Calvin at the end - "Is there anything after the credits? It looks pretty long." Eric, looking at the list they have - "This is what, episode 20? ... Nah there's nothing there." **MISSION FAILED**
there's a moment here that's a very realistic outlook on what would actually happen in the scenario where random people just developed superpowers one day. all might mentions that society stagnated for a while, criminals took over and midoriya mentions that commercial spaceflight would be common by this point if quirks never developed. essentially, for a fairly long time, the world just stopped growing because suddenly everyone and anyone could be a lethal weapon, a perfect thief or a demigod, and the amount of chaos that ensued from that halted all technological growth for decades. this story is probably only a few historical events away from a post-apocalypse.
its actually not very realistic, society wouldn't stagnant because A not everyone would gain a useful Quirk B those who did gain one wouldn't simply lose interest in scientific development if anything it would increase scientific development because those who had useless quirks would want a way to deal with those who had proper useful powers. so after a few decades science would have technology that equals that of your average super human quirk.
houseofaction a few decades? no, not even close. it takes a few decades for technology to advance, period. it would take generations for technology to equal superhuman abilities. and we don't need a ton of people to develop powerful quirks, we only need one or two people with powerful quirks and no morals to completely upend society. if an all for one appeared in real life, he could take over an entire region by himself and do whatever he wanted with it. and considering all the human rights issues that would be happening and increased need for riot cops and military patrols to prevent superhuman riots, there would be very little funding for science in the public sectors, which means many scientists would turn to black market funding for research, and hey, there just so happens to be a criminal overlord who needs their army outfitted with gadgets... this isn't a situation like a war. a war kickstarts development due to need, this is total social upheaval.
houseofaction that imbalance that you mentioned would be the very reason it stagnated, if people are defined by their power and no laws or rules hold these quirks back, then it would turn into the dark ages where those with powerful quirks would go into a power struggle now that they are hundreds of times better than a regular human. It would make even more sense is someone who could hoard all these powers would manage to rule over an entire country and stagnate technology
Deku’s impression of All Might was brilliant! “EAT THIS!” had me laughing. Justin Briner’s impression was spot on! Great to have Iida back and the scene with All Might going into depth about One for All and All for One was great. There will be more after credit scenes in the future :D
You all seem to forget that deku CAN use all of One For All. He has the ability to use it to the full extent as all might, it just busts him up real good. He isnt waiting to gain any power, he is waiting to master all the overwhelming power he already has.
I wouldn't say that. Maybe it's the fact that his body hasn't matured yet. But 100 percent of dekus power ATM is still not comparable to all might in his supposed prime.
Yea I believe you're correct. Even in a future moment where Deku thinks he uses the power of All Might, I don't believe his power is at All Might's level. One for All is still strengthening more than just Deku trying to control its current max power.
No, it’s pretty clear he’s just as strong as all might, maybe you guys want to follow BW to keep with them, so I won’t spoil any events, but it says so in season 3. It’s also possible I’m missing something or that certain characters are wrong.
Cody Peterson I've read the manga and seen season 3. Where did it say that? If deku current 100 is equal to prime all might that means prime all might wasn't strong enough to one shot Muscular in season 3
Tex Corps yeah, deku says so in that fight. Its also possible that All Might CANT one shot muscular, seeing as he cushioned Dekus 100% punch using his quirk
I hear part of the lore of the show is centuries ago when humans first started gaining powers, it was thrown into chaos like an apocalyptic like world, and it's only recently they found ways to deal with the super powers and rebuilt civilization, so it's only natural that some historical event's are lost to history or kept hidden.
Zionn VII if my math is correct, this story takes place in about 2170 or so, assuming that the glowing baby happened in the modern day. so, basically, from 2020 to 2050-ish, everything was fucked, and it's after that where people started clawing their way back, but it didn't really stabilize until all might showed up.
daniel cason midoriya mentions that if quirks hadn't developed, commercial spaceflight would be common by now. so, what that says to me is that it has to be taking place in the mid 21st century or later, because we're only just edging on commerical spaceflight now and current predictions put that happening at 2050 or possibly earlier. so the glowing baby had to happen before then, and since there's modern equipment in the hospital in the flashback to the glowing baby, i assume that happened around 2015-2020.
