Can I ask a silly question , I have booked this peg for Sunday and was reading the rules it says no fixed leads , was the solid bag set up you used a fixed lead ? I'm new to solid bag fishing and wanted to give it a go 👍🏻🎣
No mate. The inserts I use on mine (gemini tackle) are soft so they pretty much come off the lead on the take everytime making them free running. Most other lead inserts arnt as soft and don't do this. But the term "fixed lead" more refers to a lead that is permanently fixed on in some way making it a death rig.
Good luck mate. Yeah I know about the safe zone leaders, but I just thought it was easyer to say leaders are banned coz you can't use any other type. Keeps it simple then mate.

I went there on the Thursday till Friday when you were there on the Sunday,and I was on peg 8,and I had a gorgeous 20 mirror nice little place

An esp tungsten bead. Just stops the back lead from sliding right down to the rig.
