- It's a wrap on a week of HOT Aeon R thrust chamber assembly testing at NASA Stennis. Five days. Ten hot fires. One hundred eighty-five seconds of blue fire. A whole lot of learning. The road to a full Aeon R engine mission duty cycle is on the horizon.

Love the sound of the spin down after shutdown
Those turbopumps are incredible
Sounds like me getting up in the morning
For real
A new era in space flight
This has to be the prettiest engine exhaust I've ever seen.
This is absolutely incredible
Thanks for uploading on UA-cam love being able to see details 😊
Gotta love those Mach diamonds.💎
such a pretty clear-blue flame.
Good luck as you move forward. Looking good. Beautiful shock cells in that exhaust.
Making big moves! Big love for y'all. Keep it up.
That shutdown sound! It's music to my ears
Incredible, thanks for sharing
Are the cooling the ground so it doesn’t ignite itself
Awesome you're getting there now 🤯
Good work Clay!
amazing
So Awesome! I can’t wait!
fire, fire!
Awesome!,
That spin down!!!! Woah
Good burn 🔥. I’m watching from Florida’s Space Coast 👍
Uploaded it on my 🎉🎉 birthday!!!
Happy birthday, internet stranger
That reminded me of every morning I had to fire up my oxy acetylene torch at the steel mill back in the late 80's
new ringtone
What makes the gasses leaving the nozzle after shutdown eject asymmetrically? I assume that is most likely GOX, but I’m curious what part of the injector design makes it switch directions like that
Awesome!
Wonderful!
Nice sound
honk
What chamberpressure was achieved? How much thrust?
sadly they never post anything interesting detail wise
I bet the thrust wouldn't be very telling anyway bc I am pretty sure its missing its full nozzle
Wow
WOW
is that the engine with a full size nozzle ?
Just the thrust chamber, going by video title + the plume being overexpanded
@@gavinregier6177 So the bell must be quite large.
@@francocastilloAR maybe not giant, but it definitely wont be small
@@gavinregier6177 You can see how the gases expand with respect to the size of the bell.
@@francocastilloAR yes, the plume is overexpanded because there is no bell currently, just the thrust chamber
Cooling-off spin cycle.?.
Oxygen rich cycle?

Looks like They tryna make mechagodzilla or something
Watching that mach diamond is awesome. I had someone telling me that if you get a mach diamond, it means you are losing thrust, smack my head. Anyway, awesome to see more companies going for regular space shots. My company gets asked when am I going for 1. But the answer remains the same. No money. These things are increadibly exspensive. So I stick to STEAM workshops to inspire future rocket scientists
Technically yes actually, mach diamonds indicate that you're at a lower-than-optimal exit pressure, but its worth it to do it that way, because you'll get that performance back and then some once you get into the upper atmosphere. It's pretty cool. If you watch closely, you'll notice there are no mach diamonds once youre in space
It's not really a problem.
@@francocastilloAR Yeah, you're right it's really quite insignificant. Actually, I'm now realizing my first comment was wrong, there's no real nozzle on it so the flow is definitely underexpanded, this is just something that happens for engines in the atmosphere. Idk, still cool lmao
And that's why I subscribed...Nice IP and steady consisrent pressures. That'll be good fer sum nice D/v. You guys keep rocking it baby. You got this. Great job!
🎉
They have overdone it a little with this backyard marshmellow burner.
blu
Honk v2.0 !
😅😮😅😮😅😮😅😮😅😅😅😅well information good show 😅😅
Diesel ⛽ engine is the future 👍