The fact that you guys still aren't managing to remember Shigaraki's name makes me think there's gonna be a big moment in season 3 where you're just gonna go "Huh?" lol
He specifically referenced Shigaraki's name and a big moment in season 3. It doesn't take a genius to figure out/guess what that could be implying. What is the point of posting that at all? There is absolutely no good reason for anyone to be posting spoilers like that in this comments section, plain and simple. The fact that your first reaction is to tell me to shut up rather than the person posting spoilers is something in itself.
It's BECAUSE I know they don't read the comment section that I knew it would be fine to make that comment, and even so, I went out of my way to make it as vague as possible since I know some people watch the show in-pace with Blind Wave, so they wouldn't have seen Season 3 yet. In fact, for someone with no knowledge of the context of what I'm talking about, my comment would probably be totally meaningless, and they wouldn't even think twice of it unless somebody else felt the need to come along and very pointedly emphasize UM THIS IS ACTUALLY A SPOILER. As for how I could possibly have the AUDACITY posting my comment here, I figured maybe other people watching the reaction might be thinking the same thing, because maybe just maybe we're all watching the same group of people reacting to the same show, or something, so their reaction is more so the topic of the video. Just a thought, I guess.
That doesn't make any sense.. you commented multiple times in the comment section, and all of your posts are specifically aimed at the reactors, not other viewers.
I mean, I only word comments as "you" because talking about the gang as "they" seems ruder somehow. I'm not actively expecting to strike up a conversation with them lmao.
About the "they should at least have heard about it" about the war thing, Deku says he heard but thought it was all just rumors because there was no details on history books and stuff, but he did hear about.
xxwilxx1975 the history of this world could be an entire story in and of itself, and it's possible horikoshi might do a story like that later, since he's expressed interest in doing other series in this world, though currently he seems focused on this time and this place, so any other series would still be in deku's lifetime, including the vigilante's spin-off.
I fully expect we'll get one at some point. This show is predicted to reach somewhere around 250 episodes based on what the author's said, and in almost every shounen that long there's a flashback mini-arc showing how everything started.
Im a manga reader and idk if this is a spoiler or not but we do see some of the OFA users. Some are flashbacks and some are Midoriya having a nightmare or hallucinating.
@@jrw2319 I dont think its that big, but yeah this is a spoiler. But BlindWave rarely read comments, even less often on old videos, and its mostly their editor who reads them and then passes on info if its needed and not a spoiler
Didn't get an episode today or a chapter yesterday, but at least Blind Wave will always be here to give me a portion of My Hero Academia happiness every week. You guys are seriously the best.
Portgas D Ace lmao I can’t even remember half of the classes names. They are all so boring and most likely the comedic relief. Momo is definitely best girl
Don't worry about the League of Villains, they're just gathering their pieces right now in the wake of Stain - Shigaraki needs to rethink his strategy and priorities.
I realy love how Younger Brother quirk still fits the laws of quirk herritage in a way....AFO could take and give, while Younger Brother only give part....I wonder what their parents quirks were, probably somewhere alongside with stealing and giving something? And it evolved into taking/giving quirks in the brothers
Yes, One for All can be passed to someone who already has a quirk - All Might said as much when describing how he could have chosen to give it to somebody like Todoroki instead, and it would have super-charged the quirk they already have while also giving them super strength. All Might and Deku are actually exceptions in that they were quirkless prior to getting the power, most of the previous holders had quirks of their own. However, the individual user's quirks aren't passed down with One for All, only their physical strength. The only time that kind of happened was when the stockpiling fused with the younger brother's quirk-passing ability, but that was a specific circumstance in which All for One forced the stockpiling quirk onto his brother with his own quirk, thus causing the fusion.
psc92 Ah yes I didn't read op correctly. One for all just gives the sum of the power (power as physical power) of the users, it doesn't enhance your actual quirk.
I really doubt it's "physical" power , I believe it's more of Energy both potential/kinetic. Because no amount of physical power is going to change the weather, so it clearly must be stored up energy.
the younger brother had The ability to pass on quirks but he didnt Have any other quirk to pass on so that was useless. All For one Gave him stockpile which combined with The "pass on" quirk into One For All. The 2 mutated together into one thing. So One For All Doesnt pass on quirks it only passes on Stockpile. Its kinda like a RPG thing. Saving up your character stat points & transfering them to another character
It’s just the stockpile quirk that passes on. Even if you acquired One for All when originally you already had a quirk you still just pass on the stockpiling quirk not the quirk you already had.
