Super useful, and confidence inspiring. I might give it a go myself. I've had bad experiences on past bikes, but these seem pretty high quality and fit. Thanks for sharing.
Another great vid, thank you. I might do this once I'm through the initial break in period. Right now my wife and I are just enjoying it. I did make a few minor changes on mine. Installed a Freeway Blaster low note horn, Atlas bottom mount throttle lock and grip puppies. It just keeps getting better and better. Still getting used to that illusive neutral. Hopefully that will get better over time. Ride safe.
thank you, the changes you made sound nice. after my first service i have really started to push the bike. and every day i am more and more surprised. I'm gonna try to do a video this week talking about the first service and what's been happening since then. try, because of the rain forecast. BOOOO Ride Happy !
It's pretty much a Guzzi thing as far as I noticed. I learned to ride on a naked kawi and then I bought my first Guzzi, 2002 750 Nevada. I legit thought it was just broken. After a while I was a pro at it. Then I bought the new v7 850 and it's just the same.
thanks for the video. I picked up a V7Stone 850 10 days ago and just had the 1st service done and it is time to order the mistral exhaust. Your videos helped me make that decision. Like you mentioned post 1st service it was time to open things up more on the rev range and I am very impressed with this motor. The mistral short pipes will be perfect. I just also installed a Dart flyscreen on mine last night also. That completes the look. I went with the smallest one they offer.
That is awesome buddy. I am so happy my videos helped you. I really do love the sound and the look of the Mistral exhaust on the bike. And the weight savings as nice as well. A quick question about the dart fly screen, which one did you end up ordering? Was it the one for the 2020 v7 750, ended it fit perfectly. Also with the smallest one, how does that affect the wind flow over the bike. I've found so far that the bike by itself actually does a really good job of moving the wind around you at speeds of 75 - 80 miles an hour. I'm still really wondering about grabbing the classic dart screen, the mid size one to test out.
@@dreamreaver23 Piranha FlyScreen - midnight tint, label says MkIII model from 2017. There is no adjustment for angle. The bracket has a small triangle foot that rests on the headlight housing. I have yet to test ride it.
@@migmi006 This is great news. I emailed the company about getting a Piranha and they said they would be making them as soon as they could get a bike to measure. Glad to hear that you found an existing model that fits. Thanks for sharing. Yes, please let us know how it works out for you. I've heard good and bad, but would like to hear from someone who has it installed on this bike. Ride safe.
@@dreamreaver23 dart fly screen - takes the wind blast off the chest, I ride 80 - 85 - 90 in hwy traffic for 75 miles and thought the tiny screen did it’s job. I’m happy I went with the small one. Also I’m 5’9” with 30” inseam. This bike reminds me of my 1984 Honda VF500 Interceptor.
Hello there great video.. do you find that they affect the vibration of the bike? and also is that normal that the fitting is slightly asymmetric ? my left can bracket is not perfectly flush
I installed my pipes Thursday night and have put 625 miles on the bike Friday & today. Flat spot at 2750 - 3000. Other than that I love the way the motor revs out and sounds and midrange pulls harder. (Db killers are in). Your thoughts after putting some miles on your bike would he helpful.
Awesome, I agree with you in the sense that there is a bit more of a noticeable oomf in the pull on the bike since I put the exhaust on. It's not a night and day difference but it is noticeable, all in all the exhaust is really great I definitely would recommend it to anyone, but the biggest thing for me is the sound difference between the stock exhaust and the mistral. I will start making some more videos again and talking about some of my thoughts on it, these past couple weeks there's just been a lot going on here at the house so I haven't been able to get out and ride as much as I wanted to.
Agreed, I haven't had any clearance issues. Damn that's some mileage. I think right now I'm at around 1300 miles. However, we have had a lot of fires that have put a ton of smoke in the air around our area and with my asthma I can't really be out with the smoke, what's really sucks because we've had some days where I'm like man it would be a good day to ride except for the smoke today
Did the pipes come with any installation instructions? I want to install them myself as you did, but it would be my first bigger mechanical job on a bike, even tho it seems it's just bolts and nuts
that i do not know, i haven't seen any other vids with the long version, and i don't have the funding to purchase the longs to do a comparison. However I would think that they are pretty similar as they have to pass EU Regulation. Sorry.
Would you be interested in selling the OEM silencers? Looking for a pair for my 2021 V7 Superior 850. Bought the bike with Agostinos already installed but don’t care for them at all. Thx!
I have had a couple of people ask if i would sell mine to them. I can't seem to let myself do it. Even though they are setting in a box on my shelf. i like having them there as a just in case scenario. so unfortunately, no, i can't let them go. sorry bud.
Are you considering Mistral headers to possibly close that irksome little gap? I’ve already got chipping on my headers on my V7 850, so I’m considering it as one of those things to do in the not too distant future.
Quick question on the Mistral exhaust. I've noticed that the inside heels of my 8.5 inch riding boots contact the heat shields on the stock exhaust. I ride this bike with the balls of my feet on the pegs. So far no burning rubber. Still adapting to the bike from the Road Glide which had floor boards. Do you have any issues with your heels hitting the Mistral exhaust? Ride safe.
Sorry for the delayed response. No I don't have any problems with my shoes hitting the mistral exhausts. They seem to be low and back enough for me.i hope that helps
You can use a "Track Stand" for the rear, Pit Bull makes a nice one.....about the same price for an OEM center stand.

They do have instructions. Altogether it took about 30 minutes to install
Major weight saving I’ll bet plus an improvement with the sound?
Yup yup, the sound is great, and shaves off about 10 pounds from the bike
I'm curious as why you picked short over long? I can't decide which I prefer the look of
Shorter the better for me, also less weight
Hi! Those slipons are the short Version, do you know if there is a significant diference in sound to the long version??
