    I've pretty much seen & watched all your marine tanks now, they always impress me & I love your honesty on when things are wrong or go bad & you show how & what your doing to try and fix it.
    I pulled the trigger on a reefer 250 but was just far to big for a first marine tank so I went with a water box Peninsula Mini 25 which will be running soon.
    Keep up the videos & updates always love seeing a new one to watch from you. ☺️

    Tank is looking awesome! I am narrowing in my alk in my 80gal IM SRO Pro2 AIO currently with kalk. After that I will look to keeping a stable PH via my Apex JR that I still have to setup.

      Thank you bud! Love the sr systems, yes we all want that 8.3-8.4 ph and in reality it will be 8-8.1 at best for most homes and systems

    Hi mate we spoke about power heads on my reef habitat 90 before I got one 10k per hour on it and still struggling with getting it right anyway after watching your son's video I got rid of my reef photons lights and got 2 red sea reefled 50 it's early days yet and I have them on the 100 blue and white 50% I'm definitely liking them over the TMC reef photons my goal is to get to something looking as nice as your tank mate

    Use tap water that's treated with Chloramine but I use the water conditioner, reads about .5ppm but the ammonia guard thingy says 0 ( actually tests just for ammonia if I understand correctly). Until I move to better water, any experience with this / issues?

    • @nathanqwerty1
      @nathanqwerty1  Рік тому +1

      You need to use reverse osmosis water with 0 tds for a reef tank and a good quality salt like Red Sea

  • @sbazain
    @sbazain Рік тому +2

    so you feed the corals plus trace elements from ALL FOR REEF, just started dosing it but I don't have as many coral yet

    • @nathanqwerty1
      @nathanqwerty1  Рік тому

      Yes the Red Sea energy AB+ is a direct coral food that you can direct feed or broadcast feed, it caters for 10-15% more growth and colour, it really does make a difference in coral vibrancy and health and also essential if you run close to 0 nitrates and low phosphates

      @nathanqwerty1  Рік тому

      Thank you 🙏 yep got a large true one in I’ve had for about 3 years and doesn’t touch um 😂 in my experience the only thing that works is to be proactive with killing them manually or a file fish that I’ve used before with great success literally gets them all but then moves on to coral, probably better suited to a large reef system that has loads of food going in so it’s not temped to eating coral, unfortunately this system is too small for one

    Hi Nathan I have the same light but prefer the shimmer on yours than mine - can you share the blue and white settings?

    • @nathanqwerty1
      @nathanqwerty1  Рік тому +1

      Hi, yep run 100% blue and white, try and get surface to ripple gently and that will create a nice shimmer

    That little 25 Lagoon on that white stand looks really sharp
    I’m looking to downsize houses eventually and I’m seriously considering this tank, just wondering if you have any regrets at all?, did you consider the 50 Lagoon? Just a little concerned with the 12” height , guess I have to go see one to get a better take
    I’m mainly a high end acro guy and thus would make a nice little showcase
    Thanks for all the videos, really enjoy them.

    • @nathanqwerty1
      @nathanqwerty1  Рік тому

      Cheers, yeah highly recommend this tank so easy to maintain and looks nice and higher end, I had the same concerns over height but you just built the scape lower, depending on where your from as so availability as looks like you can’t get hold of these tanks in the uk now

    • @nathanqwerty1
      @nathanqwerty1  Рік тому +1

      If your talking about the SPS colony in the center of scape? It’s a green Bali slimmer or Dallas ACRO as they call it down under. Not really that hard to keep like most ACRO’s just needs good stable mature system with medium to high par lighting, grows rapidly when happy and established and has some awesome growth patterns, my favorite SPS coral

    Hey, have you found somewhere to buy replacement filter socks from? Mine are a mess now. Searched online but most places either always show out of stock or are in the USA with a larger delivery fee than the price of the sock 😂

    • @nathanqwerty1
      @nathanqwerty1  Рік тому +2

      Don’t use them, waste of time, just put a corse square sponge in and use filter floss, I’m currently running no mechanical at all as tank runs at nearly 0 nutrients

    I love seeing a submissive damsel like that, its not recommended to add any more fish as the damsel will turn its attention to any newcomer.
