This made me cry lmao. The feeling reminded me of a dream i had about a week ago. I was a little kid and my dad gave me a ride on his shoulders wile everyone was singing and we howled like wolves. My dad died when i was fourteen from a drug overdose so it was bitter sweet
It sounds like a song that I'd try to make myself feel better with (in the place of omori) and have fun but i can't fully feel swept up in happiness because I know something is wrong. Like the undertones in the music sound sad but they're kinda trying to mask it in a way...and whitespace popped up in the fast piano is spot which makes me wonder if that's because piano=mari=white space. Because whitespace is the layout of mari's picnic, it's a way to comfortably remember her and not anything else that happened thats bad. So whitespace comes in like "hey chill, just have fun" to try and stop it from getting sad. I over analyze sorry if this doesn't connect to you.

AAA I recently became interested in this song. I listened to it during my omori game and started humming it from time to time. To the point that I wanted to find it again by searching it in the omori soundtrack. And it was not long ago that I was finally able to find his name, and seriously, it's an amazing song.
I think it's intentional. Not only there's already a bad omen on your mind at this point in the game, but the percussion sounds are slowed down. Also, a ghost party in a misty forest at night? The entire setting is so conflicting.

this music sounds just like a carnival to me. and I guess carnivals can have a kind of eerie or haunting vibe to them so that checks, but I don't hear this as haunting or creepy at all. it's one of the most relaxing and pleasant from the ost imo
