- I stopped by the Leonard's Bakery truck over at Koko Marina today because there was no line. There usually is a long line of people waiting. I ordered one of each favor they offered.. what a treat.... cinnamon, custard, debase, haupia, li hing powder and original....
eat it while it's hot....
Aloha I lived on Oahu for over 30yrs I moved back to So Cal for my elderly parents. A big thanks for bringing back wonderful memories and including your mom (Both of mine have passed away) Mahalo again from a new subscriber
Your mother is adorable! She is so cute! Will try the malasadas when I am Hawaii!
I appreciate how you're your moms caregiver, as I was for my mom... treasure these moments with her! She seems very strong. Please take care of yourself as well Na-chan. Gambate ne!
It's so refreshing seeing your videos ! I have no family here in oahu so your videos are very comforting!
The Malasadas are so good, I rarely get them though because they're so messy to eat... it ruins it for me. The custard and coconut are my favorite!!
This seems so popular amongst tourists in Hawaii i cannot wait to try them when im there this January 2023 :)
I like your hairstyle! SImple yet elegant. I am looking for a new style, taking screenshot LOL. Your mom has such a beautiful smile (like MY mama-san).
I agree...Like the OG ones.
I'm glad you bought all the flavors to taste. The coconut or the cinnamon ones look so yum. And a good price too. Here, fresh doughnuts are 2.50 each. And hard to find, but nothing as good as those. Yum
Hi Niki and mom I’m so happy to see you..maladadas Yum
It's SO NICE to see Okaasan doing so well!! She's SOOO CUTE!! I grew up eating malasadas from Leonard's for breakfast every Sunday!! What a delicious treat!! But they only had the original ones back then!! 😋💗😉
I remember when they were 25 cents each, but only had plain with and without sugar. Then the custard came along with the price increase. I myself have eaten each flavor at one sitting but cut in half. Tough on the A1C with the sugar overload.
Original w/out cinnamon and haupia... Oishii.
I'm diabetic but I would still try one.🤣 They look delicious. I probably would like the ones that have no filling too. Yummy!💗
You can ask them to put less sugar or no sugar. At least that's what my brother tells me. I kind of like the original too. Haupia is good but messy.
Try Paalakai bakery malasada in waialua. Also the snow puffs.
I haven't had malasadas for so long I could easily eat a dozen..lol
I love the original also but I haven’t tried the ling hing Muir. I probably like it too! 😋💜
Fun vlog! Can you do another with Manapuas?
Kuma at the end 😍
Nice
This is me. Buying everything I see but then realizing I can hardly finish one! They almost look like fried anpan donuts.
I like to get it without the sugar and no filling! Is your mom enjoying persimmon season?!
I don't remember them being so dark...like they are over cooked...when i ate them in the 70's...they seemed golden not dark like that...Got them in early 90's and they were dark also. Hmmm...
Where’s your husband
Enjoyed this video thumbs up, but I guess you will be finishing it off because you smelled it with your nose and licked your fingers and still handled each one. So I’m assuming those Malassadas are all for you.
I usually will cut them with a knife or scissors if we are not going to eat them all.
Anyway love food videos especially with your mom
