u nailed it. exactly wat I was doin first time I heard this last nite on a NY college radio station I listen to n about once a week I fall in love with something odd or under the radar they play. driving over the bridge to the beach at nite while this was playing. very melodic. catchy. Spent the today on n off tryin to locate the name of this song n band. In one day this song opened the door for me to start looking into great pop songs. not dated pop or weak pop or stuff that couldn't stand the test of time. even one offs is fine but just the typical n now lost art of the verse chorus verse catchy hook, melodic 3-4 minute clean, crisp power pop song. if u don't mind me suggesting since I took ur Weezer comment n started to go thru there catalog a little. a very underrated band who I can't say I'm a huge fan of or even a fan but I am open minded to anything as long as it's good n catchy. that's hard these days. I looked at everything from The Raspberries greatest hits since I read that album heavily inspired Springsteen and the E Street Band's lighter n more pop sounding material on my favorite album The River. Also about 10 songs from Cheap Trick pre The Flame days very surprising the amount of classic 3-4 minute power pop classics they cultivated hence inspiring a ton of current day bands. I jumped into some The Police, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Killers and then went back to the college radio stuff. Foo Fighters(some). Somehow i ended up with The Smiths although I already liked them I let the phone recommendations lead my way n yes they were recommended. But not for nothing alot of Morrissey upbeat , great chords, pop stuff is very catchy not the Pope of mope all the time. anyway sorry to butt into ur comment I just figure I would throw some driving to good music ideas to u since I could always use them n I look for them myself. idk where u r in the country but if ur anywhere near or in NYC or Long Island the station is WFUV 90.7 n on Friday nites like 9-11 PM or thereabouts there is a DJ named Russ Boris or something or other but he has the best stuff all week old n very new n under the radar. Most of my weekend stuff comes from his suggestions n really it doesn't matter if ur thing is Rap, hip-hop, pure Rock n Roll or power pop or RnB etc.. if good live instrumentation n good quality sounding live band performances is ur thing even the rap he might play from time to time is backed by The Roots or a band call Vintage Soul I believe mixes urban with live instruments very good stuff. Vintage Soul was on Letterman n if u see that performance u will not b disappointed. Anyway sorry so long didn't mean to intrude or bore u hope u take up n enjoy some of my long ass recommendations lol. bgood.
Great song. The best song being continually played by KFOG here in S.F. The haunting guitar sounds like Deep Blue Something Breakfast at Tiffany's song.
omg i am so in love with this song....omg it took me 2 months to find it again.....omg when i hear it on Sonic Live Radio i go go fuckong nuts.....much love
strong live band very much love this song just imho no need for 3 guitars really doesn't sound like 3 even if two r on rhythm section n one of those is on low distortion could have been done with two guitars but I love this song
this is unrelated but ive been looking for a band that performed on this show. The singer wore a cowboy hat and plays a guitar and had like mad feet moves. what the hell am i saying
Jimmy kills it with the airline stewardess over the top happiness. he loses some of his genuine appeal by being like this with EVERY single band lol. either way if ur in NYC or especially Strong Island NY I gotta say the last great, true radio station to me is WFUV Fordham University radio station. in one weekend I heard them do a three song live gem of Jay-Z in a 200 person niteclub in Amsterdam backed by The Roots, then Springsteen and the E Street Band in 2009 doing the whole The River album in Madison Square Garden incredible show incredible album pre political Springsteen album just solid power pop, pure Rock n Roll album n a strong performance very much the E Street Band's most NYC vibe/feel album and then rapped up the week with a strong set from The Smiths n Morrissey solo both live. Say wat u will about Moz yes his setlist is somewhat weak n repetitive but the band is tite n his live show is very strong n frenzied. his early days the band was better but his current band is very underrated. on that station is where I hear most of the best new n LIVE music around nowadays. Bleach, Band of Horses, soul, pop, old Cheap Trick, some artists I can't remember just now the Pixies, Tacocat, God dammit alot of artists that I can't think of rite now but Kurt Vile, Kurt Baker Combo, Elle King, a guy that sounds like old Michael Jackson who is very popular underground for current disco, pop even jazz or blues n is part of a duo. I can't freaking remember his name now but he is very talented had a The Wkend, Pharrel feel I just can't think of it now wen it counts. I believe it's Curtis something not Mayweather but he did an incredible set prior to a Beacon Theater show in winter of 2016 if anybody knows plse tell me BC this is killing me but if u heard him u would know n love him. the last name sound s fake or like a stage name but his father also jammed. I believe he was in Blues back in the day n played horns or trumpet OH!!! Hawthorne yes!!! something Hawthorne I believe it's Curtis. phew lol anyway always lookin to put ppl who suffer from crappy Top 40 repetitive lack of live instruments music lovers down with whoever so I'm glad I thought of it. one artists leads to another for example I had no idea Kurt Vile was influenced by young Springsteen albums #3,4 n 5 specifically n it shows. Band of Horses usually does more of the balled thing but this is a catchy very melodic pop song n I like this style from them very much.
Touch a nerve did I snowflake? Go find your safe space to snuggle with your security blanket and suck your thumb away from the bad man who made a joke that offended you.
lmao yes!!! he acts like this with EVERY band/performer somewhat of the too happy airline stewardess he's too over the top n it's disingenuous it comes off transparent n fake. he gushes too much n I thought it was just with childhood heroes like Springsteen or Morrissey or The Stones during his Exile on Main Street tribute but it's everybody n anybody. once my 14 yr old understood him, loved him n never missed a nite I said "Aha now I know why" lol. I realized then it was time for me to go. by all accounts he is a very nice guy but I feel like back in HS days he would b the kid tryin to hard to make friends with ALL groups n that just isn't possible well, at least not wen u come off so, so happy that it seems fake. very annoying indeed.
One of the best bands on the planet today!
I love these horses, good band.
They are so much fun in concert. Great band.
I love band of horses! Gonna see em October 26!!
Raw power! Love it! A reminder of the essence of driven rock - cut right to the chase - Jimmy knew it!
Band Of Horses Rock,....can't wait to see them live at the Aztec 3 Theater here in San Antonio, Texas
first time i watch them perform and i fell in love. love them!
I love this song.
There is no substitute for a driving, catchy rock song like this! These don't come along often. Up there with Weezer

