Fantastic job as Always. You are so talented and pay attention to detail. I think that it came out looking Amazing . Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Take care and stay safe
A fine restoration, well done. However, based on the shape & threaded butt end, it's far more likely that this is a factory-made decorative finial for a flag pole, likely for parade use. Regardless of origin, It's looking great!
Bravo!
If it was an 'old' African spear head, why did you destroy the threaded tang in order to create a totally different tang. It looks more like a modern decorative piece left in a wet place to get rusty, how much pitting was there on the very dull blade. Sorry, but the actual piece did not match your description.
So Michael why don’t you show us how it should be done! I for one think his videos is both entertaining and very well executed. And before you complain, no English is not my native language.
I doubt that it was an antique to begin with a good chunk of retoration videos on youtube are new blades that have been rusted for the sake of being able to " restore it"
That.is.one.cool.looking.spear.

Greetings from Belgium 😉🇧🇪🖐️
No me convencio la madera que usaste. Igual de todas formas muy buen trabajo. Felicitaciones. Saludos de Uruguay.

Looks cool.😊
Saudações do Brasil!
This is fake zero pitting no staining of the metal, no dings or dents on the blade.
great work.
I'm wondering just how old this spear really is. Especially with the screw threads on the end.
Industrial, probably from the 70's, Spain or Morocco. A souvenir for tourists.

Siiiiii
To jakiś kant, kiedy wybijał, było prostokątne, później widać gwint, a następnie kuje, jakieś czary?
This is Not an african spear.
I'd have gone with a 2 part take down shaft, so the full length could B 6+ft
Beautifully restored. What product do you use to remove rust?
Yep Beautiful Restoration
It’s perfect
🤣😆👍
Short Spear

I suspect the spear is a reproduction as the handle was threaded? Nevertheless, another great restoration.

How do you know it's African and what part of Africa does it come from?
👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍
This is a fake restoration video. The rust was deliberately made on the steel.
Yeah but it's purdy
It not an african, because made from the perfect european steel! and good metalurgy. Don't know no one metalurgic plant in Africa. Are you know?
Uh oh here come the try hard know-it-alls.
This is not African
African? Which country?
There's a lot of countries, cultures, languages.
🤷🏿♂️

Before "restoring" you should carefully inquire about the origin and original form. This is now a worthless phantasy spear.
So Michael why don’t you show us how it should be done! I for one think his videos is both entertaining and very well executed. And before you complain, no English is not my native language.
@@rolflehrman9681 your English is as clear as your point. I agree. Show us

It might be worthless but it’s filled with love and hard work
What was it before??? Just fourty or fifty years years old max, it was their fantasy spear back then, its his now!