Mychael Dark well not really, holders only passed on OFA, but the quirk factors mixed into it, and once the point of singularity was reached, deku was able to call upon their powers
I loved their reaction to Mineta getting the earphone jack to the eye! Even though it is a completely understandable response, it was absolutely PRICELESS!!!
Watching now, you guys guessed the true power of One for All where Deku now has multiple quirks. Pretty cool considering not many people thought that until it was revealed
There is a very prominent distinction between quirk and power and sometimes the dub doesn't make it as obvious. One for all stockpiles "power", not "quirks". Power as in raw physical strength. All for one takes quirks that give him many abilities. *Edit: that's what i think anyway, maybe I don't know shit
Im pretty iffy if that's true, but it makes sense. Remember when Eraser head tried to erase Noumus power? Ineffective af. Noumu still had super strength so i kinda agree with you.
Allen Antony Actually, he just said Todoroki would become pretty much unstoppable, which makes sense. The physical power of one for all plus the fire and ice quirk would be a deadly combination. It's more clear in Japanese, but there's a difference between the word used for power (as in the physical type one for all stockpiles) and the word used for quirks.
Allen Antony no he said it would increase the effectiveness of his quirk and he would be a god, not that his quirk gets added into One For All, otherwise we would see all might using other quirks from past users
Its not just the Japanese-Americans that were put into camps here in the US. German-Americans and Italian-Americans were put into camps in World War 2 as well. There were camps for German-Americans in the first War too. I never learned any of that in school. Watched the first episode of Foyle's War and got the shock of my life. Then had to ask my Mom if any of my German-American ancestors ended up in the camps.
I love how Shane is rideordie for Eric, immediately covering up for his buddy. Plus, awe for Aaron, but man, I love that joke is still going. I cracked up.
One for All can be given to someone who already has a quirk, All Might mentioned some time ago that he became a teacher at the UA to look for a successor and he also talked about how if he gave One for All to Todoroki he'd be a superhero(fire/ice + one for all)
It’s pretty cool that the colour of their beam in the one for all scene is the colour of their lightning when they use one for all. (All might’s lightning only appears in his battle with all for one)
Yay! I got my question, about how One for All is passed down, answered! That's actually pretty interesting. It can't be forcibly taken but can be forcibly given. But we still don't have any details about what exactly happened to the 7th holder of One for All, why did they choose All Might? Things like that.
One thing I love about MHA is that even when not a whole lot actually happens in the episode, it *feels* like a lot happened. In this episode, all that really happens is a little race and we learn about One For All and All For One. But because of how it's presented to us and how important it is, it feels like a lot happened. During the race everyone reacts to Deku's new training and use of One For All, especially All Might and Bakugo, which leads to the discussion between All Might and Deku about the history of One For All and Quirks in general, giving the audience a greater idea of how the world works and why One For All is the way it is. When giving a basic summary of the episode, it makes it sound like not a whole lot happens, but what does happen is incredibly important and makes the episode feel more full
One for all basically means that the power is stockpiled, so if you are the 7th user of OfA (All Might) your quirk will be as strong as 7 people, so if he gave it to Bakugo, his explosions would be as strong as 8 people’s explosions combined. But he wouldn’t actually pass on his explosion ability.
13:50 the same question applies to eraserhead, which they answered by saying he can't erase a heteromorph. There are probably limits to All-for-One as well, certain powers he can't steal.
no. there is absolutely no limits to his power to steal. and eraserhead can't erase physical appearances but he can steal erase said heroes or villains powers so while he couldn't erase Tokoyami appearance he could prevent him from using dark shadow
direct quote: Geodude guy "Are you going to erase the quirks of heteromorphic type-villians like us too?" Eraserhead "No, I can't". ua-cam.com/video/tPFU5oFok4A/v-deo.htmlm14s
I guess I have a question then houseofaction. How would All for One steal Ojiro's quirk, Tail? If it doesn't change the appearance of the tail, meaning he retains the muscles he has naturally in that form.
I just realized watching this that the quirk to pass on quirks must have been one of their parent's powers, as the both have it. All for One is two quirks combined.
