    I have 1,000 miles on my '21 300 xc-w and I can say the bike is awesome. I was on the fence 250 or 300. I'm super glad I bought the 300. 5'10 185 lbs. Perfect bike for me.

      I ended up with a new 500EXCF. Came from a 250XC. I’m really surprised how low first gear is. Dang good in the woods, had no flameouts yet running stock. Really liking it. I’m sure the 350 is a great bike too.

    6:14 - as Billy Bolt mentioned, a lot of pro Hard Enduro riders (other than being mandatory using it) they run the tail light and licence plate holder because it's another way you can grab the bike , with that's extra plastic underneath (on Huskys and Katies). Of course it's not ideal, but just wanted to let you know. I know you guys in the States like to get those "XC-W's" (they're called EXC's here in Europe) naked but that's one of the reasons we don't (AND of course because we can ride them in the streets too). ;-)

    Having recently bought a new2me 2020 300 XCW, I would say this review is fairly in line with my experience so far, other than he left out the 'bottom end sputter' issue. I was worried about the suspension coming off the XC, but its actually pretty awesome, the gearing is perfect for the tight gnar, and it does pull like a train!

    Hi Kyle, Something I've been wondering about is, I've never seen you add the kick starter? You've installed aftermarket items, better battery, capacitor and whatnot to get home. Why no kick starter kits? I had one installed on both my 2020 Husky 300 TEi and KTM 250 XCWi. The kit is about $200 - 225 so comparatively, it's not a break the bank investment. Just curious.

    Good review and agree. One think you missed about xc-w is the PDS rear suspension setup. I had a 17te250 and it was a great bike with lot of big improvements and super reliable sold it with 200 hours second owner still running it and very happy. Since I bought my 2020 250 xc-w I been able to climb stuff I would have never been able to on te250 especially slow nasty stuff 1-3 gear. I thought maybe it was the TPI power delivery being smooth and easy. Well I put a TSP High compression head/ECU reflash kit on my 20 250xc-w and it climbs even better now and it making way more power down low and mid. It got to be the PDS rear shock it just gets more traction and a more direct feel compared to linkage. Maybe I am wrong.

      I just bought a 2021 350 XC-F for my son. What a machine! Very easy to ride, but an absolute beast when you grab a hand-full of throttle. The 350 feels a little heavier than my 300XCW even though it weighs a few pounds less. In fast terrain I fell like I could ride the 350 XC-F quite a bit faster than my 300 XCW. Maybe Kyle should get a 350 XC-F every year instead of the usual 250 XC for faster riding conditions.

    Kyle, I have to call you out. Parts interchangeability is common and why did you hype this up so much on the KTM's but not others? In addition, there is more to bikes than just the product, there are the people that make them and sell them. I would rather buy a brand of bike sold by independent dealers and preferably made by a smaller manufacturer (like Beta and Sherco FYI). Most KTM dealers could could not care less if I walk in. Consequently I don't care much about their bikes. And if you see my handle I obviously used to be a KTM fan. There's more to a bike than "features". Other folks are getting this. Why aren't you?

    Kyle,
    Got a 22 300 xcw tpi. Maybe 35 miles on it. One tank of gas. Recent rides in Minnesota in 90 deg heat. 2-3rd gear on up or getting into gas it acts like a carb’d bike with rich jetting or too high of oil in a pre mix. Just won’t clean out under throttle. Added spark arrestor but it’s clear. Thoughts??

    hello guys. wondering if the xcw have a lot more after market parts options compared to the huskys? i'm a short guy so sure need it lowered. i'm leaning towards husky becuase lowering them is a lot easier with just a lower link swap, but worries about not able to get aftermarket parts.

    Great channel but running less oil effectively runs a bike richer, not leaner. Rich and lean are terms related to Air/Fuel ratio, not premix ratios. Lean means more air than fuel,.

    This might be a dumb comment but, you mentioned that these bikes use less oil and therefore run leaner? I thought that more oil is leaner because the gas is thicker. Less oil is rich because it is dumping more gas. I could totally be wrong here.

    • @kimojon9665
      @kimojon9665 3 роки тому +1

      Yes you are wrong. The oil is what makes it super rich. More oil is like putting more chocolate in milk. The more chocolate in the milk the richer it is.

    • @zachary3777
      @zachary3777 3 роки тому +1

      You're confusing two different things. There is the Oil/Fuel mixture, which can be rich or lean, and the air/fuel mixture, which can also be rich or lean. Having a rich oil/fuel mixture will tend to lean out the air/fuel mixture.

    You should make a video on how to properly start and warm up a tpi bike. Your previous video is confusing a lot of riders, and costing a lot of spark plugs. If you don't make a new video, you should at least delete the old one because its false info. I've been watching your videos for a long time. Im not just an internet troll lol.

      @@Moneypress11 you're supposed to let them idle until they reach a certain temperature at the head. I believe its 156°F (sometimes it takes 5 minutes sometimes it takes almost 10). They have a cold map that they run on until then. The cold map adds extra fuel and oil to speed up the warm up process. If you give it any throttle, you're adding even more oil and gas. This results in fouling a plug. Kyle did not recommend that at all haha. And I know a lot of people that followed his procedure and fouled tons of plugs before they learned the right way to warm them up. Hope that clears it up for you.

    Too bad they made it uglier this year. Nice that they fiddled with the TPI fuel/air mix so that the fancy starter button actually works. But what did they do the rest of the year? No kick start, no bump start, no grab bar/strap and for how much? I'll keep buzzing along on my tricked out KDXs.
