Have to admit Joey.i was wondering when you were going on your 🦀 trip with your family 👍.hope all is well.hopefully next year❤ that's always a great video. This was pretty good to.nice job.ill be down tomorrow for 2 days.then back down in September for monster truck weekend.til next time👍🙏❤😎byeee
That is an angry baby crab! LOL....I am glad you were able to try out kayak crabbing. I also started off with traps, and hand lines. Then I moved up to running a 600 foot to 1200 foot crab trot line from my kayak. Keep it up. It s fun.
I enjoyed today's video. This is something I would definitely do. When I was younger, I would kayak and jet rig fish on the Susquehanna River for smallmouth bass with friends. Our kayak anchors were 2-3 lb. dumbbells... They are the perfect weight. We would tie them off the front of the kayak to prevent the yak from being swamped by the river current. I would assume it would be okay to have a front and back dumbbell in tidal current... It would also keep you from "swinging" back and forth in the breeze.
Definitely need to plan your trip to arrive at High Tide. Would also be much easier if you invest in 5-6 Topless Traps. They not only work better but stack on top of each other and take up minimal space on the kayak. You need to make sure they have a buoy attached and spread 5-10 yards apart to retrieve them. Good luch
Instead of an anchor for the kayak, why not tie a float to the end of your trap line and a float on the end of your hand line? If you don’t want to spend money for poly floats, just get a pool noodle and cut it in 1’ lengths. This way, you can do as many traps/hand lines as you want and spread them around.
Thanks for the vid. I'm going to try kayak crabbing next time I'm in town!
That was cool to see!! Thanks!!
Thats pretty cool! Crabs are great

Been awhile since I have gone. Wouldn't mind doing it again.
I wait to see the crabbing video every year! Can’t wait for next years video!
That was cool. Crazy to see how much earlier your sunset is back east vs Midwest. Way earlier.
I would love to try kayaking and crabbing
How's the weather going to be this week ??
Great video Joey.
I'm glad to see you have a basket with holes and not a bucket where the crabs eventually die due to lack of oxygen
Joey, call all the crabs - Buster. The original buck rogers will give you a clue.