I can't wait until the battle between Endeavor and the new black Nomu gets animated. It'll be so epic especially when Hawk, the number 2 hero, gives Endeavor his wings and they were flaming. I really though Endeavor would die but at the end of the chapter when Dabi arrived it was basically confirmed that Dabi is Endeavor's child.
One For All is the union of two Quirks: A Quirk that stockpiles strength, and a useless Quirk that could only transfer itself to others. This mutation was caused by the Quirk, All For One.
all might literally said one for all is the combined physical prowess of all previous users. we have only ever seen him using physical enhancements so if he had multiple quirks they would have made that clear. one for all is a combination stockpiled power and the ability to pass quirks but the only quirk that ever gets passed is one for all
Master never asked you to believe me and I honestly dont plan to take the time to go find proof for assholes who cant join in a civilized discussion without starting off with insults
Weiss Schnee Yeah, sorry about that. But, you do tend to state things in videos without evidence. The problem with your claim is that we don't know for certain what would happen to a person if One for All accumulates the power, as well as just the strength. I don't think All Might's statement necessarily discredits the idea that multiple quirks could be passed down via One for All simultaneously. That's why I asked for a source from the mangaka if it exists.
One for All can only pass on the ability to stockpile power and the ability to pass on itself and not the original quirk of the holder. If One for All could pass on the original quirk then All Might and Deku should be able to use other quirks from previous holders besides super strength and speed. But they aren't so by this logic all the other previous holders of One for All were originally quirkless. Which is very unlikely since All Might never mentioned his own mentor being quirkless. Just himself.
GUYS WATCH TIGER AND BUNNY!!!! It's like My Hero Academia except it has fewer powered people so it tackles what they had to do to prevent X-Men style prejudice.
At 13:40 they keep going back to thinking their Quicks are related to some of the characters being animals. Which in come cases is true, but some others are just like that naturally. Them being an animal isn't their quick and has nothing to do with it in most cases.
They explained how, the stockpiling quirk and the passing on quirk combined into one, but the quirks previous users had, don't pass on cause they aren't combined into one for all. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
There is a joke that has been going around the MHA fandom from a while that X-men, Tiger & Bunny, and MHA are all in the same timeline. In the X-men mutants are hated and persecuted, in T&B they have started to gain acceptance by turning crime fighting into a pseudo sport/reality show and becoming celebrities, and by MHA's time they have become common place.
Tomura called "father" to the hand in his face, not All for One. If you didn't saw that black and white image, All for One is really injure, it looked like All for One loose is head, and there was a pool of blood, and his face wasn't showed.

I was waiting for this 'eat this' part since we've started watching this show lmao
6:13 Best. Reaction. Ever!
"Why don't they teach this in history?"
*Looks pointedly at US history curriculum. Sighs.*
Oh man I can't wait for them to get to season 3
Its kind of a good thing that they missed the end credit scene now I am even more hyped for next week.
It's not "To-ma-roo", it's "Tomu-ra"
Connor Radcliffe it’s “ballu-Sack”
Toe-moo-rah ?
Trying to make it simpler for English speakers 💀
MordeTerragon/ FiddleThatDiddle yes, that's probably a easier way of explaining and pronouncing it
Connor Radcliffe don’t know how this can be so hard for some people I swear .
I can't wait for them to react to THAT fight, it's going to be glorious!
That's not true... Bcoz Allmight specifically said if he passed his power to Todoroki then it would add to the power of One For All
Im pretty iffy if that's true, but it makes sense.
Rey Mustayne yeah you clearly didn't read my comment since I said everything you said
HELL YES BEEN WAITING FOR THE NEXT EPISODE!! Think this is my favorite series you guys are watching.
6:12 RIP headphone users.
5:48
"Still wish I could use my quirk for speed"
IS THAT SOME FORESHADOWING??
6:11 that reaction is priceless
The scene there All Might doesn't tell Izuku that he might die is so heavy after seeing the latest My hero academia episode fighting fate.
One for All can be given to someone who already has a quirk, All Might mentioned some time ago that he became a teacher at the UA to look for a successor and he also talked about how if he gave One for All to Todoroki he'd be a superhero(fire/ice + one for all)
Just imagine if the user of One For All was on the verge of dying, with nobody yet chosen, so they just gave the quirk to the first person they saw
Season 3 Episode 14 was amazing today!!! So exited for you guys to see it!!!
