This album is incredible but the track feedbacker pt 2 is just way above that level. For me it’s the greatest showcase of the potential of an electric guitar. All the stops were pulled.
They perform this whole album as one 35 min song on their live album rock dream with merzbow. That version is one of my fav songs ever. It's insane how they can make already good music better live
I'd recommend listening to their album "Dronevil -Final-" (on youtube, since the concept of it is playing both discs at the same time : disc drone and disc evil. Some people uploaded it there so you can listen to it) it's more patient (barely over an hour with like an entire section of guitar drones) but is also genuinely the most intense album I've ever heard. Of course both of those are some of my favorite albums of all time personally. Great reactions btw !
I highly recommend checking out some Oxbow!! An Evil Heat is their best imo and I think it'd make for an interesting reaction... One of my favorite albums of all time. The Anatomy of Addiction by GOD is Kevin Martin & Justin Broadrick's best work. Both are must-listens.
I’ve been wanting to do that one for a bit but I keep forgetting about it with the constant stream of albums I’m trying to do vids on lol, it will definitely happen
this is one of the only bands that have two albums tied for their best (this and flood). I love them so much, if they ever come to your area please do watch them live, it's a once in a lifetime experience.
Hey Snowy, always glad to see your uploads. I don't know how to listen to so many albums! I second Giles Corey and maybe give the new Foxing album a listen if you have analysis paralysis I think you'd like it at the very least!
highly recommend giles corey, daughter of darkness, sadness will prevail, i want to be there, the new sound (guy from black midis new album), none so vile, citta 93, any bowery electric album or any of john zorns work as a next listen, love the reactions as well
If you want to see Boris in a movie there's Confessions, by director Tetsuya Nakashima, wich plays a loop of My Machine from Pink for almost hald an hour + other songs of theirs, you should really check it out!
Hi snowy, Just wanted to soy that if you could react to the progressive/art rock album 万能青年旅店 [Omnipotent Youth Society] - 冀西南林路行 (Inside The Cable Temple) Its one of my favorites discovers in this year and i think you could realy enjoy it
I think this band is a pretty generic doom/drone metal band that people get romantic feelings for because they're Japanese. I've seen them live and it was meh.
I like this band, their early records were amazing like Feedbacker, Flood, Pink, Dronevil, Amp Worship, Heavy Rocks etc. But the records they've been releasing lately are just plain rubbish in my opinion. I don't like them because they're Japanese or anything, I just like the drone metal genre and I got into this band.
10:40 "I think it will settle down with this 4th song" lmao
I'd recommend Dopethrone by electric wizard. Classic stoner doom.
I 2nd this! The atmosphere is out of this world heavy!
This album is incredible but the track feedbacker pt 2 is just way above that level.

To this day, Feedbacker pt 2 solo is still one of the most powerful moments in music
"my ears"
it would NEVER be a full boris experience without the hearing pains. gotta love it

you should definitely do a review of boris' pink or akuma no uta next. it's sound is way more accessible than flood and feedbacker.
Yeah can you believe Boris does actual songs too, not just album-length sound experiments?
I'd recommend listening to their album "Dronevil -Final-" (on youtube, since the concept of it is playing both discs at the same time : disc drone and disc evil. My favourite Non-Swans album.
Also, I recommend uhhh Sun0))) for more of this kind of soundscape

Have you listened to Melvin's album Bullhead? It starts with the song Boris liked so much they named their band after it.
Giles Corey self titled next?
I’ve been wanting to do that one for a bit but I keep forgetting about it with the constant stream of albums I’m trying to do vids on lol, it will definitely happen
keep posting dude, i love your vids

You should react to Atrocity Exhibition by Danny Brown for some hip hop stuff or Karma by Pharoah Sanders for jazz stuff
Do 98.12.28 otokotachi no wakare by fishmans, a 2 hour long album of Japanese dream pop which is considered the best live album ever
Was listening to this album these days, Boris is amazing.
I recomend Sinner Get Ready by Lingua Ignota, very interesting album.

Listen to first utterance by comus
I have! Very strange album but I like it a lot
*drip drip*
Funn fact: "Diana", one of the songs on this album has the same melody as " Diana"by Current 93
@@deal8403 well you think that might be an intentional homage from Current 93, since their song came out 20ish years after Comus?
Dude you have to react to October rust By Type O Negative, That album is an Eargasm!

Really?? Can you suggest any other bands like boris because for me no one else comes fucking close
@@denno445 Fushitsusha, Earth, Les Rallizes Denudes
