Hastings Heritage Trail/ Old Hastings Road Ride, Marmora to Bancroft

- On this ride we start in Marmora and ride the Hastings Heritage Trail north into Bancroft. On our return we decided to take the Old Hastings Road from L'Amable south to Millbridge where we reconnected with the Hastings Heritage Trail.

We were out there a few weeks ago, Ran from the lot at 50 up to the mine then around the Stirling Loop. Looks like they filled in some of the deeper sections of the trail, especially the section right before the trail up to the mine. Glad you had you were able to get out too, not many places to ride in the winter.
ya they filled in that deep water spot by the mine last summer/fall actually. Some were not happy that they did but it is a multi use trail so i understand why they did. And yes your right , at this time of year with alot of trails not open till may 1st we take what we can get..lol. The Old Hastings Road was a great ride aswell if you have never been then try it .

I think you guys passed me and 3 of my buddies. We were stopped on the side of the trail taking a break, probably in an area that was a little to thin. Great video. I'm looking forward to doing the same run.

Ya on good Friday. We were stopped near the 4 way intersection where if you are coming north it's lingham lake to the right and marmora mines if you turn left. Lingham lake eventually. We came from Frankford and went to stirling and east and then up to madoc and across to marmora.
Great ride! I wish they would turn the abandoned railways around here into atv trails. All they do with them if anything around here is make a “greenway” out of them which is only for walking and bicycles. I use to ride an abandoned railroad that was on private property years ago in my earlier videos, it was pretty cool. I got a kick out of you going through the Tim Horton’s drive through on the Grizzly. I got to laughing when you were asking that guy about did his “man purse” have any lip gloss. Lol! Thanks for the comment ! The railbed can get boring after a while but its a good change once in a while. I wanted the others to go thru the drive thru aswell but no one would.. lol. I had heard others had in the past so figured why not..lol, and ya the man purse thing was hilarious.. lol
How long did it take to ride from marmora to bancroft(1 way)?
Its 100kms from Marmora to Bancroft on the Hastings Heritage trail which is the old railbed so it depends on your speed and how often you stop . Roughly id say 2 or 3 hours but our group does fly down the trails either and we stop for breaks .
What trail pass are you running for the trails that you ride on your utube channel ?