Ah I can't wait to see the after credits next week!
This has to be the best discussion for Bnha you guys have had.
It’s pretty cool that the colour of their beam in the one for all scene is the colour of their lightning when they use one for all.
(All might’s lightning only appears in his battle with all for one)
missing the end credits already? You guys are not prepared for SEASON 3!
Baby: E-E-E. Mother:awww, he’s about to say his first words! Baby: E A T T H I S
So, the tale has been told. Now, to Season 3! PLUS ULTRA!!!👊🌟
"Can she go that complex" Ooooh boy, you don't even know.
1:29 still love this scene. Deku growing more!
I can’t wait for you guys to get to season 3!
EAT THIS -best line and most meme-d moment of MHA
21:23 STILL slays me. Just looking at Eric and Shane. I love it! LMAO
5:54 everyone: oh not this guy again...
6:13 AHHHHHH!!!!
4:28 I just realized that Bakugo was right😂
10:16 _cries_ i’m at chapter 318 in the manga and i’m VERY scared for what that means
WHERE DOES ERIC GET HIS SHIRTS FROM
"You may one day have to fight against this great evil"
WHY CAN'T SEASON 3 COME FASTER FOR YOU GUYS
6:11 their reaction is so funny XD
"look at that ass!!!" Hahaha
All your questions would be answered in season 3.
Great backstory episode - gotta love MHA!
When it is All Might's time, he will join the other prior holders of One For All. "It is ok, young Midoriya, for I am here. We are here."
I love how most people don't think about one for all and the hero killer.
The collective scream of pain ahaha hahahahaha ha
Anybody else wish that they would react to more than one episode a week
Man, if I had a dollar for every time they said, "It's like Mega Man," I'd be rich...
one for all only passes the ability to stockpile strength not other quirks the users had
Weiss Schnee
I feel like you are just talking out your ass again. Do you have any proof for your statement? Source?
all might literally said one for all is the combined physical prowess of all previous users. we have only ever seen him using physical enhancements so if he had multiple quirks they would have made that clear. one for all is a combination stockpiled power and the ability to pass quirks but the only quirk that ever gets passed is one for all
Master never asked you to believe me and I honestly dont plan to take the time to go find proof for assholes who cant join in a civilized discussion without starting off with insults
Completely forgot about the episodes in between the hero killer arc and the last episode. Was expecting to watch the start of season three next week.
Please do Naoki Urasawa's "Monster" next!
“EAT THIS”
OMG THAT IS SO HILARIOUS WHY ARENT THEY LAUGHING
when you watch an intire playlist and stay up till 5:26 in th... ey im awake now and wow its 2:30 in the afternoon i should proboly get out of bed
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!
10:10 the feels are real.
This is an early upload but I'm very thankful.
At 13:40 they keep going back to thinking their Quicks are related to some of the characters being animals. Which in come cases is true, but some others are just like that naturally. Them being an animal isn't their quick and has nothing to do with it in most cases.
5:54 shawshank redemtiin re reference hahaha at least the creators of the anime have an appreciation for older movies
Funny how today's episode (3×14) also had Midoryia showing new moves.
Did u guys know that blind wave has the greatest lightsaber duel ever
Man, i can’t wait till they get to season 3
Damnit..well...caught up with y'all....until next episode!
I can’t wait for the exam episodes
They explained how, the stockpiling quirk and the passing on quirk combined into one, but the quirks previous users had, don't pass on cause they aren't combined into one for all. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
And now everyone who said this was how One for all worked has a massive amount of egg on their faces thanks to the latest manga chapters.
" *EaT tHiS* "
There is a joke that has been going around the MHA fandom from a while that X-men, Tiger & Bunny, and MHA are all in the same timeline. In the X-men mutants are hated and persecuted, in T&B they have started to gain acceptance by turning crime fighting into a pseudo sport/reality show and becoming celebrities, and by MHA's time they have become common place.
Not skipping stuff is how you end up with 500 episode anime
23:39 awkward silence
Tomura called "father" to the hand in his face, not All for One.
If you didn't saw that black and white image, All for One is really injure, it looked like All for One loose is head, and there was a pool of blood, and his face wasn't showed.
Gotta do another vid reacting to the post-credits scene!
