Google routing options can break or make neighborhoods .. I live in a cris-cross neighbourhood and for some reason 1 specific path along that square shape grid is shorted than other (maybe 5meter short) and that causes google to route people through that street (all the grid is residential) . Which means the entire grid streets are relatively empty and that 1-2 street are always traffic , caused the house prices to fall on that street

Google Maps lets you adjust the route. All you have to do is click on (or hold) the featured route (dotted line) and drag it to the street you want to use. The map automatically adjusts the route to follow that street. It will show you a regular street map, a satellite/street view with pictures of the area and several other views, such as transit routes. You can select pedestrian, car, transit, bike as the means of transportation. It's easy. I do it all the time.

@@wysiwyg1 Google Maps has a feature called Street View which shows you photos of the area you want to walk, drive, bike, etc. through. At the bottom of the map there's an icon that shows an image labeled satellite. Satellite shows you a satellite image of the map with very detailed photos of the area. Next to it are other map details you can click on for extra views such as biking or transit. If you click on the "more" tab it brings you to something called Street View. (You can also find Street view on the lower right side of the map. There's a Show Your Location icon, with a + and - sign as well as a human figure. Click on the human figure to bring up the Street View feature.) Using Satellite or Street View, click on the map and it will show you a photo of the block you want to see. When you select the directions feature the map after inserting an address it displays a blue dotted line and several solid lines that offer different route options. If you're curious, you can move the dotted line anywhere you want and the map will automatically adjust. Use your finger or the mouse to drag the dotted line. The Street View feature will show you a photo of the street or park or whatever you selected along with directional arrows and street names onscreen. There are other features in this bottom Map Details menu that show air quality or wildfires. The Map Tools Menu shows travel time and has a distance scale if you want to know how far it is from point A to point B. You can choose the map type, either Satellite or Default. The left side of the screen has the Search Google Maps bar. Select the Directions symbol and it gives you options for Driving, Transit, Walking, Biking or Flight location (airport) information. At the very top of the screen there are tabs that will show you, for example, restaurants or transit maps along the route you selected. Google Maps has so many features! You have to play with the menus to get a feel for what it offers. I use my home address as the "from" and a local grocery store as the "to" in the Search bar as a learning tool. You can play with the dotted line, or the different options throughout the map to familiarize yourself with everything it can do. Google Maps is amazing! It just takes time to figure it out.

Good show. Did I miss the Open AI valuation mentioned in the intro?

Regarding the maps conversation, I see both sides and would like to support businesses in low income areas, but wouldn't that (not always) be the more dangerous areas to walk?

Red flag, walk away: When I ask someone, how much will this cost? and they give an evasive answer, "ABOUT" what everyone else is charging, I'm not interested. If you don't know what your product is going to cost me why would I want it?

Citizen was a fun app to use. It was scary though, there was a man in L.A one mile away from where I was that was walking around trying to get people with a machete
