    I was down in Miami in the eighties for a job and the place I stayed had a tree in the yard that was a toxic tree it made you go crazy can't remember what it was called . Getting a whole new heating and air conditioning system installed right now have a wonderful day!.

    Through Hole components. I miss them. Much easier to solder and have much higher power ratings. And actually easy to identify resistance of, unlike modern surface mounts I deal with daily

      Yes! They dissipate heat tot he boards more effectively and are less likely to lift traces!

      @@chargermopar Yup, I was happy when one of my Agilent 8753 network analyzers broke and when I was troubleshooting, parts were so easy to work with, only hard to but replacements for. :) I'm not surprised you are kept busy. I'm sure you are saving $$$ on fixing stuff for pennies instead of hundreds of bucks. That network analyzer I ended up fixing, by replacing the bridge rectifier in power supply module, cost was less than 1$ for the part, while new power supply module was few hundred...

      @@PolishMike1993 It's rare to find something where parts are easy to get. It's like the Robinaire recovery units I got which had circuit board cracks. Surface mount connectors like to break but through board are so much more robust!

    My gate broke too, replaced the board and still didnt work so hubby replaced the whole set up cause nobody wanted to come this far out to fix it

    I like your pet ducks....please don't resort to eating THEM. I know you said you can't afford beef anymore. I have tried to eat DUCK one time ..and I did NOT like it. Ruthie. 08.03.24

      Oh I do eat their eggs and when there are too many ducks I eat duck as well! I LOVE muscovy duck!!
