I had to laugh when julia told that they chose the next room before they recorded an episode because I had to think of the time when rose and york didn't care, where to go next and grendma said: "Let's go to the study" and then york replied: "Why do you feel so strongly about it, that's a little suspicious"
I think the context makes this hillarious

I absolutely love that Julia was so detail-oriented, and went so in-depth with literally every aspect of everything, and planned it all out so thoroughly right down to the very placement of every single post and beam, in every single room of the house. I mean, I'm not at all surprised because of course she did.
Yet the one thing she never accounted for was that Nathan, Karina, and Jacob's main focus.....would be "Butt Cloud".

I legitimately got Sorens name backwards!
Soaring Justice never even crossed my mind! I assumed it was 'Sore Injustice' as a reference to what an injustice it was that a good man was dead. Kinda like, he was the most virtuous and good of all of the characters and yet he was the one to die, and his wife Lotta wanted a Lotta Justice for what happened to him.
That's how my brain worked that all out.
Soaring Justice is much better than my convoluted nonsense.

Same; "sore injustice" was the first thing I thought of. I don't know if that's a phrase people say often but I just assumed it was after interpreting the pun that way. "Soaring justice" crossed my mind, but didn't sound as much like a "thing," and I just thought, why use it for a pun if it's not a "thing?" It's funny that I had the whole situation backwards.

Requisite defense of 17th century farmers: Daylight savings was for CITY FOLK. Farmers don't care about the clock, they work the fields when the sun was out. The clocks decided when the lamplighters made their rounds in the city. Adjusting the time on the clock helped save money on the lamp oil. The CURRENT blame for daylight savings is the governments that DON'T abolish it!

well, that is a good episode 1 where each pc draws one thing, but the other two I don't know where to put. an epilogue setting up season 3? a mid-season flashback? exchanging the abilities for an on-demand flashback to get something useful?

@@Markcrazeer I feel like you're seeing it from the point of being very much a game mechanic while I would see it more as a way to flesh out the story, so maybe the Cast draw these scenes in advance, we maybe get to watch them speeddrawstyle and then they are use to tell the story in between the seasons, nothing to do with the game itself, just an episode to get back into it

    • @Markcrazeer
      @Markcrazeer 3 роки тому

@@misscutenar2333 fair enough. Yes i do see things too much in terms of mechanics. I use needless rolls for myself all the time.
I understand the need for a lack of game mechanics pick a room ANd Searchers for random clues is not needed. What i presented was not in terms of game mechanics IT was in terms of drawfee video mechanics.
that last one with getting the advantage is useless AS the NPCs will likley not be too uncooperative but the rest are placing these flashbacks into the series Slotting IT in the drawfee format.
If they do not Get drawing challanges is season 2 IT will be disapointing ANd feel less drawfee ANd less drawtectives. The random drawing bullshit is what separates drawtectives from any other detective themed improv show.
Infact i would say that stats ANd game mechanics whether that is dice or a jenga tower or having to draw random bullshit for NPCs is what separates any rpg from pure improv.

It was really interesting how everyone’s strengths naturally came out in this. Like obviously Julia masterminding all of this, drawing all those rooms, animating everything and voicing all this etc… but I was really impressed with Jacob’s improv skills. That was wild. He is so quick on his feet with jokes, lore, comebacks, etc. Then Nathan was the most unlikely genius when it came to actually solving things, putting clues together, and following the case. Lastly Karina was just herself and that’s always all anyone needs. She was kind of the straight man to Jacob and Nathan’s ridiculous characters. Kept the story moving. Amazing altogether.

No clue why he would do it (I was holding out for more info), but maybe he used his weapon that was in its case so he could hide the evidence in plain sight.
