best keyboard i ever owned...my favourite was the Korg 800II mark 2 - this little plastic thing has endless ideas if you are a writer, you won't need a sequencer it does so much all by itself
It does NOT have a 16 track sequencer. Number of sequencers=0. It is 16 parts multitimbral for use with external sequencers, controllers or for playing Standard MIDI Files off a USB flash drive.
what the hell. You just saved me some money! I grew up on a Roland W-30. I was looking for something similar. But new, and obviously nothing with a flippy drive. 😂
It's probably the cheapest workstation because it's not actually a workstation. It just has some features that makes it a nice midi controller for Cubase and it's an audio interface. If you want a budget workstation get the Korg Kross 2.
Hi, im a Jdxi owner too and i like it a lot. But even interested in MX49. How do you make them work together? MX midi to Roland (slave)? You play piano parts on MX and synth parts with JD? Im curious to know how i can use them live in a unique setting. Thanx in advance.

A couple questions: Can you use the preset sounds from the board in Abelton or pro tools? Can you plug headphones straight into the board and listen to what your playing straight from the board?
You should probably start 'smaller' if you don't know the answer to these questions. In short, yes, you use line out (either stereo or L/mono) and capture/send midi from your DAW. Headphone outputs do exactly as they say, the circuit and resulting output is set up for headphone impedance ranges.

It does not have a useable sequencer, it can only play back MIDI files made elsewhere, it is not possible to sequence on the keyboard itself.
