  • We take on the trails in and around Kearney, Ontario on our Can-Am Outlanders. Covering 100kms, we encounter everything from mud, sand, water and LOTS of rocks! These are some of the best ATV trails in Ontario and this marked our 3rd year visiting Kearney for a week-long ATV adventure.

    Man who ever that lee is he sure knows the trails and is he’ll of a rider. And that cargo box he has is the best one I have ever seen!! Luck that you have a guy that can show you how to go around obstacles. Almost as good as the blue Canam in other videos!

      Thank you! We were actually staying at Edgewater Park Lodge so we left from there. If you read a few comments back I replied with a rough outline of the trail numbers. Thanks for watching!

    Do you have to buy a permit for these trails? Do you feel that having the rad and intakes up high is a must for these trails?

    • @johnsoff-road
      @johnsoff-road  Рік тому +1

      Yes we have permits for all the trails we ride. And I would absolutely recommend a rad relocate. We used to have machines overheat on literally every single ride. Since doing the rads we haven’t had one issue.

    1 thing i notice about a can am there a lot of maint on it daily touch water have to grease it 16 fitting on mine take hrs daily to work on it ...There fast n fun

    • @johnsoff-road
      @johnsoff-road  Рік тому

      Aside from washing it after every ride and the 5 mins to hit the grease fittings, it’s just changing fluids each year. I haven’t found any of mine to require much maintenance at all.

      MY 850 XT 2022 REQUIRES GREASE EVERY TIME IT TOUCHES THE WATER OR MUD WHICH IS A LOT OF WORK FOR ME 16 GREASE FITTING THE PANELS ON EACH SIDED PLUS THE STEP HAS TO COME OFF AND THE 2 PANEL ON TOP.... TAKE ABOUT 1 1/2 HRS ....FIRST COUPLE TIMES IT TOOK 2 1/2 HRS ..PLUS REPLACE CLIP EVERY THRID TIME YOU TEAR IT APART PLUS THE SPECIAL TOOL YOU BUY... DO YOU KNOW ANY SECERT HOW TO GET AROUND ALL THIS MAINT ?????? MY FRIEND CUT THE PLATE OUT SO HE GAN GET TO EVERY THING.... WITH HIS DRIBBLE TOOL LOOK OK BUT IT LOOSE NOW HASNT LOST ANY PARTS YET ON IT.. ITS BEEN 3 WEEKS AGO ...ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED

      @johnsoff-road  Рік тому

      @@davidhammer9283 I’m not sure why you’re having to take plastics off to get to the grease fittings. They’re all accessible without removing anything. The only plastic you may want to remove to make it slightly easier is the small pieces inside the front wheel wells that goes behind the shock. But it’s not necessary. I grease all fittings, change engine oil and gear oil all without removing any plastics (except that inner front fender piece I mentioned).

      That’s right. Drive shaft and rears don’t require anything being removed to access them. Super easy.

      Lol thanks! These were basically the South end trails for Algonquin West ATV Club. We left from Edgewater Park Lodge where we were staying. The trails were roughly 35-32-30-26-20-18-26-31-32 in that order. Hopefully it makes sense.

    • @johnsoff-road
      @johnsoff-road  2 роки тому +2

      We jump between a few apps but Ride Command is one of our main ones. I was also using BRMB but it's a paid subscription to use (but well worth the $3.49/mth).

    What kind of gps unit are you using?

      It’s a ruggedized/waterproof Android device/phone available on amazon. The brand is Bison. It’ll run any of the usual mapping apps and it’s cheap. I setup a hotspot on my iPhone and it gives the android device wireless data.

      I use DJI cameras...a couple of the original Osmo Actions and my main camera is now the Action 3. For communications we use the Cardo Packtalk Bold. We've tried the cheaper "Amazon" headsets and for a group larger than 2 people they're not worth the headaches. The Cardo's have been flawless and are perfect for large groups.
