I feel lukewarm about this song's ability to do well due to the build up hype surrounding Olly Alexander. Don't get me wrong, it's a good standard radio friendly pop song. But in its current form, it's not exactly that competitive for esc because there isn't as much progression to capture and keep one's attention as some other contenders do more effectively in their song construction. I hope they consider a mini revamp to add a little extra spice to it, because I don't see this higher than mid table and tbh after 1/3 of the songs gets eliminated in the semis, this very well might be near the bottom of the table due to how strong the remaining contenders are. Even last year when they had a catchy song, they ended up placing last (maybe due to the performance and running order but still not a good sign) and the UK will be fighting an uphill battle due it being the UK. Plus it has too many stronger direct competitors. Anyways appreciate the honest reaction. When you are unsure about a song and feel like you need to listen to it even more times to get onboard, then that isn't a good sign compared to other songs that make you want to listen to it again immediately or immediately leave you with a strong impression. And while everyone has different tastes and there will be people that love this song, I think in general this is in danger of being lost in the mix especially for casual viewers that just tune in the night of, if they don't make anything changes in the proceeding months.

The UK won’t win, but this has potential to reach left side of the score board, although top 10 is not likely in such a strong year. It’s ok, but it doesn’t have the lift it needs. I do love Olly, though.
