the other day if you had made anything with it. A muff would be fun. Caitlin, I’m going to have to check out your notes on your hood/cowl. Loved the fashion show at the end.
Lots of lovely pattern ideas once again. That Nomad Hood has me sold! I saw it when you posted on instagram, and was not sold, but when you talked about it covering your neck, YOU HAD ME......I just bought it and will cast on today!!!!
Jackie, you're growing out your hair. Cute. Love your cable sweater. I'd love to make an all over cabled sweater, but for my climate. . .doesn't work too well. Lovely to see you two ladies. Happy New Year.
This was such a great episode! Jackie's cabled sweater is stunning. I, too, became enamored with all things from "The Lamb and Kid" at Wool and Folk and just finished the "Cozy Cuffs" and a "The Big Fluff" will be on my needles soon. The Shetland sweater is also in my queue and I've always wanted to do a sweater in the colorway Winterfell so very excited to see how Jackie's turns out. Caitlin's Vertices Unite is epically gorgeous! Did you say which friends the shawls eventually went to? Happy New Year!
Caitlin and Jackie! I really love the simplicity of your format. And out that you both bring such valuable content and beauty on so many levels. Last night I decided to become a “matron.” I had previously written and asked you about the nine categories for deciding what to knit. Jackie you responded and said my question was addressed in a zoom recording. So I have access to that now? Where can an find it? Happy New Year and health and joy follow you both.
@@Cadyjaxknits Thank you so much. I really want to knit much more intentionally and create an opus of color and harmony. This chart gives me some ideas. Thanks again for really keeping in touch with your peeps.
Hello I love your podcast ,so much inspiration, could you tell me the name of the designer of this butterflies please. I get Nathalie but couldn't quite understand last name, thank you
So fun to see both you model your knits for the year. Caitlin, In the beginning you are wearing either a jumpsuit or zip up camo green top. Who makes it? I have. I am a similar build to you and looking for something like it forever. Thanks ladies for all you do!
Jackie, are you familiar with the poem "Ithaka" by Constantine Cavafy? It has become my favorite since discovering it several years ago in a book of poetry compiled by Caroline Kennedy. She mentioned that "Ithaka" was her mother Jackie's favorite poem.
Oh yes, I bought both those anthologies for my classroom and I know the poem / poet. Love the way poetry can be a gateway to such exquisite, bold, and beautiful mystery and subtle wonder. And I love sharing poetry in the classroom. ❤️
I am trying to start the nomad hood so confused my local yarn shop has no idea how to start this. I really want to make this however I’m stuck is this knit back and forth on magic loop or in the round.any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for another great episode. Lovely to see all the amazing knits you made this year. I love Sally’s “nude” sweater: instead of overdying it why don’t you embroider some flowers around the upper torso a la Wild Posy sweater by bmandarines? In off white to highlight the beautiful colour of your hair maybe…
I need your expert advice. I’m finishing my first half+half triangle wrap and have yarn for a second one. Please tell me how or if you block yours. Shakil do they be wet blocked or what? (Aside: I do t like to block!) thanks so much!! Love your episodes!! Happy New Year!! Angela

Barbara I am in calgary also lets get in touch.
I’m in Mississauga, also wishing to get my hands on some linen quill. I’d really like to knit with it. Maybe a purchase next year!
@marie landry thank you for the detail, I am thinking of ordering 3 balls and see how it goes. I ordered spincycle from a shop in Kelowna to make the night shift shawl and it was absolutely worth as I knew it would be, just addictive that pattern.

Last night I decided to become a “matron.” I had previously written and asked you about the nine categories for deciding what to knit. Jackie you responded and said my question was addressed in a zoom recording. So I have access to that now? Where can an find it? Happy New Year and health and joy follow you both.
We did have a Zoom meet up last year for our patrons where we discussed our plans for the year. We did not record and post it.
@@Cadyjaxknits okay. Thanks.
@@teridesario2328 we do have this: docs.google.com/document/d/1sh6d8r-Tqi_Givf-V3WK2gm_4PtChEiAdq0BgaEjUVY/edit
@@Cadyjaxknits Thank you so much. I really want to knit much more intentionally and create an opus of color and harmony. This chart gives me some ideas. Thanks again for really keeping in touch with your peeps.
@@teridesario2328 Our next episode we’ll revisit and share our thoughts and plans for the knits ahead. ❤️

So fun to see both you model your knits for the year. Caitlin, In the beginning you are wearing either a jumpsuit or zip up camo green top. Who makes it? I have. I am a similar build to you and looking for something like it forever. Thanks ladies for all you do!
It’s a jumpsuit from @wildfang. It’s my favorite. Love, love, love it.
Have you watched the video I linked in show notes?
@@Cadyjaxknits yes I just saw it was so helpful thank you so much I’m determined to make this lol
I think you mean thrummed mittens. Super warm and really cute!
Yes! That’s it.
❤️
Jackie- where did you purchase your beautiful blouse?
J. Crew ❤️
@@Cadyjaxknits recently? I’ll take a look
