I think it's time to consider benching Hartman in favor of Angeli because Hartman doesn't look good at all now, Angeli has shown a capability for running the offense, and Angeli has multiple years of eligibility remaining.

Can we acknowledge that it's obvious that Hartman is not the QB Notre Dame was expecting him to be? Bench Hartman because he is making the offense one-dimensional. Can't be any worse with Angeli, and at least by starting Angeli now, it gives him a number of games to start in preparation for next season. If Hartman were playing adequately, I would say just continue running with Hartman. But he just isn't playing well. The team is winning in spite of Hartman.
Just overthought the situation in my opinion; Pitt wasn’t going to be a threat if ND left 30 or so seconds. Try to keep the last TO and enough time for some options to score at the end of the half. Still learning in year 2 that’s all…never cost them thank goodness. GO IRISH ☘️!! Beat Clemson!
It’s simple you want to leave as little time as possible for the other team to have a chance to score and get the ball back after halftime. The thinking was correct. The penalty ruined it
