  • Sach Pass is a 4,414-meter-high (14,482 ft) mountain pass located in Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh, India. It lies on the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas. Here are some key details about Sach Pass:
    - Location: It is 127 km (79 mi) from the District Headquarters and connects the Chamba valley with the Pangi valleys of Himachal Pradesh.
    - Season: The pass is open from June or early July to mid-October.
    - Road Conditions: The road is narrow and unmetalled, making it quite challenging.
    - Gateway to Pangi Valley: Sach Pass serves as the gateway to the Pangi Valley.
    - Route: It is the shortest and toughest route from Chamba to Killar (170 km) and was newly constructed.
    - Indian Army Route: With the completion of this road, the distance from Pathankot to Leh via Sach Pass has been reduced to 670 km, compared to 800 km via Manali.
    - Access Routes: Sach Pass can be reached from three directions:
    - Pathankot-Dalhousie road
    - Manali-Udaipur road
    - Udhampur/Anantnag-Kishtwar-Paddar-Pangi road (the first route is the shortest and most popular).