Great song. The best song being continually played by KFOG here in S.F. The haunting guitar sounds like Deep Blue Something Breakfast at Tiffany's song.

We win.
Not sure if the mix was poor or what, but this seems lacking.
Paul Babiak hmmmmm...more cowbell
Agree. Sounds a little ”thin”. Awesome song.
Paul Babiak TURN IT UP
Can’t sing worth a shit but I like them and the song is wicked.
I got tickets 2012
this is unrelated but ive been looking for a band that performed on this show. The singer wore a cowboy hat and plays a guitar and had like mad feet moves. what the hell am i saying
Nechro Muse artist is Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. Check out the song "son of a bitch"
I would love to hear a cover of this song by The Shins...
hell yeah!! first time I heard this song, I actually thought it was The Shins, esp. Mercer's voice. They should do a collab sometime.
Ben reminds me of Isaac Brock....
That guy put brakes on my 🚗
I love blue rodeo. From usa

Struggling with the vocals
This band has gone far... down hill
Mike Kowalchuk listen to the new album. This song is one of my least favourite, they are back in my mind!
wow...i'm 54 yours young and am liking this band/song collectively. The blonde guitarist shouldn't sing...
canta muito, mas poderia arrumar os dentes.
Sorry, but only "Dull times/ The moon" from new material is worthy of attention :/
Looks like he needs a little casual dentistry.
Touch a nerve did I snowflake? Go find your safe space to snuggle with your security blanket and suck your thumb away from the bad man who made a joke that offended you.
why is Fallon so annoying?
lmao yes!!! he acts like this with EVERY band/performer somewhat of the too happy airline stewardess he's too over the top n it's disingenuous it comes off transparent n fake. he gushes too much n I thought it was just with childhood heroes like Springsteen or Morrissey or The Stones during his Exile on Main Street tribute but it's everybody n anybody. once my 14 yr old understood him, loved him n never missed a nite I said "Aha now I know why" lol.
