Hey Pals, Maizy here.
You don't see me much but please know I have always been in the background for the last *almost* 9 years and especially since December 2019 when we launched Saikou. I remember sitting in our friend's garden looking out to the sea a few beers deep when Ross suggested we give Saikou a go and that is when we decided that we'd make the merch company we'd always wanted that was inclusive, fairly priced and well made. To know that things have changed to the point where we cannot meet those goals means that the only real option is to step away.
Saikou has been everything to us, we were able to support ourselves and hire our friends who were in a bad spot over covid, grow a company together and put some clothes out in to the word that we were proud of and to this day, seeing you all share pictures of you wearing Saikou makes my heart swell.
My background was in healthcare and I get to start a new chapter there and Ross, as always will have premium hardstuck content coming your way daily.
Thank you for all the love and support, Saikou truly kept me going through some really dark times.

Rather business be slightly tougher than have crime skyrocket in some areas. Again, thankful they are safe.
My fiancee works in fashion, i know the struggle of trying to compete while keeping your resources/products ethical while giant companies can just pump out merchandise. Ill always love my arcana tees and wish you both the best ❤

Ross, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider in the future doing limited merch drops at least, even using print on demand sites like Gelato (I use it for my photography prints and have been pretty happy) but where you go through doesn't matter. The art and style you offered at Saikou was awesome and truly unique.
I understand the need to move on at this point, but you clearly have some wildly talented artists and truly inspired ideas, it would be such a shame to see them disappear completely! Even if it's a stream anniversary drop, or New Years. Pick an event and do limited runs! I know it somewhat goes against why you started Saikou, but I would truly hate to see such awesome and inspired work come to a complete end!

Remember man, everything ends. and that's a good thing. Don't look at it as a failed project, but as a project that was succesful while it lasted. 99,99% of all companies that have ever existed are gone now. You made something that you wanted to do, you enjoyed doing it, and now the stress surrounding it and your own moral compass brought you to make the decision to stop doing it. That's an experience that no one can take away from you. You helped a lot of people and you gave even more people something that they can enjoy for a long time to come. Now focus on the here and now and when you feel like you could do more, the next idea is just around the corner.
Iv been a avid watcher of the channel for as long as I can remember, iv bought a few beanies and a shirt or two. Got a picture of Charley and had a grand time. I have wore my black big brain beany to death and a few months back I got a white one that I haven't warn much. I will keep this for the rest of my life, thank you for sticking it out and knowing what the line in the sand is for quality. keep doing what you are doing my friend.

I'd picked up a beanie a long while back and had been holding out until my new job and a restock to get a coupe of the newer designs. Will be sad to see Saikou put on ice for now, but genuinely I think you and Maizy, family, and friends/staff who helped along the way put together something incredible and worth every penny. Being able to support creators AND get something worth wearing or using is the ultimate win and I'm hopeful the future will give another opportunity again.

Damn this is so sad. Ive had a beanie, a few tshirts and the bag and a hoodie. With sevral differnt pins over my time was starting to think about getting a new bag cos this one is starting to die a bit. Which is impressive cos i used it daily for school before i left and its been my go to bag for whenever i go out for years now.
I'm more of a casual viewer here that comes across your videos every now and then, and to be honest I didn't even know that you had a shop. I just checked it out for the first time and The Tower shirt is the one that I like the most but unfortunately it's already gone. It's a shame that you'll have to close up shop, and I hope that you two find success in all of your other endeavors.
I know this is probably gonna get buried in here somewhere, but some of my favorite shirts that I own are the Lucky Cat shirt you did as well as the Wheel of Fortune and Justice shirts I had picked up, and I still wear my big brain beanie pretty much the moment the temperature starts dropping.
I've come into some health complications over the last couple of years and money has gotten really tight, but when I had anything to spare or just wanted to get something to cheer myself up a bit the first place I went was to your online shop because even before I bought a single thing I knew that I could always get something that I wouldn't be disappointed in while supporting potentially one of the kindest souls I've ever seen online.

I have Saikou clothing (full disclosure I got it as a free gift from Saikou themselves as I did an animation for them). The clothing is great, had them about two years and no sign of wear on them. It's a shame to see it die, but it was good whilst it lasted, and I'm glad it happened to create at least some nice and affordable clothing :)
Well can't really give it all the good bye I'd want, being flat broke myself, but I'm glad to say saikou is still the last place i bought shirts from, and despite some inconvenience with one of the collab shirts, i could not be happier with the service.
