Don't get me wrong, he CAN ACT THESPIAN level when he wants to, but he doesn't take himself seriously enough to do it every time and can ham atrociously too! But people just overlook his bad hair acting days and love him anyway!
Juhi Chawla is a real charmer too...she was his first heroine (the first actress to agree to work with him in a movie although their movie together wasn't his first release) and their pair was cast in several 90's romantic comedies. She went on to be his business partner in several ventures. But they were never linked romantically, they're just great friends like Kate and Leo.

@@pool_dead3961 That is because he is selective with his movies. When you work with quality production houses, you automatically get quality music, cinematography and choreography. Having said that, he does have what these guys describe as 'cheesy' songs. Even the greatest actors in the country, Amitabh Bachan, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Naseeruddin Shah etc. all have their share of these 'cheesy' songs in the 80s and 90s!

@@pool_dead3961 Saying that he was selective with his movies was actually a compliment. He knew how to select quality movies. But he wasn't always the first choice by big production houses and directors. For instance Baazigar was rejected by Aamir Khan, Sunny deol and some other actors before it was offered to SRK. First choice for DDLJ was Saif Ali khan. So u can't say he was always the first choice. When I say quality production, you can clearly see the difference in quality in the cinematography, lighting, camera work, choreography etc. with that of a say Akshay or Govinda movie from that era. Not belittling SRK's contribution, but these factors had a big say in these movies becoming huge successes. Same goes with Aamir and Salman had quite a few too.
