Very informative Ray. The curse of the TM-30 is back!😂. It was also a thing when I last visited in 2018. I'll be back, this time for good, in 6 days. My question is do you need to get it at every hotel that you stay at? Let's say that I want to stay a few days near Walking Street, then try several locations in Jomtien. I have a feeling that the answer is yes. If so then it could get pricey using an agent every time. Vietnam is sounding better all the time.
Hotels, are required to file the TM30 for you. And they usually do. However, if you are here as a tourist and do not intend to get an extension, I would not be concerned about it.
Thanks for the reply Ray, that helps to clear things up in my frazzled brain. My move to Thailand will be permanent. I plan on using Jomtien as a home base and also visit Vietnam and the Philippines. I find your videos to be very helpful.
Thank you.
Hi Ray,
Another great video.
1. For Non-O Visa with every 90 days report, this MUST be report 1 day before or how many days before?
2. Does TM30 require for 90 days report and Non-O visa renew?
Thank you.
You can file a 90 day report up to 15 days before and 7 days after the due date. They may or may not ask to see your TM30 but keep it in your passport just in case.

Hi Ray,
Sorry you have lost me, I got the "15 days before"
BUT "7 days after the due date", They will NOT fine you?
@@airchanthaboury9005 you read it correctly, they will not fine you unless you go to 8 days after the due date.

Hi Ray,
Thank you so much for your advise.
Q1.
In regard to TM30 and because I have a Non-O Visa so if I come back to Thailand next year. I have to go to Immigration Office to apply for TM30 within 24 hrs from arrival correct?
Q2.
Since TM30 is in Thai language, I can just ask some any local photo shop next to Immigration Office to help me out or pay agency to do it?
Q3.
How much is TM30 to pay at Immigration Office?
Thank you Ray.
1. Correct, but you are not applying for anything, TM30 is the name of a form that you complete and submit. 2. The form is in Thai and Englishand is easy to complete. 3. There is no cost.@@airchanthaboury9005
Ray - I now have my initial 90-day Non-O. I have to return to Immigration a month before the expiration ( 22 January...so 22 DEC ) - to apply for the 1 year extension. What are they going to expect / ask for - regarding this TM30 (bs)? Seems like such a waste and useless bureaucracy. Who is going to read/manage/ do anything with the "data" that is created by all of that reporting?
Check your email.
How would Immigration know where you are if you do not need to renew your extension, or do your 90 day reprting obligation.
Wherever you go, the house owner or hotel is required to submit a TM30 to report where you are within 24 hours.
@AllAboutLifeInThailand you didn't answer the question.
"How would immigration know if either you or the landlord did not do a TM 30 if you do not renew your extension ot do a 90 day report?
@@marvinfalikovic4177 ask them. I have no idea.
@AllAboutLifeInThailand the answer is they can't
If you do not renew your visa they will know you have not left Thailand. And after being on overstay for a while, you will be on their radar. How they would find you, I do not know. But I think one day they will.@@marvinfalikovic4177
I am going to rent a condo and live there with my thai girlfriend. Does it make any difference for TM30 notification ?
No. A TM30 must be submitted as and when required.
Can't find the Play Store TM 30 app, what is the "Exact name" ?
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.etm6&hl=en

I was considering retirement in Thailand, but after hearing this, there is no way. What a ridiculous bureaucracy! There many other countries that don’t treat expat retirees as potential terrorists.
No country is perfect. So inclined people can always find something to complain about.
It's a simple form ffs 😂
Is reporting your residence to the local police station enough if you live to far away from an Immigration office?
Yes, but as mentioned in the video, there are 3 other ways. Post, and 2 online apps that are both free. There is a link to one of the apps in the description.

Then it is hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the police you go.
Hi Ray, I stay at my girlfriends house. I make sure I do the TM30 if I'm going for a visa extension but I never bother if I am not applying for this extension. Next month I am there for one month only, what do you suggest please? TM30 or not? Thanks for your great informative videos.
Before I can answer that, tell me what is happening in one month? At this point, I am assuming you are leaving the country. If that is so, will you be returning, and on what kind of visa?
In 1 month I travel to Thailand from Australia. Staying at my girlfriends house. I'll be on a 30 day visa exemption. After the 30 days I will be returning to Australia. Is there a requirement to do a TM30 if I am not extending the visa? Cheers
I will be returning to Thailand around June but will get a 60 day tourist visa before I travel.
Eventually (in about 12months) I plan to get a retirement Non immigrant O visa
@nomsui5720 to play safe, your girlfriend should file a TM.30 to notify immigration of your arrival and departure and, you should keep a copy of your arrival TM.30 in your passport.
