I love how Abby doesnt look remotely interested in being on the show, and looks bored and like she'd rather be somewhere else. The mum is really happy to be auditioning, and the daughter couldnt care less lol
I feel the mum was a bit selfish and looked well pissed when she was sent off she charged off with a thunder face instead of encouraging her daughter poor kid couldn't get a word in with her mum
I loved that the crowd cheered for Abby instead of the mom... but I also felt so bad for Abby.. she clearly wanted nothing to do with this performance.. until Simon let her sing by herself.. then she lit up... and even then Mom was still trying to steal the spotlight... :(
Woof. This was horrible to watch. Mum's a total control freak. I can't believe she tried to break into her daughter's audition. Abby is so checked out. I hope she moves out of her mother's house soon because she needs to get independent.
I honestly thought the mom has a great voice! It was sad to see her being more concerned for herself than encouraging her daughter. But I guess Simon didn’t have to disparage her either.
The mom should have auditioned by herself, she actually doesn't have a bad voice. And Abby obviously looked like she didn't even want to be there. The match didn't work at all.
Based on comments from people who been on the show, they make u come there super early just to wait for hours and hours and hours. At 14 I would have had the same expression/attitude by then lol she probably was exhausted and wanted to get it over with by that point
That woman is being touched by Ant and Dec and yet she doesn’t care. What a waste. Anyway, as a mum id never force my kids to do something that they didn’t want to do.
I think the mom sang amazingly, just because the judges don't like "pub" singers they can go suck it. The daughter had "attitude," and the only reason they wanted to hear her alone was to shame the mom, and to "shame" older women who want to sing. Oh, you're older than 16, well you can't be the new idol, buh bye... Conversely, this is the same reason everyone LOVES Susan Boyle. Stick a 47 year old fat man, who can sing well, on stage, and no one will be shocked or care nearly as much as we do about Susan Boyle. Because a nearly 50 year old, heavy set, gray-haired woman is past her prime, you don't expect her to be good at anything because all women are good for is reproduction and youth. That's why we all love her so much--ooh, because she's old AND she shocked us by having real "value" for an older woman. What a sexually discriminatory, and age discriminatory culture we live in.
"Stick a 47 year old fat man, who can sing well, on stage, and no one will be shocked..." -Misandry is every bit as obnoxious and vile as misogony. I do agree that we live in an age of sex and age discrimination, though I don't believe this was it. For the record, I thought the mother sounded great. She has agreat tone and richness to her voice and the daughter just seems seem nervous. She has a great smile as she gestures to Simon around the 2:36 mark. With the right people behind them Abby could build her confidence and the mother could be helped to tone-down her exuberance. 'Would love to know what they are doing now and if they are still singing.
that mother may have been able to sing well but you could j tell how much of a control freak she was. that poor daughter, u could tell she didnt wanna be there at all and this was all her mother’s forcing. this has nothing to do with age, ur j pissy
“I thought Abby was better than you” Lol growing up is realizing these crappy TV shows are all fake and scripted. This is such bad acting. Not 1 person could seriously think the daughter has a better voice. It’s just pointless manufactured drama for TV ratings

They obviously told her to act grumpy at the start to make it more entertaining
Abby looked so relieved when they all said no.
I feel the mum was a bit selfish and looked well pissed when she was sent off she charged off with a thunder face instead of encouraging her daughter poor kid couldn't get a word in with her mum
3:29 ok, but can we talk about how perfect the timing of that "Ohhh no" was?

I think that’s why the judges rejected them. Because the mom was only out for herself and knew that Abby didn’t want to be there
it wasn’t abby who wanted to do al of this. she didn’t want to be there
The mom should have auditioned by herself, she actually doesn't have a bad voice. And Abby obviously looked like she didn't even want to be there. The match didn't work at all.
She said she'd tried but hadn't succeeded.
i thought they did well... why rejected? :o
I think it’s because they knew that Abby didn’t want to be there and the mom made her do it
she doesnt look very excited about it :D
“abby is so excited to be here” hm clearly
Abby get yourself adopted 😂
loved it!! moms quirky but sweet just excited lol i think they told the daughter to act bored they do that stuff they were GREAT
Based on comments from people who been on the show, they make u come there super early just to wait for hours and hours and hours. At 14 I would have had the same expression/attitude by then lol she probably was exhausted and wanted to get it over with by that point
i don’t think abby wanted to be there
That is a very toxic and narcissistic mother, and the daughter is just doing what her mom asked.
She just sat there with a stupid look on her face, didnt even answer the interviewer
She couldn't get a word in for that mother of hers
what is the name of song abby sing along?
Where are they now? 2024
I like her daughter 😍😘
Suspect
i like abby she a mence rapper but mum is a pub singer dont go well
Are they still performing?
People saying it wasn’t bad seriously gotta get their ears checked
well the moms definitely a good singer. Daughter is not

Anyway, as a mum id never force my kids to do something that they didn’t want to do.
Touched on the shoulder.

Jezus mom, talk for yourself..

I think they dissed the Mum, because from the beginning she kept downplaying her daughter's lack of experience "singing in pubs".
You sound like a really bitter person
What song did Abby sing on her own?
Can't Abby speak for herself?
She was having a temper tantrum.
🤨
bruh it wasn't even bad
