Perhaps my absolute favorite film of all time...the music, acting, cinematography, fashion, and every visual, cinematic element are each unparalleled and sublime. I feel the greatest achievements of the film is how (1) it oozes sexuality without being overtly sexual (2) flushes out every subtlety to its furthest limitation and (3) shows how ultimately love is fleeting yet lingering. Like moods, or feelings, love can be can never be attained again once the opportunity passes yet its potency and memory stay with you forever

Not for once did I feel bored during the movie. It captivates you in all its totality; you can't help but stare. A classic by Wong. A beautiful poetry of love, passion and helplessness.

The framing and composition and camerawork of this movie is absolutely mesmerizing. I have yet to see another film make it feel like even the props and sets had emotion the way this one does

No film of the 21st century so far has even come close to matching In the Mood for Love (or Mulholland Drive, awesome that both were ranked on the last Sight and Sound Top 50 Greatest Films of All Time poll). The Criterion Blu-ray is stunning and is easily one of my favorite releases from the label.

Everything in the film ranging from the cinematography (involving moving still frames), the soul stirring music score and the lead actors is FANTASTIC! Took me some time in the beginning to get into the mood of the film but after 15 minutes I was hooked! The idea of showing only the leads in majority of the film and depicting so much without giving out too much detail all at the same time along with capturing still-frames was ingenius! That was the USP for me! The ending was so painful yet so Beautiful! ❤

.....Happiness. Number two: happiness. Number three: happiness. Since i am a man i can only understand and speak from his point of view. Something very similar to the plot of the movie happen to me, from the time that it lasted i was extremely happy. And i think that the male character showed his happiness while he spend time with her. The happy times spend in eachother's company was unforgettable 😄
