For every piece of media or text, I watch it 3 times in a row. With music I will listen to a song 10-20 times over a week because music contains more expressions and phrases which take longer to memorize. Imo you need to see a word at least 3-5 times for it to be properly in your memory. Everytime you re-watch something you'll comprehend more, pick up, and reinforce more.
Very true but it also helps to do retrieval practice which they taught in my school where you put all notes and materials away and try to recall a word from memory either from nothing or from an English prompt and vice versa to strengthen your mind’s ability to recall that information. Also helps to show yourself how well you really know something based on how long that takes
I am picking up some Japanese from anime and songs and I was thinking about learning Japanese more seriously. But I wanted to learn Chinese at the same time because of work reasons. This video getting recommended to me was the biggest W of this month thank you :> I guess I will focus on Japanese fluency first
I have watched some videos of you, I liked how you described your tips and ways to develop language skills. My native language is Spanish, some time ago I started to develop my english fluently until now in my current job I am working with Taiwaneses and Chinese people; they must use English because I don't know anything about Chinese hahaha. I am thinking so deeply to try to learn Japanese, because I would like to talk an Asian language in a future, but I need to still using my English so I thought to use English resources to begin in my Japanese learning, What do you think to use your second language to increase a third language? Greetings from México! 💚
yeah you can use english to try to understand Japanese. I recommend using chat gpt to explain you the meaning of a Japanese word in both english and spanish. Most Japanese words have precise definitions that don’t exist in other languages so it’s better to ask chat gpt to explain you the word in your other language
Dude, I like your content unless a lot of editions
