- Setting Up The SyGav Head Unit | Evo X |. Its a pretty long video but i hope it help you set up your head unit. You will need to get the updated software from Sygav and load it into a flash drive then connect it to the car radio by the usb cable that came with the radio, also don’t forget to remove the small chip inside the head unit located in the front center, that’s the navigation it be wipe clean if you don’t remove it during the update. After the update but the chip back in to install. Good Luck Everyone

Horn and airbag light is likely your clock spring behind your steering wheel, $50 part will get it fixed
As far as I'm concerned the Maps and UA-cam stuff doesn't work without Wi-Fi on Android. You can download offline maps so it'll work, just always ran into a hassle doing so. I ended up getting rid of this unit after 4 years for the Tesla style one just because of little inconvenient bugs and scratches. Took a little getting used to, but don't regret it one bit. The ZLINK hands free Car Play is a huge plus tho! I've noticed it utilizes WIFI and Bluetooth which is odd, but not conflicting whatsoever. It looks good man! Jealous of both of y'all Varis kits! One day
Thank you bro hahaha Varis so nice but go damn it’s expensive. I was actually going to get the Tesla unit but the screen is a tad to big for me I’ll see how this one goes for now if it doesn’t work out I can always switch it up

Hey i just bought a evo x with the same radio. But for some reason mine keeps draining my battery. Any idea how to fix that?
Ik its the radio because when i take the radio fuse out. The battery doesnt drain at all.

Car been down since December lol but I have not had any issue with the radio since install

Got mine last year and it’s having issues of freezing up every fourth time it’s turned on. Updated to Las test firmware too from sygav, even had them help telling me the processor chip is loose and that still didn’t help. Now they haven’t messaged me back. Be weary

I have problem with keyless signal when radio is in sleeping mode

If anyone can help. I bought this headunit from a buddy of mine, it doesn’t have that little sd card and it’s not allowing me to save photos or update apps. When I go to gallery it says “no external storage available” but I have 56gb left. I tried what they did in the video by saving it to flash but still get the same no storage available
im having an issue with no sound while playing music and stuff like that

Personally I'm not a fan of these Android touchscreen head units cuz eventually the OS support ends after few years and you have to keep upgrading.
The set up is a pain and upgrading the system is even worst the only thing it got going for it is it looks nice 😂
